We have always been happy with our purchases, which is why this experience was so shocking. Recently, I bought a bracelet and a chain as gifts for my mom. Unfortunately, she didn't really like them, so for the first time ever I needed to make a return. The employee was rude from the beginning. She first said she would "let it go this time," but then suddenly changed her mind and refused to process the return, claiming that the tags "didn't look right." The items were in their original condition, and this explanation made no sense. The items were not very expensive, but that should never determine how a customer is treated. After years of shopping at Macy's and spending thousands of dollars, I expected respect and professional customer service, not hostility and accusations. This experience was extremely disappointing and has seriously changed my opinion of Macy's. I hope management addresses this issue so that other loyal customers are treated with the respect they deserve.

At that time I didnt think any CS personnel would behave like this to anyone, rather they would go to the extent of understanding the problem. All I wanted was to return few items alongwith the tags, but she was venting at how the tag is not at the right place, it should be like this, it should be like that etc. And it was not once, every item she picked, she lectured me over and over and when I said, I know you mentioned it before, she flared and told me she will keep telling it. I really wonder if Macy's is really looking at how its customers are being treated, are they given benefit of the doubt, are they being pleasantly and politely addressed, are their needs considered - there's an intention to help and there's what you want me to do about it attitude - and sadly with this lady, its the later. Stamford store should really name this desk from "Customer Service" to "Customer Up yours" department.

I knew of Hawley lane shoes years ago when I managed a fitness store in bulls head plaza. So I took a drive to the shoe store. I literley can not find the words of how exceptional my customer experience was. The second I walked in i was enthusiastically greeted by lovely lady named Natalie, who respectfully introduced me to a gentleman named Scott. I have never in my life met such a passionate sales individual. I myself take pride in educating my clients, and providing them with as much knoweldge as possibly can, but when it came to Scott fitting me for Hako One, I was literely speaking to doctor! Scott strongly educated me on facts of a foot that I never ever knew mattered. I couldn't stop smiling the entire time of the shoe fitting, I was absolutely amazed by the knowledge and expertise I was being provided from Scott. My customer experience was beyond expected that I actually returned 3 times, because I had that many concerns and questions.
