Confusing financial practices/disrespectful communication…read more As a self-pay patient, I depend on clear and itemized billing, which was always treated as a bit of a hassle. I came prepared to pay for each visit at the time of the visit, as per the stated policy. Each and every time they asked if they could bill me rather than taking my payment. This includes yearly physicals to treatment for colds etc. I know processing insurance payers must be simpler, or at least more routine, but this method is very bad in my experience. A stated policy works best when both parties participate. When asking for itemized billing, or questions in general, their communication is at best indifferent, disrespectful at worst. There are some quality doctors in this practice, for sure. For self pay, you'd be better off with a practice that understands that relationship a little better.

However the office staff is now unprofessional and…read morerude. in May I had to call three times to get prescriptions actually called in to the right place, I was polite, patient, waited a week between calls to check on it so it was about three weeks before it was resolved. I left a message to ask a question of the doctor and three weeks later still no answer. When I called to cancel an appointment two days in advance and set up an appointment for an injury that required urgent care I was met with short, snappy, unprofessional communication. Clearly Amelia was annoyed to talk with me and yelled at me that she has put in a million pre authorizations for medication prescribed and she refused to do it this time when it was prescribed and she received the request. I let her know I can see I am annoying her and I am good and ended the call. This person called my phone number three times and left a very rude voice mail telling me she would "let Dr. Justin know about this phone call." Hopefully they have recorded monitoring and he can listen to the call and hear how she talks to patients. Also, I can leave a doctor office if they have a terrible office staff if I choose. I shouldn't be harassed by the entitled office staff that refuses to do their job and instead calls me to attempt to scold me twisting the conversation as evident by the voicemail she left. Now 6/26 I got a letter dated 6/15 that they are choosing to drop me as a patient, of course it's received over ten past when it's dated. I highly recommend just staying away unless you enjoy a dumpster fire office.
