I really can't say enough about how wonderful Caitriona and her staff are. My mom's dementia had progressed pretty far at the time my father died, and we really wanted to let her stay in her house. We interviewed three agencies, and we definitely felt the best about Caitriona. She is an ally and a friend. She helped us figure out a plan, and helped us with strategies that we adjusted over time. Caitriona Supple and her excellent staff provided over-the-top professional and personal care for the last two years of my cousin's life, with a level of care that one would expect from a family member. Without Caitriona's medical knowledge and care, as well as her compassion and empathy, it would have been impossible for my cousin to live in her home, per her wishes, as I, as her trustee live in Orange County, California, over 427 miles away and could only oversee her care with frequent in-person visits, as well as by telephone, and by email. My cousin required 24-hour care as her dementia diminished her mobility and she was unable to care for herself, even at a most minimal level. A later diagnosis confirmed she suffered from Alzheimer's. Caitriona oversaw her food/diet, even shopping for particular foods, and instructing food preparation for her particular changing needs, insisting on fresh fruits and vegetables. Additionally, Caitriona shopped for whatever medical supplies that I was unable to order and have delivered via Amazon, even picking up prescriptions and making sure they were given per directions in a timely manner. As my cousin's mobility needs increased, and she came to need a hospital bed, then a Hoyer lift, then bathroom accommodations, and breathing assistance, Caitriona advised me as to what and where to order the items her doctor, home health care nurse, and physical therapist prescribed. Caitriona also oversaw and made sure all caregivers were thoroughly trained in the use of all equipment, stopping by her home to see first-hand that my cousin's care was given as prescribed. Prior to locating a personal physician who was able to visit my cousin in her home, Caitriona and a caregiver accompanied my cousin to medical appointments, arranging for a wheelchair van, as my cousin was unable to navigate the steps to exit her home. Eight months prior to her death, when an excellent physician and his nurse made home visits, Caitriona made sure she was in attendance, since I could not be there, and communicated all information to me. Lastly, when my cousin was hospitalized with severe pneumonia, which ultimately took her life, Caitriona stayed at the hospital from very early in the morning, holding her hand and assuring her she was loved and was well cared for, until I could arrive in San Francisco later that evening. Even making sure my cousin's regular caregiver stayed there with her at all times, from the moment she was admitted, until her death, a week later. When I arrived, Caitriona was at the airport to pick me up...would not hear of me taking a taxi or Uber, drove me to the hospital so I could see my cousin, immediately, then made sure I was driven to the place I was staying. A week later, when my cousin died, and I was responsible for making all final arrangements, Caitriona insisted on personally driving me to the funeral home, as well as other places where I had to attend to final business. My gratitude and appreciation to Caitriona Supple is beyond superlatives, and I will always be indebted to Caitriona and her wonderful caregivers for making the last two years of my cousin's life as comfortable, safe, and happy as possible. They even gave her birthday parties and celebrated holidays. We were truly blessed to have Caitriona Supple and her staff attend to my cousin's needs and to facilitate my responsibilities being carried out despite the great distance from Orange County to San Francisco. read more

I cannot say enough about Supple Senior care and their team. My mother was terminally ill and had escalating dementia at the time we sought full-time care for her. She wanted to remain in her home no matter what. The owner, Caitriona Supple, came all the way to a SNF in Oakland to meet and reassure my anxious and confused mother once we made a decision to work with Supple and before we had her transported back to her home in San Francisco. She is a natural with elderly people and had my mom at ease in moments. Caitriona assured me that she maintains a small number of clients since she is highly selective about the caregivers she employs. We had hired caregivers on earlier occasions, and there is simply no comparison. Caitriona and her team are in category unto themselves. Sure, you can hire the larger companies and some of them sill provide good care. What you cannot get from them is the personal level of care and respect that my mother, and our whole family, experienced with Supple Senior Care. We had three primary caregivers, each of whom became Mom's friends during the year that they cared for her. They were professional and attentive; they gave her privacy when she needed it. They brought her treats from home that they cooked, and flowers from their gardens. They made her laugh. They sat and listened to her stories, and they left her alone when she needed it. They fit in just like members of our family. In the last days of her life, when we knew the time was near, they wouldn't go home, wanting to be there to see her to the end even when it was supposed to be their "days off." When she passed away, late at night, the staff who were not with us immediately came over to say goodbye. They insisted on staying by her side for the few hours until the mortuary came to transport her. They said they weren't leaving her until she left her home. They were remarkable, and stayed with us until she left in the early morning hours. They loved her. I have nothing but the highest praise for Supple. Frankly I wouldn't even consider working with anyone else if I needed caregivers again. read more

I would like to give a tremendous shoutout to Caitriona and her coworkers for everything she did for me. I shattered an ankle and needed a lot of help as my husband had to be out of town for 2 weeks when I was stuck in a wheelchair with no weight bearing. I was not capable of taking care of myself. Unfortunately I engaged another service (which shall go unnamed) and they sent a remarkably incompetent caretaker. This person was so bad it concerned me that frail, vulnerable, older clients might be put into her care. On the 2nd day I was barricading myself in my bathroom and calling Caitriona pleading for her help. She was incredibly calm, told me not to worry and that they would have somebody there the very next morning. They sent a fabulous caregiver that was a wonderful match for me and everything ran smoothly for the rest of the time I needed their services. Eileen was extremely organized, used complete common sense and did everything I needed. And I really enjoyed her company. She purchased groceries and picked up prescriptions for me. The house was spotless when she left after her shift. When she ended her day, everything was organized so I could easily prepare my dinner. She did things I didn't even know I needed and gave me space when I needed it. She had a prior commitment for the weekend but they sent another caregiver who was equally competent and enjoyable to be around. This caregiver did not drive and Caitriona offered to pick up groceries even though she was leaving for Ireland. The first caregiver returned the next week and even though the week ended with Easter Sunday and she had family plans, she got me out of the house to visit a farmer's market just so I could get outside of the house for a short period. Although my needs were relativey short term, Caitriona treated me as if I would be in her care for a long time.
