HOMEGOODS @ BELLEVUE This HomeGoods is right next to Trader Joe's, it can get pretty busy especially finding parking on the weekends, so be aware! The selection was great, they had all sorts of things from home decor, kitchen, bedding, really anything, all was good and decent pricing. I found a great deal of a set of knives for just $26, and it was a steal! Some things were even locked up which was surprising, like literally blankets or bed sheets were needed for assistance. The place itself was MESSY. There was boxes on the ground that workers were unloading (i'd assume they unload after people leave/before the store opens) but no they were doing it right in the middle of a section, pretty inconvenient and messy. There were also random carts full of stuff from workers that were left abandoned and took SO much space. Home goods is already small and squished, no need for random carts to be in the middle of things. Overall, the place still had good finds, there was a lot of people on a Saturday, so i'd recommend coming by on a weekday.

So much junk. I mean stuff.

Three stars for the crowded aisles. Like for real. Very narrow and claustrophobic. I know. I know. It's HomeGoods. They sell a ton of stuff! Basically a sort of fancy thrift store. There are good deals to be had here for sure. And the service was excellent. I had a gift certificate so here I am. I'm focused and looking particular items. Some throw pillows, a photo frame, and maybe a few bath items. The parking lot is next to Trader Joe's so be careful! Enjoy your life. SYOY.

Cutie cowboy skeleton outside front entrance almost bought but I don't need lol

Standard TJX store. Luckily this location never harasses me about signing up for the credit card lol. I always find something cute here or whatever was on my list. Very cramped store with tons of product to look at. Friendly cashiers and easy parking in the lot. I like the location of this store with it being so close to Trader Joe's and target!

One of these sets of kitchen towels came home with me

HomeGoods shares the same parent company of TJX as Marshall's and TJMaxx. This is handy to know as gift cards can be used across these 3 chains of stores. This HomeGoods is in a 2-stories mini-mall with REI and Trader Joe's. There are plenty of parking; the only tricky thing to learn is some of the exits are right turn only. Not a big deal. As the name implies, HomeGoods have home related goods. (Haha) They have daily use items - kitchen, bath, deco including wall art (want a Van Gogh knockoff?), area rugs, etc. They also have seasonal items - Halloween, Christmas, and the like. My favorite is their food department where there are international sourced items, especially Italian pastas, sauces, and olive oil. I don't come regularly just to wander because I'm afraid of what extra things I might bring home, usually from the food department. When I come looking for something straightforward, it's a very good chance that I'll find what I need/what. The most recent being kitchen hand towels (+ Italian chocolates and Italian pastas, yikes). Anyway, I definitely recommend trying a place like HomeGoods before going to full price retailers. Side note: According to a staff member, many of their older employees decided to retire instead of dealing with the unruly public due to COVID regulations. On a weekday, the store is thinly staffed until the part time high schoolers arrive to start their shift at 5pm. Expect a wait at the registers if you go before 5pm. And please be kind.

Can you see the stain that was worth treating a very good customer like a criminal and embarrassing me?

I'm still shocked from how I was treated at the Bellevue store last night. I'm an interior designer who spends at least 10,000 per year at HomeGoods. I just finished styling my latest design project and had 4 items to return, that were purchased at various HG locations. I had all the receipts and it was within the 30 day return policy. One of a items was a rug. One employee told me that they would need to look at the rug to make sure there was no damage. That seemed reasonable, but her tone make me little uncomfortable. Moments later another clerk came to the register and told me that she would not return it because there were stains on it. I told her that the rug had not been unrolled since I purchased it, and that it must have been stained when I purchased it. Frankly, it is hard to tell if a rug has a stain when it is hanging 10 feet in the air on their racks. I explained that I was a designer who does a lot of business with them and had no reason to lie about the condition of the rug. I asked if I could see what "stains" she was talking about. I walked over to the front of the store where she had it unrolled and had 3 other employees standing there examining the rug. The rug is a 100% wool rug with a gray and cream pattern, it did look like there was a few barely noticeable spots, that would have been impossible for me to see while it was hanging on the rack. I told her again that the rug had been rolled up in my house. It was my back up rug in case I didn't find the jute chenille rug that I landed up finding and using instead. She said well, I'm not returning it and taking a loss on it. I felt like a criminal! I had never been treated like I was a liar or trying to return something that I had damaged. I told her, that she would take a loss because I would never shop at the Bellevue HomeGoods again! Maybe she was having a bad day, maybe Covid is wearing on her, they were slammed, but last time I I checked, customers should not be treated like criminals. And if they are having issues with people using rugs, staining them and trying to return them, they need to come up with a better way to ensure that doesn't happen.

Always such a pleasure, Let's get into this Over the weekend we stepped in to pick up some goods for our apartment, although we did not find what we were looking for today they always have lots of great things here. The staff is very helpful The place is clean and organized They usually have some goods you can't find anywhere else There is something for everyone. They had some items here I would have love to have gotten but were not needed so we did not make a purchase today however don't let that stop you from coming to take a look. I do strongly recommend this place for what ever you may want. Have fun looking around COVID update, they are limiting the number of people entering and they are following all guidelines so be prepared to wait in a line and have your mask.

Lots of home goods as the name implies...

