Walstrom's staff and service continue to impress me. I had in issue on the water yesterday with my…read moreLund's trolling motor. Called and their customer service went above and beyond assisting me. As far as coming off the water driving right there for them to test my batteries, as that's what they "thought" the problem might be. Tested, installed new ones and I was out the door. If you looking to buy or anything else with boats this is my go to dealership! Thanks again for getting me back on the water !!

Last fall I took my boat to be winterized and that it had an engine issue. I was told they would…read moreassess and take it out on a lake to assure the work was complete. They contacted me and said it only needed a new prop. Also informed me the bilge pump needed to be replaced. I told them I would bring it in the spring. At that time the boat went into storage. This spring I immediately took it to Walatrom's to get the bilge replace along with 3 other services they recommended. I was told it was to be done in 4wks. After 4wks I was told the bilge had a loose wire and was repaired. They gave me a Spring set up but had no time for the additional 2 request. I pick up my boat and got it on the lake with no change in engine performance. I removed the prop they installed put on a different one and returned it. They informed me they NEVER take boats on a lake, they only test them in the barrel. When the manager look at my original invoice he saw where it was to be tested in the lake. They did return my money for the prop. I had been going there for years when they were Traverse Bay Marine and their service was exemplary. I will never go to Walstrom's again or recommend them to anyone.

Several months before we arrived on Lake Michigan with our 47 foot motor yacht we set up to have it…read moretrailered the short distance from West Bay to our indoor storage. I was told that they researched thew boat on line to make sure they could move it and paid him to drive out and make sure he could deliver it to our address. Spent two days bringing the boat around only to arrive and be told he wasn't aware of the underwater profile and wouldn't chance an insurance claim at the boat launch. Had me pay $1000. for an emergency haul out on Friday night. Then he came in ahead of schedule on Saturday morning decided he couldn't do it and just drove away. As I was driving in I got a call, not from him, from the hoist operator at the marina informing me of the situation. Mid-October, N Lk Michigan, sitting in the slings with no place to go. He finally called a coup[le hours later with nothing but "sorry"?! No offer or suggestions on what I might do next to fix his screw up. That was what was really unacceptable to me. He went so far as to get short with me and raise his voice over the phone when I tried to ask a single simple question. I was also told just before all this started that he only ever put one block and one set of stands at each end of the boat. For a 36000 lb boat, that is not acceptable, or professional. It's just a way for him to save time and make more money. When he first arrived Friday afternoon, he told me it was already his 6th transfer of the day. No one with time and money invested in a boat should ever trust this hillbilly with it.
