But walk into the local Lowe's and you wouldn't know it. While there are good people here, the chances of running into an angry, rude or nutty staff member is about 100%. Speak with management and they will assure you that change is coming, but it never really does. Take for example the exit Nazis at checkout. One young woman behaves like the bad cop in a bad film, losing her composure and barking orders at customers who dare to ask her a question. Worse, question her poor behavior and she responds in full fight mode. But complaints don't register, remediation goes unheard and she's still here. Definitely not okay in a business with the public. Add just one other hardware store, say Home Depot, to downtown Suffolk and Lowe's will vanish along with its horrible customer relations. And with luck it's bad employees will go with it.

She recommended we check with Trindco for their remnants. I picked the Hubs up from work in Norfolk from VB and then headed out...waaaaay out to Suffolk. We got there at our appointment time and then waited...and waited. The whole process of picking out samples that we liked that checking to see if there were remnants available could have been streamlined greatly. Then adding to that, our woman took a phone call from her partner and set us back another 15 minutes (which was already pushing my husband's lunch break at this point). After we got the estimate for the bathrooms...it was more than our kitchen (which is huge and more square footage than all three bathrooms combed) estimate (non-remnant). The little showroom is nice and there are samples of various solid surfaces for you to see. They use Kohler for the faucets, I believe. The sinks are included with your estimates and a pretty good price. You may be able to find a deal out there, but we just didn't have any luck that day. The people were nice and the guys retrieving the remnants for us to see express their gratitude to my husband for his military service. Making the process of selecting samples and verifying whether or not there are remnants available in that size more efficient would help greatly. They do have a location near the Oceanfront but the remnants are in Suffolk. All in all, I believe others will have some luck going out there but we, unfortunately, did not.

The product itself is very good, and the showroom staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, the company as a whole failed me during the second installation. During that install, one of the installers damaged an upper kitchen cabinet door--and I watched it happen. When I contacted Trindco about the issue, they took no accountability and refused to correct the damage. This is a direct, verbatim quote from their email to me: "Furthermore, because this is an upper cabinet, it sits completely outside our immediate active work zone." To be clear: once you step into my home, the entire home becomes your work zone, and any damage you cause is your responsibility. Their refusal to acknowledge this is unacceptable. Another major concern: Trindco requires full payment upfront, leaving customers with no recourse if something goes wrong. In my opinion, that practice should not be allowed. If you're shopping for countertops, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Trindco is not a stand up company, and my experience shows they do not stand behind their work.

Before my neighbor introduced to me The Neighborhood Harvest I was getting my greens and veggies from the local Food Lion or Krogers. It was difficult to find organic produce that wasn't already ready to go bad. The greens and veggies I get every week are SO FRESH and DELICIOUS! I typically get kale, cucumbers and a bag of the Green Machine blend which is perfect for my daily green smoothies! There hasn't been a time yet that the greens haven't been perfect, never wilted or smelly! We recently tried the fresh apple cider, it was SO GOOD! We just got a notice that they are having fresh cookies as well so we are definitely going to place an order for those as well! I especially love that I am assigned to my own Neighborhood Harvest representative who checks in with me periodically to make sure I am a happy customer. I get text messages of any particular deals they are having, last week they were having a deal on pears. I don't mind having to place my ice packs out in my cooler the night before and so far I've never had a problem with my deliveries. Measurements were taken, fabrics, hardware, and interliner were selected, and the order was placed. Weeks went by without an update, so I followed up. I was then told there wasn't enough interliner in stock and they'd have to order more, which delayed the timeline. A new delivery date was provided, and I even received a call confirming that the drapes were on the way. Then, out of nowhere, I got an email saying the interliner shipment arrived damaged and the delivery had to be refused. No clear update since, and they couldn't tell me when the product will actually arrive. It feels like they priced and sold a product they didn't really have available -- and now the process is being drawn out so long that a customer might just give up and switch to something else. Bait-and-switch? Maybe. I'll let you decide. Perhaps I am just frustrated... and its just a bad coincidence

Was that too much to ask? Maybe. One of the "budget" stores only had cloth covered. The overstuffed cushions were a sign of ...well... I will let you decide. Nothing felt right. A second store had mostly motorized recliners. One even had a full leather cover. Unfortunately it was double my price range. Then came Brandon house. There was more than one that fit the criteria. I eventually decided on a Parker Gemini. But by now there was no rush. So I went home to compare prices with other Parker dealers, internet and retail. Brandon House tied for the lowest price. I felt like GOLDILOCKS. Just right! The color I wanted was on back order. That is a supply problem corroborated by other stores I called. My chair arrived after 8 months and it was worth the wait.
