Walstrom's staff and service continue to impress me. I had in issue on the water yesterday with my…read moreLund's trolling motor. Called and their customer service went above and beyond assisting me. As far as coming off the water driving right there for them to test my batteries, as that's what they "thought" the problem might be. Tested, installed new ones and I was out the door. If you looking to buy or anything else with boats this is my go to dealership! Thanks again for getting me back on the water !!

They contacted me and said it only needed a new prop. Also informed me the bilge pump needed to be replaced. I told them I would bring it in the spring. At that time the boat went into storage. This spring I immediately took it to Walatrom's to get the bilge replace along with 3 other services they recommended. I was told it was to be done in 4wks. After 4wks I was told the bilge had a loose wire and was repaired. They gave me a Spring set up but had no time for the additional 2 request. I pick up my boat and got it on the lake with no change in engine performance. I removed the prop they installed put on a different one and returned it. They informed me they NEVER take boats on a lake, they only test them in the barrel. When the manager look at my original invoice he saw where it was to be tested in the lake. They did return my money for the prop. I had been going there for years when they were Traverse Bay Marine and their service was exemplary. I will never go to Walstrom's again or recommend them to anyone.

I bought a used pontoon boat a few years ago from them. It's been a great boat and their…read morerecommendation to buy it was good advice. I've had the boat serviced by them for the last couple of years. So far, everything has been fine. They are very nice, and responsive. Everyone seems to care and know what they are doing. I found the owner very pleasant and concerned with addressing concerns.

DO NOT GIVE GRAND BAY MARINE YOUR BUSINESS!!! Absolutely horrible experience that I hope nobody…read moreelse has to endure. The whole operation is a phony scam and it all starts from the top with the owner Liz. They promised heated indoor storage, took our money, and were unable to provide us with indoor heated storage come late October. Mike the service manager was a complete ass when trying to come up with a plan as to what they were going to do, while the boat sat outside in the elements for weeks. They then transported the boat to another facility, and during the process proceeded to wreck the boat costing $32,000 in total damages. After months and months of back and forth email exchanges and getting nowhere, I began to get very frustrated and asked for an in person meeting to discuss how we were going to move forward. Owner liz and crew met with me and assured me that she would handle it. We left the meeting after coming up with a plan to order parts and start the repair process, in which they said we would have to wait weeks before other boats are worked on in their shop first. They cashed the two party insurance check and then proceeded to do nothing once again. After another week of them not doing anything, I once again followed up to see what was going on and Liz absolutely lost her cool with me. She called me a "little baby", told me that she was not going to give me my money back, and told me that I was not allowed at her place of business...! I had to work with their insurance company directly on how to recover the money to get my boat repaired. Thank god this nightmare is coming to an end as we were able to get the boat and drive it down to Grand Haven where things are finally getting done!! We did learn that they also did not perform oil changes, did a horrible job with acid on the waterline, and prepped the boat like they were just going to leave it outside and not tell us (they actually did this to another customer we've heard from). It never ends with these guys. Horrible, horrible experience. Stay far away from Grand Bay Marine. You're asking for a lot of trouble. This is the first review I've ever written. I'm not one to post something like this, but this company is really that awful that I felt the need to. Thank you for your time, and I hope this helps spread awareness as to how shady Liz and her company Grand Bay Marine truly are.

Several months before we arrived on Lake Michigan with our 47 foot motor yacht we set up to have it…read moretrailered the short distance from West Bay to our indoor storage. I was told that they researched thew boat on line to make sure they could move it and paid him to drive out and make sure he could deliver it to our address. Spent two days bringing the boat around only to arrive and be told he wasn't aware of the underwater profile and wouldn't chance an insurance claim at the boat launch. Had me pay $1000. for an emergency haul out on Friday night. Then he came in ahead of schedule on Saturday morning decided he couldn't do it and just drove away. As I was driving in I got a call, not from him, from the hoist operator at the marina informing me of the situation. Mid-October, N Lk Michigan, sitting in the slings with no place to go. He finally called a coup[le hours later with nothing but "sorry"?! No offer or suggestions on what I might do next to fix his screw up. That was what was really unacceptable to me. He went so far as to get short with me and raise his voice over the phone when I tried to ask a single simple question. I was also told just before all this started that he only ever put one block and one set of stands at each end of the boat. For a 36000 lb boat, that is not acceptable, or professional. It's just a way for him to save time and make more money. When he first arrived Friday afternoon, he told me it was already his 6th transfer of the day. No one with time and money invested in a boat should ever trust this hillbilly with it.
