    Cute sitting area.

I don't usually stay at Hilton but I do have a Hilton Honors account so I random chose to stay at Home2 just to see how it goes. And honestly it was a good choice, I think this might turn around my feelings toward Hilton that Doubletree in Toronto made me feel . The gym was good, breakfast was good in the morning. They provided light snacks and beer in the evening. The room was big and if I was staying long term I think it could be nice. The only down sides were that I had a towel with what seemed to be mold spots on it like the towel was maybe folded while still wet, and the shower head looked like it rarely gets cleaned.

Great accommodations and a plus for having free EV charging, this is the reason we chose this location that and I'm a Diamond member. Staff was friendly and accommodating, breakfast was hot and fresh, coffee was hot and good. My only issue was the AC. There is a thermostat on the wall and you would think this controlled the AC, well, it does not! We didn't sleep very good because it would cool down then get very hot, we adjusted what we thought was the thermostat to the lowest setting and fan to on, but this did not work, finally at 3 am and sweating in bed I got up and looked at the unit under the window which is usually controlled by the thermostat on the wall. It was set to 74°. I adjusted it to 70° with constant fan, THIS finally fixed the issue, unfortunately I had to get up in 4 hours to leave. So if you're going to stay at this establishment, DO NOT USE THE THERMOSTAT ON THE WALL!

Clean and inviting establishment. We really loved that they had a dog run behind the hotel for our pups The breakfast was extensive also! It has your typical foods like a waffle maker, cereals, toast, sausage, yogurt, and more. There is a pool, and nice dining areas inside and out. Love that the rooms have a pullout couch, dishes, dishwasher, and more. Helps make you feel better while being away from home!

My husband is a diamond. This by far has the very best service. Mariana and Victoria are a walking compliment to this location.

After being cramped up in a car for three days, it was so nice to have a little room to spread out. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, had lots of good storage, and had all the in room amenities we needed. The shower had good water pressure. There was also laundry out in the lobby that didn't require payment and everyone was using it courteously. The pool was indoors in a gazebo with sliding glass doors. The hot tub was broken, which we were pretty bummed about because we had sore backs from all the driving. The kids didn't care that it was broken though. The breakfast in the morning was a really good spread! There were options for every type of breakfast goer. You do have to show your buffet ticket in order to eat and you're not allowed to take food back to your room though, so we had to get everyone out all at once to eat. It was a nice stay overall, definitely recommend the plus over the basic Best Western.

So here are the best & worst provided in a brief overview. PROS: The customer service here was excellent! The hotel's texting system showed a very attentive front desk agent prior to the time of arrival. I usually check in online and obtain a digital key, yet I decided to stop by the front desk to get a regular key. The PM agent was genuinely friendly, as was the AM agent/general manager the following morning. No problems here at all. Parking was also plentiful, and the access to I-20 eastbound was simple. CONS: The first impression of the room told me that the hotel either was dated and required upgrades/renovations, or that it really needed some TLC. Several spots were found on the walls, the flooring the connected the carpet to the wall was ripped & scuffed badly, and two out of the five lights within the room were completely out. But the one thing that disgusted me the most was that the desk chair seemed to have dried male bodily fluids on it, which I can only describe that it rhymes with "Bemen" or "germ." I put a pillow on top of the chair to insure it, yet then decided that I wasn't going to work at the desk that night. I wound up doing paperwork on my laptop while laying in bed, which I found surprisingly clean. And why I didn't switch rooms? I was just too tired and settled, having arrived in the evening while planning on departing early the next morning. The bed itself pretty much saved everything. Overall, this visit was so-so. I'm willing to give this hotel another try in the future when traveling through west Texas. I only request for the property to pay a little more attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness, and basic maintenance with electrical items such as lamps.

