Steve consulted with more than one concrete contractor in order to get the best price and quality. His estimate was easy to understand and his ideas were both sound and creative. Carlos, Victor, Marcos and Caesar were at our job site each morning and worked through heat temperatures of almost 100 degrees for four days. They arrived early and left in the late afternoon. Steve was on the job site every day. His watchful eye provided us with the confidence that things were being done correctly. Watching these guys work was like watching the work of artists and magicians. Despite the fact that our driveway was part of a common driveway used by four other homeowners, the staff as mindful of our neighbors' needs. All debris was removed each day. The exterior of the house was wrapped in plastic to minimize dust and prevent damage. Every deposit of wet cement was moved, by hand, in a carefully orchestrated fashion to ensure that the grade was correct, the surface was without flaw, and the surrounding landscape was not disturbed. Because our driveway had never been constructed properly, Steve made sure that there was more than adequate filling of sand, gravel, and the proper use of rebar reinforcement. In so doing, he noted that the walkway would not align with the raising of the driveway to its proper grade. He never pressured us for additional work that was obviously needed. He did make suggestions and gave options that included minimum cost with maximum result to re-do the walkway.The end result was anything but "minimum" in both appearance and quality !!! While there a are numerous Home Improvement Companies from which to choose, it is doubtful that any of them would have as courteous, competent and creative staff with whom to work. WE HAVE OTHER HOME IMPROVEMENT NEEDS AND, WHILE WE HAVE REPEATEDLY USED A FEW OTHER QUALITY COMPANIES, WE WILL NOT ONLY CONTINUE WORKING WITH STEVE AND STAFF, BUT WE HAVE RECOMMENDED HOMEFRONT INSIGHTS TO SEVERAL OF OUR FRIENDS. read more

We have used Homefront Insights for several jobs in our house over the past year or so and we will continue to call Steve for all our jobs in the future. You will not find a more conscientious contractor than Steve Jolles. Nor a company with better prices. The first work we had them do was repair work in our basement from flooding caused by a broken water pipe. The job included drywall, painting, all new tile flooring, and completely remodeling a full bathroom. The tile work in the bathroom and the whole basement floor was exceptional! The second job we used them for was replacing windows across the front of our house. The price of the windows was competitive and the work was done well. We also had Homefront Insights remodel two full bathrooms on the second floor. They gutted the bathrooms and redid them completely---even replacing one of the bathtubs with a beautiful glass enclosed shower . For this remodeling job Steve spent 31/2 hours with me at the Tile Shop helping me choose all of the wall, floor and decorative tiles for both bathrooms---making sure it was the right tile, that I got a fair price, etc etc. How many contractors would spend their Monday evening doing that? Any time we have questions or concerns, Steve comes right over to work it out and never gets defensive or blames anyone else---even when the concern or question was not his fault! Can't say enough regarding the communication and working with the owner (Steve). I found Homefront Insights through YELP simply because of the reviews. My office is 900 miles from a project we are working on there in Gaithersburg. The work he did for us was outside (for the city) and he stayed in touch with me very regularly during the project - even letting me know of any possible upcoming weather delays in order for me to update the city. Even during the "down time" we had waiting on some approval processes with the city Steve still reached out to me by phone or email to follow up to make sure nothing was waiting on him. Steve and his crew jumped right into the work as soon as the "approval" came in from the city. Before and After pics were sent and Steve and his guys were all over the work in order to make sure what was asked of them was done as asked. It was great to have no worries from 900 miles away. Talking with Steve you know right there he is on top of things. If something comes up out of the blue you will know about it asap. There was ZERO worries working with Steve. I work with hundreds of other subcontractors nationwide who we are constantly having to follow up on asking questions for literally everything to make sure things were done. Steve and his team have done multiple projects for us, we don't even ask anyone else for a quote. They are always professional, reasonable and do quality work. We had them come out to do a large amount of work; 2 upstairs bathroom remodels, interior and front door replacements, paint the entryway, dining room/living room and upstairs hallway. It was a long project, but it was also a lot of work. They are always flexible with working with our schedule. Any issues we have or questions get handled quickly. Our place looks so wonderful now, fresh and updated. The small master batch is the most amazing change. Steve's team essentially built a custom tile shower. Without making the bathroom itself bigger, it made our bathroom feel less cramped. The shower was extended, but the remodel simply opened up the space. It's so relaxing now! Even the basic reno of the hall bathroom makes it look like new. We are pleased with the cost, quality and results. We'll call Homefront Insights again if we need any more work done. read more

Steve Joelles and his team replaced the outer trim work on a window box on the front of our home. Steve was incredibly helpful when my husband first contacted him. He took the time to hear our issue even though he had a packed schedule. He sent us a professional quote with two options for repair. And when we agreed, he was able to come and do the work the next week. Because of an unexpected rain at the end of the job, they arranged to come back in the next day or two to finish the last coat of paint. The quality of work is exceptional! Great company. The paver-stone driveway they put in required creativity and is beautiful. We really appreciated the level of quality and detail.
