They suggested a few home health agencies, but all of them were unable to see my grandma until 3 days after she would discharge and that was too long for her to go without the exercises she would need in order to be able to acheive any level of independence again. A friend of mine got me in contact with Frank and he was able to communicate with the skilled nursing facility to get orders in in order to start care for my grandma on the day following her discharge, so she did not have any break in care. All of the staff that we worked with at HomeAssist were not just super professional, but were extremely kind, caring, and patient, especially when dealing with an older lady that is terrified of most things and her overbearing family (us) that were kind but were full of questions, concerns, and commentary amongst each other. If ever any one in my family will need home health, I will definitely suggest that amazing clinicians at HomeAssist Home Health, because they truly make you feel like you are getting VIP service!

Special thank you to their amazing occupational therapist Alison and physical therapist Dr. Guy, both were incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and supportive throughout the process. Highly recommend Home Assist for in-home care in San Francisco.

I needed an agency to care for my mom who has Alzheimers. My Mom wanted to remain in the home but…read morewasn't safe to be completely on her own. I searched the Daly City/San Mateo Co area and found BrightLife. I appreciated the fact that they are a smaller agency and their prices were quite reasonable. I dealt primarily with the co owner Michelle to find the right caregiver for my Mom. It took a few caregivers to find the right match and Sonia was the perfect fit. She was kind, attentive, punctual and reliable. On the rare occasion she was not available, a call to Michelle would quell my worries. She would quickly find a replacement or even attend to my Mom herself. My Mom ended up moving into a board and care but while she was at home, Brightlife was a saving grace. I cannot recommend this agency enough. Top notch care and wonderful people all around.

BrightLife's co-owner, Michelle, is a joy to work with; she is a truly service oriented professional. The caregivers are dedicated and highly competent, and really nice people. My mother enjoys her time with them, and has improved dramatically in these three months, already regaining nearly full functionality. I believe that a large part of her success is the kindness and quality of care she receives. BrightLife has the most reasonable hourly cost I found after surveying every agency that serves San Francisco. I fully expect that my mother will make a complete recovery in the next couple of months, and I would certainly use BrightLife after that, if, God forbid, she should need care again.

They're very friendly and welcoming, responding to my requests for help within a reasonable amount of time (I'm usually there at lunchtime, so staff are pretty busy with residents who need extra help with their meals). The courtyards are a great bonus. PR has a family room, and every few months a group of us get together to visit our friend, spilling into the adjacent courtyard when the weather allows. The Activities Director maintains a full daily schedule, and creates a colorful and ever-changing holiday or seasonal display, which reduces the "sameness" for the residents.

I was inexperience and didn't know what I was doing. I thought all the medium size facilities are about the same, so when I found out there were another facility near by has been recently remolded, everything was new, they also had a house cat plus a chicken coop. I thought it would be better for my husband to be in a place where there are animals, because He loves animals. I was wrong, my husband developed a skin issue and lasted for a few months didn't get well. emergency service was called, but the skin problem was getting worse, I finally decided to take him to another smaller facility, under more personal care, my husband finally got over his skin problem. Unfortunately, even though the care was good, but within 3 months, they had to call emergency pick up three times and many phone calls to me because they didn't know how to handle his temperament due to the nature of his Alzheimer's disease. I finally realized I had to contact Peninsular Reflections again because I remember when my husband was at Peninsular Reflections the first time, I was never called due to any problem that my husband had that they couldn't handle. This second time I took my husband back to Peninsular Reflections. It has been 1 1/2 year, I visited my husband regularly, during this year and half, only received one call that my husband had a very small size rash, they informed me and let me know right away, within a week, they work with the doctor and the rash was recovered quickly. That was very efficient and great job. All the staff are friendly and eager to please. They always well come the last minute notice for visitation. To me, that means a lot. It also means they are not trying to make it looking better on the surface when you have an appointment to visit. Anna, the administer did a superb job leading the team at Peninsular Reflections and a facility you can trust with your love ones.
