He had us go to Arizona Tile to choose our jumbo slabs and he took it from there. I even saw my counters being custom cut in a video on his Instagram page, @sunset_stone. Within a week, we had gorgeous countertops. His crew was extremely neat in their work. They vacuumed and swept up after every single step of the installation process. They put down blankets to protect our floor from their toolboxes. They were done in a few hours and the quality of their craftsmanship is visible in every edge and barely visible seam. We bought a very pricey sink and faucet abs he took such careful care of them when he installed them perfectly. I could not be more pleased and my kitchen looks like a model home because of him!

Once I hired Carlos, he was reachable at early hours, later hours, and even weekends. Contractors in this industry are notorious for being bad communicators, missing in action, or disappearing mid job. Through my whole project, not one of those single problems occurred with Carlos. I was able to communicate and approach Carlos whether it was questions, requests, or concerns. Also, Carlos and his team were prompt, friendly, and hardworking the entire project. I am very particular and took my time to find the right hardware, accessories, or to make a decision and Carlos and his team worked with me to make sure they executed my husband's and my vision and to our satisfaction. Remodels can be daunting and comes with a price, so I truly appreciated their understanding. His pricing is competitive. Give Carlos a call and he will promptly show up for an initial consult to walk through your space or home and understand what you're hoping to accomplish. Both separate issues but both related to the work done by Mike Bergstrom. The leaks are where he added on to our existing home, and we choose to avoid issues to not just add to the roof but completely redo the whole thing! We invested the extra money ironically hoping to have a worry free addition using all new. The first electrical issue was related to the fire detector in the room addition being installed incorrectly, so it kept going off. The second was a short in the new wiring in the kitchen addition done by Mike. When hired Mike talked a good sales pitch he promised to always stand by his work. We've tried to seek his help over the last 8 years with numerous issues undeniably related to the addition and he will not repair his work. When called a gal named Rhonda answers.... Promises to help but then ghosts you. Contacting a company you paid over $70k for should receive at a minimum a response. We reached out simply to obtain documents or proof on our roof warranty seeing that most have a 10 year warranty. We didn't want him or his team back in the home considering his work is a danger but we did want to check warranties seeing that the roof he did had leaked several times (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2025) all at the joints of the addition. Simply put..... stay away from this company, not only is the workmanship a failure but there is zero accountability and integrity from the owner.

In total we had 4 quotes for the flooring and theirs was best for the quality we wanted. We also needed some electrical work done and they again beat the rest of the quotes that we had gotten. Today they came and did both flooring and electrical all in the same day. They were great about communicating with me when they were picking up supplies and they were very respectful and kind the entire time they were here. Would recommend them to any of my family and friends. Will very likely be back in the future for more work!

Avoid This Contractor - Unprofessional and Poor Quality Work…read more We hired Mike and his team for a full kitchen renovation after speaking with multiple contractors, ultimately choosing him because his quote was a few thousand dollars less. Unfortunately, this decision ended up costing us much more in stress, time, and additional expenses due to the poor quality of work and overall unprofessionalism. The project began immediately after Thanksgiving, and we were initially told it would take one to two weeks to complete. Instead, it dragged on for months, finally wrapping up at the end of February. While the bulk of the work was completed within the first few weeks, many key aspects were done incorrectly. Among the biggest issues: * Most of our cabinets were crooked * Our garbage bin pull-out did not function at all * The sink was improperly not properly sealed We brought these concerns to Mike's attention multiple times, but rather than taking accountability, he consistently shifted the blame--on the holidays, the vendors, or even our own kitchen layout. Instead of addressing the problems with professionalism, every discussion became an argument where he tried to justify the mistakes rather than correct them. On top of that, there were constant delays and last-minute schedule changes, making the entire process incredibly frustrating. Mike would frequently commit to a specific date or time, only to either cancel last minute or show up hours late without notice. There were multiple instances where we rearranged our schedules and canceled personal plans to accommodate his timeline, only for him to either not show up or notify us at the last minute that he'd be delayed by several hours. This entire project required us to micromanage him for months. We constantly had to reach out for updates and follow up on unresolved issues. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, we were often met with excuses, forcing us to check in repeatedly--sometimes for days--just to get basic updates. It was exhausting and completely unprofessional. To his credit, Mike did offer to fix the remaining issues toward the end of the project. However, by that point, we were so drained from the months of back-and-forth, excuses, and constant delays that we were simply unwilling to go through another drawn-out process. The garbage bin alone took months to get fixed, and based on that experience, we had no confidence that the rest of the issues would be handled any more efficiently. Major issues remained unresolved--such as the entire section of cabinets around our refrigerator being visibly crooked. Despite showing him clear photo evidence (including a level proving they were not straight), he still insisted the issue was due to our floors and refrigerator, which were not the problem. Another major issue was his employee, who displayed a lack of care for our home and quality of work. He placed heavy tools directly on our new furniture and stone countertops, which is completely unacceptable. Despite multiple complaints, Mike insisted that we work with him and made no effort to correct his employee's behavior or craftsmanship. While we initially saved a few thousand dollars, the frustration, lack of professionalism, and poor workmanship made this renovation an absolute nightmare. I strongly recommend paying a little more for a reputable, reliable contractor who takes accountability for their work--because in the end, this "cheaper" option was far from worth it. To add to the unprofessionalism described above - I received this text from Mike after posting my honest review, which I took as a threat.