I'm surprised at some of the low ratings for this location as well as the content of the reviews. Not sure if most people realize that the merchandise that is at home goods, marshals, and TJ Maxx can be factory rejects or old stock that was not sold at regular retail. It's a discount store, people - expect some imperfections in the merchandise. You are not paying full retail. Anyways, end of rant. This location is a lot better organized compared to the Fed Way store. There's also a lot more selection (probably due to the higher median income of the area). I was greeted by quite a number of smiles from the employees and checkout was fast and easy. Plenty of parking. It's a little funky to get to because it's in the same complex as REI and Trader Joe's.

Chef Jen who was overseeing the course was informative and had a fun sense of humor as she walked us through the steps of preparing the whole chicken, assembling the salad, making the sauce, and cooking the rice. You are greeted with a drink before the class begins, and everything is prepared for you in advance. There are also kitchen assistants that assist with clean up and set up between major steps of the lesson. Once the major steps were done, we were given time to peruse the storefront and offered 20% off as we waited for the food to finish cooking and as the chef and kitchen assistants prepared the stations for dinner. The lessons aren't cheap, but I would do it again for the service, quality of the lesson, and the delicious food you get to eat afterwards. The owners are also very friendly and care about your experience. If you're looking for a fun activity to do with a friend, date, or family, I highly recommend giving the lessons here a try!

We were put on the waitlist after doing so but then got a text several days later saying two spots opened for us, so I snagged our seats as fast as I could. Really appreciate the staff on the other line for reaching out to me and "reserving" my spots unless I let them know I'm not interested! Getting here, there is the Meyden Garage that offers 3-hour free parking for customers of Whisk and other surrounding businesses though most spaces inside there did not have the signage saying that so it was confusing parking around there. Getting inside the building, you'll see what can only be described as a haven for chefs and aspiring cooks of all levels; you have cooking tools, pots and pans, cookbooks, plates, neatly folded cloth napkins and a bunch of other things strewn around in such a colorful and organized manner. The kitchen for our cooking class was clean and spacious, with all the ingredients we need prepped and set out in front of us. We worked in pairs prepping and cooking all our dishes throughout. Chef Thanh Tang was very informative and engaging throughout the whole process, and the other staff working with him were efficient in cleaning used utensils and keeping everyone's prepped items in check. Instructions were very clear, and directions flowed very well since we made one dumpling after another! Since both of us don't really cook and we had many questions to ask, it took us a bit to catch up with the rest of the class, but all the folding techniques became much easier to do thanks to our teacher. For this particular class, we pan-fried the shrimp and chive dumplings, while the wontons and steamed vegetable dumplings we prepped were steamed while we all took a break. As for the spicy green beans, I actually had the chance to stir-fry a non-spicy version of them in front of the class! All the food we made here was really good, and we came close to having to box some of it home too! Everything here was worth the $150 per person from the experience to the food, and I'd take another class here in the future! For reference, the class I took is called "More Dumplings, Dumpling?" and ran on a Saturday from 5:30-8:30pm though that's just a timeframe since I did stay slightly longer just to finish my food!

We ordered several pieces for a bathroom remodel over a month ago after an incredibly uninspiring visit to the show room where we felt like we were inconveniencing the staff by asking for help and guidance. We selected our elements and purchased them and were told it would be 3 to 5 weeks for some pieces to arrive which aligned with our renovation timeline. Now we are already past that time and we are told it will still be another three weeks for the final elements to arrive in their warehouse, let alone get to our home. I was forced to purchase some pieces elsewhere (which will be at my home less than 8 business days after ordering and now that I did so the delayed pieces havw mysteriously shipped incurring a 25 percent restocking fee. If you have absolutely no other option then definitely work with anyone there except Kim Stranger and certainly take nothing she says as the truth. This confirms the issue: no one is taking ownership. I am still requesting supervisor escalation, guaranteed delivery with the correct crew, replacement of the damaged headboard, and meaningful compensation for the repeated failed deliveries, damaged item, lost time, and inconvenience Original review: 1/5 -- Extremely disappointing experience with Crate & Barrel. We purchased a bed and dresser for around $6,000 from Crate & Barrel on May 25, expecting a premium product and smooth delivery experience. The problems started in the store. We were encouraged to apply for a Crate & Barrel store card for financing and were told it would commonly support a much higher financing amount. We applied, received only a $1,000 limit, and were told to accept it and that the issue would be corrected later. It was not corrected, but the application still affected my credit score. Then came the delivery issues. Our delivery was scheduled for June 3. The team brought in part of the bed, opened the headboard, and found a large crack. They said it had to be returned. We asked them to at least bring in the dresser, but they said they only had two people and it was too heavy. Customer service did not take meaningful ownership. We explained that we had guests coming for a housewarming and needed the bedroom completed urgently, but we were told nothing could be done and had to wait another week. On June 10, the rescheduled delivery failed again. The driver called and said they did not have enough people to bring the furniture in, canceled the delivery, and then stopped answering calls. We paid premium pricing, lost multiple days waiting at home, received damaged furniture, and still do not have the furniture delivered. Our bedroom is unusable right before guests arrive. This has been the worst shopping and delivery experience we have had at this price level. Crate & Barrel needs to take responsibility, deliver with the correct crew, and provide real compensation for the failed deliveries, damaged item, and wasted time.