The other one is an actual hotel and doesn't accept dogs. The Swiss Clock Inn is configured in a U-shape. You can pull up and park right in front of your motel room. Inside the U is a grassy knoll with picnic tables and a gated pool. It is perfect for anyone traveling with a dog. We enjoyed walking around the U and my dog also liked having access to a grassy area to smell and explore. Plus, just a few minutes walk behind the motel, you will find a gated dog park that is part of the city for both small and big dogs. Also in the center of the U is the Alpine Restaurant. You can get meals here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many locals frequent this restaurant. As a guest of the motel, you will receive a coupon for a free breakfast buffet. It has the usual hot and cold items that you find at the BW chain. While the breakfast is free for hotel guests, bring some cash to tip the waitstaff for your table setup and frequent replenishing of food items. The room was clean and comfortable. I slept well and was not disturbed by any other guests even though it was a weekend night. While I would have preferred to have made the drive all the way to El Paso, I was thankful that BW had a dog friendly hotel in Pecos, TX where we could stop for the night. I will probably end up staying here again if I drive back to Dallas this way.

Ohhh lala, I found another treasure in this piece of caca town…read more You can drive past this hotel 20 times and swear you might be getting into something bad since you passed the other hotels on each side and think you will have a better choice. Truth be on the fact is the other hotels are decent inside and out but you might be paying out your butt unless your company is paying for your room. Forward to La Bonita Inn and Suites, it does not look like much from the outside since the parking lot has a lot to be desired as well as the marquee sign looking plane Jane but step inside and you will notice a transformation to updated Motel as well as the rooms. If you work out of town a lot like I do and stay in various hotels/motels, you know that feeling when you've been tricked because the outside of the hotel looks Grand and lot of flowers and lights and then once you get inside you are greeted with cracked corners, mildew bathrooms and semi bald carpets with TV's halfway working and air conditioning heating systems barely working? Well somebody got it right this time, it looks like they started from the inside and are working their way out. The rooms that I have stadium in two consecutive nights number 107 and number 108 were very clean, pleasantly placed furniture, new TVs and amenities. Maybe I have not stayed at another really good hotels but what caught me off guard was the field liquid hand soap dispensers in the restrooms by the sink and in the showers. You get hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. You do not need to go to the store and buy your necessities unless you are picky about your fragrances. Another Edition that I like about these rooms is you get a medium size refrigerator, not a winky dinky unit that you can barely fit a loaf of bread, mayonnaise and sandwich meat in but a really nice eyes refrigerator! Probably the timing that I've been here but the hallways are quiet at least to say, no slamming doors, no Rugrats running up and down the hallways and for Pete's sake no x-rated moaning sounds coming from my neighbor's walls. They do not have a hot breakfast here like you might be expecting but at least it has a waffle iron that you make your waffles in Houma a toaster and your usual continental breakfast items. Message me if you are in town and want to know where a really really good hot breakfast with fried eggs and omelets are. There is a laundry room with about four units in there. The cost that I saw was a dollar twenty-five next to it is a really good working ice machine unit. For your snacking pleasures there is a interior convenience store if you want to call it that for your snacks, chips or whatever. Don't expect too much from there. Front desk personnel when I checked in had decent attitudes, no qualms there. In short do you know what I like the best about this Motel? On discounted sites you will be paying around $62 that's including tax, fees Etc that's where the other motels or stayed around would be around the $80 mark.

Our favorite dish was their chicken fried steak, which normally was so big that it took up the entire plate. Their mac & cheese used to be so creamy that it was like a dream eating it, their salad bar was one of the biggest salad bars that I had seen in Pecos and they're dressings were in such big containers. They reminded me of what you would put soup in to serve with ladles. I normally recognize servers and staff as soon as I walk in and it feels a bit like home. When I walked in last month, I didn't recognize a single server and was met with convenient store type chips and junk food. I knew immediately something had changed. The salad bar was beyond lacking had very little choices and one plastic container of ranch. I definitely decided not to get the salad bar. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was no bigger than the palm of my hand and it was so dry it felt like paper machete in my mouth. I ordered the mac & cheese as a side, and it tasted like noodles in water that had shredded cheese on top that refused to melt. The cheese remained in the same shape that they probably came out of the pre-shredded bag in. For the loaded mashed potatoes, I was served chunky potatoes that had the cheese that refused to melt and nothing more on it. It was one of the worst meals I have had in Pecos. I have a feeling that the new owners are gonna run this restaurant right into the ground and could care less. It's a shame that Pecos has yet again lost a great tradition for many families. I don't recommend going here. The Staff was not as friendly as before the food choices were slim. Very much downsized and tasted disgusting. Don't waste your money or time going here anymore. Gross.
