One of the reasons we chose it was because she really wanted an outdoor space, and enjoyed many flowers on her balcony as well as visiting birds. The care, cleaning and dining staff was very friendly and helpful to her. However, when I requested that the nurse reevaluate her because she was beginning to need more assistance, she told me she'd visit my mom the next day but she never did. That was 2 months ago, (and my mom passed 1 month ago.) In general the reception and administration staff seemed very unorganized and unreliable. One of the main reasons we moved my mom to Atria was for them to check on her if she didn't show up for meals. They did sometimes but it seemed very casual. On Mother's Day, when mom hadn't responded to any of her many texts, I called for a well check at 1PM. It was too late. My mom had passed away sometime in the previous 24 hours. How do I know? State of her body. No activity on her cell phone for over a day. And with investigation we found out she had not been checked on by Atria staffe since lunch Saturday, despite having not eaten the next three meals. Hopefully my mom passed peacefully in her sleep and didn't suffer as that's what she wanted. We will never know for sure and we are very saddened about about this. We hope other families don't experience the extra grief of learning their loved one has been ignored that long. We have been told staff has had retraining on the check in procedure. I hope so! PS I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because like I said my mom was content and she loved the staff she interacted with. The extra star is for my sweet mom.

Bed bugs! Not even a one star.... My loved one experienced bed bugs at this facility and for TWO…read moremonths the executive director blew off my concerns and finally had someone come to check it out. So strange that on the report they also claimed there were no bed bugs and I have pictures to prove it. My loved one lost ALL her belongings and I got her far away from this facility. Stay away, look elsewhere and do your research.

There is No independent living Option available as Web suggests, and really only option is to either do child like activities or stay on room. Living room reserved for residents sleeping all day. No-one and nothing else is allowed. Have tried to use for quietly getting out. of room, but all seats and couches are occupied by sleeping residents. Have no recourse but to stay in approximately 500 sq ft room. this has been a nightmare!!!! If you still want to LIVE and not thru children's lives, this is not the place. Just hope this keeps others from making mistake that I made.

Monique the Executive Director, and her crew including a nurse and team of CNA's and helpers, a friendly receptionist, a great maintenance staff, and a special note to the chef who brought a series of her pies over the course of our several visits for us to take home, lol, have worked with us to ensure Dad's experience is a positive one. Plenty of activities, a kitchen open to special requests and with a menu that rivals many regular restaurants in the area, walking paths around the building, and a location within an easy walk to a shopping center (esp good for outings). Used this service for a short time for a family member who is learning how to walk again, needed…read moremobility assistance and help with physical therapy, and assistance with daily activities because of mobility issues. Their hourly fee is expensive. The In-home aid the Company sent had no training or experience with assisting anyone except perhaps a family member with dementia. We have insurance that contributes to part of the cost. The insurance requires a short form to be submitted with the assistance provided daily. The owners said we have our own form. We showed the owner what information was required. She said we will included that in our form. Their filled out form had multiple issues time after time. We paid them with a check which the owners lost, then found. We had to put a stop payment on the check. I hope there are better run services.
