We had a dispute with this Home Run Inspection Company, after we gave them the check for inspection, but we had to cancel after seeing for the first time that the backyard slope will send water into the property. Our reasons are companies incur fixed costs to do business, and consumers only pay for the service after they receive it. It was not that we were irresponsible, but had a valid reason to cancel. Being charged, while not receiving your home inspection service is not a good feeling for a customer. It is similar to going to a car dealership, and having your mechanic there to check it out, but prior to the negotiation, you discovered that the car was totaled, and had to cancel the service. They unilaterally imposed a $250 fee, and their reason was that they could not schedule another appointment on that day. There are many good professional inspection companies out there, save your headaches and hassle. read more

I used these folks for my pre purchase home inspection. The bulk of the inspection was spot on except the watering system. The inspector told me that he would not be able to inspect the system since it was winter, but if it didn't work in the spring they would send someone out to repair it. Well, the irrigation system did not work and when I asked them to send someone out to repair it they told me they would have never promised anything like that. After several emails back and forth with the owners it was clear they were not going to stand behind the inspectors statement. Having purchased 4 homes in the past, I have had experience with home inspectors. This home inspection was incredible. Scott Price is professional and extremely thorough. 3 1/2 hours later we had a 58 page report informing us of every detail of this home. We ended up with a Home Inspection binder. It has a maintenance book, contractors he has worked with and will vouch for. A voters registration, mail forwarding, and Homestead Exemption form was also included! Overall, I would not recommend this company. I chose them because of their Yelp reviews and ease of scheduling. However, in the end, they don't conduct business at a top tier level. After paying for the home & termite inspection, they sent me a $50 bill (without upfront notice) for a crawlspace fee and I couldn't see the report until I paid. The irony of this is that the inspector couldn't fit in the crawlspace and said this in person to myself and both realtors. I called to ask for the fee to be removed or for a smaller inspector to go finish that part of the job. The lady on the phone said "Well I highly doubt the inspector would lie about getting in the crawlspace.." implying that I, myself, must be lying. Now I have to call another company to go do the critical crawlspace inspection. The report comes in a very user friendly format and seems quite thorough but if there are any issues, their customer service is dreadful and insulting. read more

I employed Home Run Inspections to inspect our home, and they seemed to be thorough enough until I discovered some obvious rot around my deck steps, after the closing on our home. They did mention "wood to ground contact", but we were reassured that the damage was minimal. Upon further inspection, we found that most of our deck supports were completely rotted (to the point of there being a gap between the ground and the supports) including the main beam support to our back porch/deck. These issues should have been noted during inspection, which they did acknowledge and called it "a learning experience", however they refused any culpability, and added that a refund for their service was out of the question. I now have a $2,000 repair bill which should have been the responsibility of the seller. read more

We were in the process of purchasing a home and Home Run Inspections, LLC did the inspection for us prior to moving in. Multiple things were missed including a broken dishwasher, an inch crack in the back door so that bugs and insects in, back door of the garage has weathered wood, we have a window in the living room that is cloudy and you can't see very will our of it. Those are just the things I found within a 24-hour period. I tried calling the 24-hour number immediately but did not reach anyone until two days later. When I did reach the owner's wife, she asked if I had read my contract stating they were not responsible. So I guess you pay for an inspection and if there are issues within 24 hours after moving into your home, they feel like they're not the ones that missed anything, that it must have been the fault of the previous owner (wood rot, crack in door, broken shelves in dishwasher, AND DOES NOT DRAIN, and cloudy window ALL missed and caused by seller within 30 days of moving out). She was rude, she was condescending, and ended up hanging up on me. This company I would never recommend to anyone! What a joke and SO unprofessional. read more
