Luckily once they brought her back for triage, she began eating some lettuce which made me so relieved as I was extremely worried about her condition. So we did take her back home to monitor her condition and scheduled her a follow up appointment, and thankfully she resumed her normal demeanor and was back to eating and drinking normally. Today, Sunday 8/9, we brought Basil back in for her follow up/general well visit and I cannot sing enough praise for Dr. Amanda Steinagel! She did such a wonderful job helping us figure out what may have caused Basil's episode this past Friday and provided a wonderful treatment plan to hopefully avoid the situation from happening in the future. We were even sent home with some medications, just in case it were to happen again, so we now at least have something to try at home before we rush her back over if it were to worsen. She was extremely professional and kind, and everything was explained very clearly! She was genuinely so amazing, I cannot recommend this place enough especially if you are looking for a rabbit savvy veterinarian. I look forward to continuing Basil's care with this practice and I am so grateful we found them!

From check-in to check-out, everyone was kind, compassionate, and amazing with my rabbit, Mr. Binky. Dr. Lindsay Wilfong was incredibly thorough, never made us feel rushed, answered all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. She even emailed a detailed report with additional information afterward and gave me her email in case I had more questions. That level of care is truly above and beyond. The hour-and-a-half drive was absolutely worth it. Thank you to the entire NorthStar VETS team for making us finally feel informed, supported, and hopeful. Five stars isn't enough!

I was actually recommended to this place by a friend in the NJ Bunny Parent Group on Facebook. I had been going to Red Bank (a great place too), but the care was getting too expensive. So I am very grateful that Madison and Louis are able to be patients here. It's a small business with a small staff, but you and your pet will get the attention you deserve. Just be patient, call ahead, be nice, and you'll be fine. They're now allowing one masked guest to go inside during your appointment. It was nice to see the inside! They even have a separate waiting area for exotics. The vet is located in an older building with a quiet, woodsy, homey feel to it. There is ample parking and you just call before heading inside. The staff is kind and helpful. My girl bunny has been getting her teeth trims here for about two years by Dr. Fanders. Dr. Fanders was able to discover the teeth issues Madison was having and sent over some photos. Poor Madison had a lesion on her tongue from pointy molars/teeth. Dr. Fanders was thorough in her explantations of everything going on so I could understand how to take care of her moving forward. Two years later, Madison is doing much better, even after her most recent visit this past Monday. She hurt her front paw and needed some medicine and rest. She also received a good combing by Dr. Fanders (bonus) and is feeling so much better. For that visit, I believe that it cost $130 including her medication. Not the cheapest, but exotic vets can cost more. They accept Care Credit if you need to stretch out the payments over 6 months which is great too. On another visit last year, I had to bring in Sir Louis as he had chewed parts of my rubber slippers. Dr. Danielson had to see him as Dr. Fanders wasn't available. Luckily he was totally fine and I learned not to leave my slippers laying around. I don't believe that they're accepting new patients at this time, but that could change in the future. Anyway, this is my experience and I (not sure about Louis) am very happy with them.

The staff was amazing and made the entire experience very welcoming. I felt they treated me and my dog as a real family not just a client or a paycheck for them. I felt the experience was really one on one and the doctor really cared about helping my dog. I didn't feel that I got ripped off when leaving or that my needs weren't met. The vet even scheduled a follow-up for my dog to check on her, which was amazing, my prior vet just gave me a hefty bill and would say call if anything gets worse and we can "try to squeeze her in". The vet, Dr. S., was really down to earth and easy to talk to. I didn't feel she was rude, negative, or cut me off when I spoke. I felt very respected as a dog mom and I felt she respected my dog the entire visit. I don't know if the other reviews just had some individual who were disgruntled but that wasn't my experience at all, and I was very skeptical and on edge about vet offices from my prior taking advantage of me, my money, and treating my family just like a pricetag instead of taking care of the reason we were there. I have every intention of continuing my relationship with Yardville Vet Hospital, I'm extremely grateful on finding them!

Although we haven't been able to enter the actual facility due to curbside restrictions at the moment, the service we have received is a true testament to how great this place is. Our dog was taken inside and cared for as we waited in the car with a follow up call with Dr. Samet the moment she was returned to us. Dr. Samet was such a pleasure to talk to and answered any questions I had. Big compliments to Paige at the front desk, too. She's an absolute delight and so friendly, making our experience even more enjoyable. I am one of those pet parents who does their research to make sure my golden is given the absolute best care, and I would highly recommend YAH if you're in the area and in search for a practice who cares about their patients and their families.
