It's like the antique mall in Fairfield but all products are all locally hand made. I wasn't expecting much but I did. They have everything from clothes, jewelry, kitchen, pets, novelties, sports, candles, toiletries, home decor, apparel, art work, desserts, drink mixers, gifts and more. There are so much in this facility that you cannot classify. I was not expecting to spend 2 hours, but we did. I purchased alot of unique items. However $40 for 1 piece of clothing is not cheap. Went in to return, exchange something so I can be able to actually get my money worth and was told by the girl there that because the tag was off she couldn't do a refund. Now I understand you have policies, but if I cannot wear the clothing more than once than that sounds like a defect on your part and not mine. Over the years, I've shopped in 5 or more different Stein Mart locations and I most usually walk out the door with something good and sometimes, something great. I've been to the stores for homes and the clothing stores and the discount stores and no other store has the combination of items like Stein Mart. I can count housewares, bedding, clothes, and snacks among my regular purchases. Part of what makes the stores so good is that they mix discounted name brand products with cheaper but still desirable products at similar prices. When you go to other stores, they try to sell you cheap products with inflated prices that were never worth what they wanted, so that they can sell you on the discount. Then, there are places like Target that have reasonable prices and places like Kohl's that offer massive discounts to shoppers with their card. Stein Mart offers sales from time to time, but their regular prices are good. I wish all stores had me in mind.

I shopped in the sale racks of this store as that was still higher than I would pay in a thrift store. I found a pair of shorts I liked and brought them home but sadly I did not notice there was a missing button on them until I got home, I paid $10 for them. My bad for not looking closely enough. I did leave from this location on the Snooty Fox bus tour. This was definitely a fun event and I went with a group of gals I know. I will do it again when they do it next year. The bus took us to four other Snooty Fox locations and also at this first stop here we had mini donuts and mimosas to start the day. They had some home decor items in this store as well. Not really in the market for any home decor. Usually don't shop here but I had a fun day looking in all the locations we went to.

When I think about the shops themselves, and it's not all that exciting, but they do offer a lot including two jewelry stores, a toy store, GNC, the Snooty Fox (clothing and accessories) and Snooty Fox Furniture Den, Widmer's Dry Cleaners, a chiropractor, a shoe repair place, an art gallery, a kitchenware store, and best of all Blockbuster Video. The restaurants really anchor the Shops at Harper's Point, with Dewey's Pizza and Johnny Chan 2 Chinese Restaurant leading the way. Dewey's is really great and is one of their larger locations, Johnny Chan 2 is a high-quality Chinese restaurant, while there is also the fairly good deSha's American Tavern, the Servatii Pastry Shop & Deli, and some fresh eatin' at Subway. Overall, I've never thought the Shops at Harper's Point to be that great, but they have a lot of retail and service shops, and the restaurants and Blockbuster are really good. Plus, it's right next to Kroger, so you can't go that wrong at Harper's Point.

One found me a shoe in a size that wasn't even on the floor, another brought a different size to the dressing room, and a third suggested a better way to complete my transaction! Now keep in mind the stuff here is brand name and higher end than, say, a Marshalls, but I still found a ton of good deals. I saw higher end brands like Tory Burch, Birkenstock, Democracy, and more. I got a $200 free people dress for $35! It's now definitely worth checking out and could be dangerous... I got so much stuff!

Staff was made to stand at the entrance to welcome the customers super sweet. So for people who have been to NR it's definitely a couple of notches above TJ Max but the model is similar. So there is section for male, female, kids clothing and shoes. They also have a home section along with jewelry, make up, perfume, sunglasses and handbags. Lots for everyone. This particular one has lots of parking and very centrally located. Prices are fair to the brands they offer. Oh I forgot they also have some snacks right near the check out. I feel like the overall quality of the products compared to their higher end Gap and Banana Republic brands has declined, while the price point has not. Despite this I still check in sometimes. I came on this particular day to check for what their St Patricks day goodies were this year. They have always had a strong St Pats game. I walked around and while the store was clean, it was only sort of organized. It seemed like everything was packed in quite tightly as I knocked things off racks several times. Sadly, I found there was just a few shelves near the cash register with St Pats stuff. I got excited as their was a sign saying they had a $5 special on the shirts (shirts and baby stuff was all they had). When I got to to the cash register I was told the shirt was actually just 30% off not $5. As this wasn't that great a deal I decided to abandon ship. I think after this visit I will continue to stick with Gap or Banana... especially at the Outlet Mall or Hebron Clearance center.
