My first time visiting this store in Washington State on Friday afternoon, 11-03-23. As I entered, noticed a whole lot of Christmas decorations right near the entrance. Saw a lot of the usual amount of Christmas Tree ornaments, Santa Claus statuesque figures, Snow Globes, Gnomes, Reindeers, Wreaths, Garlands, etc. Also noticed many home decoration items such as picture frames, candles, vases, things for the kitchen, bathroom novelties, bedroom stuff and many more. I'm glad that the store opened in Tukwila. Today was the day of the grand opening and the store was very crowded. And at the entrance, they will be given a large free HomeGoods bags, so do not forget to get it!!! Maybe the bags are limited. Everyone is happy and crazy, so be careful not to bump each other when shopping. It's impossible to keep a distance of 6 feet if you have a cart. There is a sign in the store for the direction of the aisle, but most people don't see it. Please be careful not to hit each other. The cash register line is quite long, but other than that, it was smooth. I think it's just opened this week and it's crowded, bur I will come again. read more

I come to this Home Goods quite often and usually get good customer service, but today was not the case! I walked up to the cashier...literally no greeting from her at all!!! She waits for me to respond. I tell her I would like to return these holiday dish towels and buy the sink strainers. I said I didn't have my receipt with me and if I could get store credit to buy my items. She said, "No" because it's passed the 30 days after Xmas for returns! I said, "It's the 16th today!" She thinks for a minute and says she can give me store credit, but she can't exchange the items for me. I said fine and to give me the store credit and I'll turn around and use it to buy my new items! So she does that... I proceeded to tell her that she needs to greet her next customers with better customer service! read more

My first time in, loved the store. Now I will never go back. I bought a birthday gift for my sister in law then I added a $50 gift card for her. I thought I had put it in my bag but when I got home it wasn't in my bag. I went in to the store to see if they could cancel the card and re-issue me a new one. I gave him the reciept for it. The manager said he would look into it and call me in 3-4 days. I called him 7 days later and he said, "I know, I said I would call you, we're still looking in to it". On day 9, I called again and the manager said, "Oh I was just going to call you! We looked at the camera and you put it in your bag". I said that I already told him that but it wasn't there when I got home. He proceeded to tell me that even though they could tell that the gift card had not been used, they would not cancel it and re-issue me a new one. I told him, "I thought that was what the receipt was for!!!!" He said, "sorry, it's like cash". What the heck? Next time I'll just give her cash. My daughter is getting married and I'm broke. So I guess my sister in law won't get a birthday gift. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! This is the first bad review of anything I have ever written in my life! read more

Good selection but awkward customer service. Was shopping with my daughter and one of the workers stopped and stared. Thought it might have been a fluke, but eventually went around and her cart was blocking the aisle and we couldn't get through. I said "we are going to move this ok?" She looked at me and continued working. Then when checking out my mom had a question about a product and the lady was about to right off my mom's request until I said "can someone help her find it?" just a little off. Great customer service! The associates were very helpful when I needed to find a specific item. I thought I was overcharged on an item, so I called the next day and spoke to a Manager named Shanna. She was very polite and understanding and asked me to come back with my receipt and she will personally take care of my situation. It turned out I actually bought an extra one by mistake. When I called back to speak to Shanna, she wasn't upset at all not like some of the other places I've noticed when customers have an issue. Great Manager and wonderful staff at the Tukwila location. I will definitely be back even though the nearest Homegoods is 10 min away vs 25 min away. read more

had terrible experience returning something. i came in with an emailed receipt to return something and the cashier maria didn't seem to know what to do with it even though i had everything ready. refund finally gets started and is in the works of being finished, when she reaches over to press print only for the receipt without asking how i wanted to get the receipt. i wanted it to be email only and there was no way to get an emailed receipt after it finished. she called over someone who either was working here longer or a manager i think juanita, doesn't explain the situation nor how she was the one who pressed the button not me, so juanita assumed it was me who had pushed the button and wasn't able to help me get an email receipt. it would have been a different experience if i had actually asked for it printed and needed the assistance or cashier actually had decency to ask how i wanted my receipt. read more
