The greenhouse is beautifully laid out with an incredible selection of flowers, hanging baskets, annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, shrubs, and so much more. Everywhere you look there's another burst of color, and it's obvious they take great pride in caring for their plants. Everything looked healthy, vibrant, and ready to thrive once you got it home. What I really appreciated was how peaceful the greenhouse felt. There was no pressure to hurry, so we were able to take our time walking through the aisles, admiring all the different varieties, and picking out our favorites. The staff was friendly and welcoming, answering questions without ever making us feel rushed. It's the kind of customer service you hope to find at a family-owned business. Whether you're looking to add some color to your flower beds, spruce up your porch with beautiful hanging baskets, or simply enjoy browsing one of the nicest greenhouses in Amish Country, Yoder's Greenhouse is absolutely worth the visit. We'll definitely be making another stop the next time we're in the area. If you're taking a day trip through Amish Country, be sure to add Yoder's Greenhouse to your list--you won't be disappointed!

AMISH KITCHEN COOKING…read more A big restaurant where you'll notice some Amish women working while wearing their traditional white head covering or bonnet. I visited Der Dutchman restaurant for the first time in Walnut Creek, Ohio in late July 2025 with 3 guy friends and 2 female friends. We drove down from Cleveland to visit sites in Amish Country (Millersburg and Berlin). We had just finished touring the Yoder Amish Homes property (over an hour tour in the heat) and after the fun tour we all were hungry for lunch. Der Dutchman came up on a Yelp search so we decided to visit. FOOD (see attached pics) -- Typical home cooking. Served buffet style. Reminds me of Hometown Buffet in Columbus but that restaurant doesn't exist anymore. The menu is large so you will definitely find something that you like. I got fried chicken, shredded beef, mashed potatoes, string green beans, and a side salad. I also got a second plate of food which I think was just another piece of chicken because guests can enjoy "all you can eat"; although, I didn't get too much food neither did I fill my plate up in my original serving. Plenty of options to choose from, including protein (chicken, fish, beef), salads, carbs (rice, mashed potatoes), and dessert. SERVICE -- friendly and efficient. The lunch time was busy but our waiter greeted us, brought water and bread rolls to our table and checked on our table during lunch. If you're visiting Amish country for the day like my friends and I did, then stop by Der Dutchman. It's a well talked about hometown favourite. All 6 of us enjoyed our time. Our bartender Michael was fantastic. He was very personable. Made phenomenal drinks and also had incredible food recommendations. We started with the pretzel and that was to die for. We ordered the whiskey wings, which were fantastic. My husband ordered the meatball pizza and it was literally one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I got the chicken Milanese with the arugula salad it was absolutely incredible They also have happy hour till 6 PM on Saturday so that's also another bonus. We will definitely be making this place part of our weekly rotation.

I will say, it's cozy, bordering on tight. If all the tables and chairs were occupied, it would not be fun to walk through. My husband and eye wanted to try a little bit of everything. We decided on the Whiskey Wings, Medjool dates and Wood Fired Oysters for apps. The wings were good, standard bar far. My husband thought serving them in a pile was odd lol. The dates came served in a tomato sauce, which was new to me. I've had "devils on horseback" before (which I believe has cheese where this was stuffed with chorizo), so this preparation was different. They were also good and the sauce was HOT (temp). It came with bread that I wish had been warmed up a little. The Oysters were tasty but small. For entrees, my husband got the shrimp and Polenta. It was delicious, but man did that Polenta hold some heat! It was nearly inedible for at least 10-15 while he stirred it trying to get the steam and heat out. I had the Margherita pizza and that was also delicious. Particularly the crust with the right amount of crispy. We also got 2 cocktails each, though i dont quite remember the names. All were pretty boozy, which we like, and balanced. Service was prompt and gracious. I would definitely go back.
