We hired Roxana to provide 24 hr hospice care for my Mom's final days. They were recommended by UCSF and it was clear they had worked together many times before. That integration between the UCSF Hospice team and the Roxana caregivers made coordination so much easier in a very stressful time. On my first call to Victor he explained their services, what they do and don't do and how they coordinate with the hospice team, especially the nurse. I felt very comfortable with going with them. They needed to have a team in place in 5 hours and they delivered. Each and every caregiver was fantastic. Very friendly and more importantly caring for my mother. Repositioning, changing, feeding, whatever she needed. Around the clock they were by her side (I was checking with a video camera). Very thankful to the Roxana team for making Mom's final days as comfortable as possible. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for hospice help. read more

Victor at Roxana Home Care is an absolute gem. He spent time to thoroughly explain the ins and outs of in-home services, and was a superb resource for us in a very stressful time. (Roxana is connected with Kaiser.) Victor helped us arrange in-home helpers for my mom as she recovered from a tough round of chemotherapy (not hospice care, as with the other reviews I see here). Roxana staff came to my mom's house daily for 5 days, in 5-8 hour shifts, when she needed help with simple meal prep, light sweeping and cleaning, and getting to and from medical appointments. I have been working with Roxanna for about 6 months: they care for a friend who is bed bound. All persons I have dealt with have been professional , caring and very helpful. Highly recommended. Everyone was caring, and professional. They were recommended by By the Bay Health (Hospice). They cared for my sister 24/7 during the last couple of months of her life. They kept in touch with me (I live 3000 miles away) so I knew how she was doing. My sister's time in hospice was made much easier with the 24/7 care from the Roxana staff. I live in Pennsylvania so knowing that she had reliable, caring professionals tending to her was a great comfort. Victor (in the office) was always available to answer questions or concerns and making sure things were done right. The caregivers were patient and did their best to keep her comfortable. They were so kind and helpful to me after her passing and helped me take care of so many things. These are truly incredible people that do exceptional work. They were very patient with me and were kind and reliable and well trained individuals. They helped me see through the end in hospice care. Angels. These people are angels. If you read through the other reviews, I could not agree more. It's all been said, so I'll keep it short. I literally was at the end of my rope. I couldn't pick up my Mom when she suddenly couldn't walk anymore. She was on Kaiser Hospice with terminal bone cancer (wow, also incredible people!) and they recommended Roxana. Victor was wonderful on the phone. Sensing I couldn't make another night, he managed to have a nurse at the house by 9:00 p.m. "Angel" Nurse Blanca and Roxana walked in that night and jumped into action, literally. Firing off instructions between the two, they immediately cleaned my Mom and got her comfortably into bed, fixed the room, etc. On a later day, I went to the store when they were putting in a catheter because they knew I didn't need to hear it. They know so much about taking care of the caregiver! When I got back, the entire living room was organized, clean, medicine logs, every single medicine organized. I couldn't believe how wonderful they were. Blanca literally never left my Mom's side. She called her "Princess" and stood for hours fanning Mom with a calendar b/c she was hot. She had to sleep over b/c she lived far away; she's a wonderful person. We didn't speak the same language (my fault) but it didn't matter at all. Universal sign language worked just fine. There's apps that translate the spoken word. They also worked with Kaiser Hospice which helped immensely. They were knowledgeable about Mom's meds and condition. Roxana was also amazing; dropping by. Explaining everything to me. Taking time to talk to me often. Just overseeing everything. This 'short' review isn't so short. I have a million other things I could describe about Nurse Blanca's amazing help but I'll stop. Unfortunately, it was only for five days. Mom passed and Blanca made sure we had our time alone with no one in the room. Just what is needed but you don't know these things at the time. Their experience is worth every penny. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Roxana and Miriam were exactly like angels from heaven. They enabled us to keep my brother at home while he was in the final stages of pancreatic cancer. They came in to the apartment and organized everything immediately. They created medication logs and made sure that we had everything we needed on site. They cared for my brother lovingly and with expertise that we did not have. They kept him comfortable and clean And supported us through the entire process. Roxana recognize the signs when he was in his final stages and was able to coach us through what we needed to do to ensure he had closure and felt safe to go. Their dedication and compassion helped my family get through this very dark time. Hospice was also great but they are not 24/7. If you're in a similar situation do yourself a favor and call Roxana. My husband made a valiant attempt to survive terminal kidney disease. His caregiver developed an infection and I was anxious as to what to do.
