And I could both hear and feel the bed springs. I've slept on more comfortable cots. The shower was a mess. The hand held shower head would not stay in the holder. I had to hold it, or drop it on the floor. Where it connected to the plumbing, it leaked, and sprayed water all over. Another thing is their false advertising. On their page, they promise a lobby with coffee. They promise a workout room. Both of those are closed (due to Covid). If Covid was a very recent thing, I could see those still being advertised as amenities. However, it's been more than a year. Other businesses allow people inside; why can't Red Roof? Or if they insist on keeping those things closed, they should be honest, and state that they are closed.

Cleaning people never emptied the trash. We got a large trash bag and removed it ourselves. No room touch up or anything. Front desk was unattended with a sign saying stepped away. Hardly ever a person at the desk. Had people in the parking lot grilling and drinking. Had extension cords stretching across to work on something. Cost $450 for three days of nothing.

The rooms were very clean with new furniture, nice bedding, and vinyl "wood" floors. The free breakfast was quite nice and included a pancake machine, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, oatmeal, and a pastry section. They also had yogurt and great condiments including Chula hot sauce and Nutella spread. My only complaint is that the pool was a bit cold. They need to turn up the heater a bit, my youngest was freezing and got out right away. No hot tub.

It appears the hotel hasn't been updated since the Reagan administration. The decor is outdated and worn. The place is dark, dirty, and dank. It smells like a high school locker room after the homecoming game. The carpet was severely stained, the refrigerator didn't get cold. We travel with insulin so we had to put it on ice instead of keeping it in the fridge. The sink isn't in the bathroom, IT'S BY THE FRONT DOOR! It does not meet the expectations I have for a decent IHG property. If in town again I will definitely stay elsewhere unless it's under new ownership and been renovated.

Tip: they lock the doors at night so if you ever do venture out and the doors are locked, there is a card reader on the side that opens the door when you slide your room card.
