    Roach on ceiling
    Timothy C.

Checked in, went up to the room, sat on the bed, looked at the ceiling and saw roaches went down immediately to get a refund. We booked for three nights. They issued a refund for the two other nights and told us that we would have to speak to the manager Raymond the next day so we called him. He was very rude to my girlfriend and said welcome to Florida we have roaches. I highly recommend no one staying at this place as it is a dump and it roach infested..

Great view, Great front desk staff, but the room is out of date, floor needs work ,bathroom needs work, mattress well just know I didn't sleep good. The bed-it was sinking in and the a/c blew out a mist of cool air . I slept horribly and woke up in sweat. If looking for a quick overnight stay I'd recommend, but this place needs to get with the program and update everything. However, here's a picture of my view-2stars is good enough

Recently we stopped here for an early dinner with our friends John and Steve, on their boat. We had to wait a bit to dock since the place was full. Finally we were able to and it was easy from then on. The restaurant has a great location right on the Intracoastal and pretty much every table and seat has a view of the water. We checked in with the host and we got a nice table right by the water. We all loved our food. My kebabs were delicious (I am glad I remembered to ask for medium rare, otherwise, the waiter said, it would had come well done). The fries were crispy and crunchy. My husband and friends got sandwiches and they also loved them. The restroom is located inside the hotel, just steps from the host station. Great place for a nice meal by the water.

My husband and I stopped by to have a drink because our son was the DJ at San harbor he was great as usual. Well we were so surprised sands harbor has been done over and it's fabulous really very nice! We had a drink from some very nice bartenders and we left and we're home by 12:00.

My daughter lives in Pompano, we were going on a cruise and so I had gotten a Wednesday and Thursday night stay at Sands and go on our cruise on Friday morning. There was severe thunderstorms here in Texas and the airport was shut down and I was not able to get out for two days until Friday. I called them Wednesday night told them I couldn't be there bc the next flight out I could get was Friday. They said after the charge goes through to call back. Because I booked with booking.com, I probably would not be able to get refunded. Today I got back and called The Sands Harbor Resort and spoke Julia, who said she is the manager. She said there isn't anything she can do and continues to tell me it's clearly stated there's no refunds on their bookings. I said there was nothing I could do either. I could not help that I couldn't get there. The fact that they wouldn't even work with us when it was not anything in my control is why I would not recommend.

If you are fortunate to have Renee you will have the best time. All the people are so friendly. This is the best place to watch the boats on the water. Coldest beer by far in the area. I hope you all have a fabulous time. This is a favorite place of mine. Thank you. Cheers

Baseboards were filthy every visit, and the bathroom cleaning felt questionable (never quite confidence-inspiring). Parking is a consistent headache. The lot is a block over, and exiting with the plate reader is nearly impossible. The QR code only worked once across four stays, so plan on frustration. There are several destination EV chargers in the lot actual hotel round shaped lot , but they're useless--any car is allowed to park in those spots, so they've been blocked every single time I've been here. Don't count on charging. Front-desk service is the same person every visit and remains the same: zero smile, no hello, no please or thank you. Just the transactional "ID... use your card over here." It's impersonal and chilly. Breakfast is geared toward little kids and is mediocre for everyone else--always cold. Skip it and walk across the street for something better. The saving graces are the price (genuinely solid value) and the location. You're right near cool local spots and restaurants, which makes the stay workable if you're mainly using the hotel as a convenient, affordable base.Would I return? Only if the rate is low and I don't need reliable parking or charging. The location and cost keep it from being a complete write-off, but the cleanliness lapses, parking mess, blocked EV spots, and robotic desk service drag the experience down.aa

It is an ocean-view king room. This means the room is on the side of the building but still had a great view of the ocean. You enter valet on the northern side of the building. The valet Matt was quick, friendly and helped with my luggage. Valet is $44 a day. There was a short line at the front desk but there were two employees working and it went quick. The $45 resort fee covers chairs and umbrellas on the beach and two complementary drinks. You can pick from a small list of drinks including beer, g&t and wine. They also offer a morning exercise routine. Monday was yoga by the pool. The room was large with a nice modern design, a small couch and side table and a nice balcony with two chairs and a table. There was a coffee maker and fridge but no microwave. We ordered room service and had breakfast out on the balcony one morning. There were games setup in one of the meeting rooms right outside the pool and free popcorn was offered daily. The pool was large with plenty of chairs but people did save seats early in the morning. I went down at 9am and there were about five seats not claimed and only around eight people at the pool. Everyone else started showing up to their saved chairs around 10am. The pool did get less crowded with fewer children as the day went on. By 3pm there were more open chairs available. The beach is right outside the gate. Along with the chairs and umbrellas there is a sand pit with toys for the kids, a tiki bar and volleyball net. The hotel is very clean with modern decor. It is in a very residential area so there aren't any shops or restaurants around to walk too. Everything is about a mile south near the pier. It was the perfect place for rest and relaxation which is exactly what I was looking for.

Housekeeping staff are super kind, and anything we needed arrived quickly! The negative: Don't waste your money! We paid $400+ per night (amenities included, valet separate) and found out the hotel sells $45/day passes to non-guests. We had an issue with our room, and the hotel could not move us because it was full. We were told we'd get 2 chairs, access to the private beach, and 2 welcome drinks. No chairs, all 4 days we were there (party of 8). The welcome drinks were gin, non-ach or wine... Service was extremely slow, the pool was overcrowded, and the staff was so cranky/rude that everyone seemed to dislike their job. For a hotel marketed as a remodeled, luxury spa retreat, this was disappointing and not what we paid for. The icing on the cake was waiting 30m+ to valet our car due to the influx of people coming and going, oh, and having to bring our own luggage up and down due to no carts. Spoke with Ricardo about our entire stay, and he just stared at my husband, then proceeded to say, "Well, when you go to Disney on a holiday weekend, it's going to be busy." Sir... when I go to Disney, I know it's going to be crowded because it's DISNEY. You're a Marriott selling $400+ rooms a night and over-crowding your hotel, causing your guests to not enjoy the amenities you're claiming to provide, then when we say we are unhappy, you don't even bother trying to work with us; you looked annoyed. I wish we read the comments before staying because it seems to be a recurring theme.

The main pool had plenty of seating, a water slide, and a little kids areas. The rooms were spacious, especially for our large family. We had a two-bedroom unit with a full kitchen, separate living area, and generous bathrooms. The extra square footage made a big difference. There were a couple of minor downsides. Some of the common areas and resort amenities felt a bit dated. There was also an elicit or in the main building that was out of service. Our room did not have a washer and dryer but there was a nearby laundry room. All in all, a solid 4-star resort that delivered on space and pool variety. Great value for a relaxing Florida vacation!

Nice, big spacious room & we took full advantage of the kitchen since we got groceries, u have a shopping center across the street from the back part of the resort. nice small balcony over looking the mini golf, nice hot tub & good toiletries to use. As for the property it's cute, a bit outdated the place can probably use a facelift but overall not bad specially for the time frame we were there. 2 good size pools, both have hot tubs, there's a bar area outside but that was not open during the day seemed to be more later on. My biggest complaint (and many others I talked with) is the pool and hot tub close at a rediculous hour, 8 pm. If you're spending thousands to go somewhere warm, you'd kinda like to be outside at night. Not at this place. They will kick you out at 8 pm promptly. Our 14 year old had nothing to do after 8 pm. nor did we. Their bar area is more like a cafe' environment. This place is suited for families with very young children who want to be in their room before the sun goes down. Housekeeping did not leave any towels or garbage bags one day. Never refilled coffee. Don't even get me started on grabbing a beat up, ripped pool lounger. They are all claimed with towels by 9 am and many sit empty all day. Food and drinks are way overpriced. One burger, a quesadilla and a cocktail for lunch came to $68. We didn't bring a car as we learned last time about the astronomical parking fees. The beds are old and saggy. Bathroom lighting is lacking. Water pressure is on the low side and no foot bar for the ladies to groom. Balconies are nice and roomy. Kitchen area and washer/dryer are bonuses. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The pool and hot tub hours are a deal breaker for me. Won't be back.
