The store is fully packed for Christmas! Every person working there was very nice. The store was packed! We went in for one thing, hangers and walked out with $333.00 worth of merchandise. You know the cute green and red paper you wrap your gifts in the boxes with ? Well this store has all sorts of Christmas paper with designs like you'd get if you used those scissors on them with the different cuts. They have Christmas trees on some and on others Santa Claus . We couldn't decide so we got them all. They had a case of old Disney characters and marked them down to $39.99. I did not get any because my daughter was with me and I wanted one for her. I think what I like most about HomeGoods is they give you many, many different choices of items to buy. We bought a bunch of games for our family to play on Christmas Day. Then they had a Christmas scavenger hunt which I bought for my Sunday School kids to have a Christmas party with. They have kitchenware, glassware, pet supplies and gifts, furniture, food, gift baskets, clothes, beddings and they are all marked down. They also have hangers and hampers, plants, games, silverware, this store has it all. One stop shopping. We finally said that we came in for one item and we needed to leave. Lily checked us out. She was so fast! She smiled and welcomed us. Asked if we wanted a charge card and then started ringing us up and talking to us about pleasantries the whole time. I bought a rice cooker for this location that was completely nonfunctional. I came back with my receipt, expecting a straightforward return -- you know, the kind any reasonable store handles in five minutes. Instead, I was subjected to a lesson in corporate logic so baffling it deserves its own case study. A 'coordinator' named Mirna informed me that my return was problematic because the item had been used. Yes. I used the rice cooker. To find out it didn't work. That is, in fact, the only way one would discover a rice cooker doesn't work. Mirna's concern? She couldn't put a used item back on the floor. Here's a thought, Mirna: you also shouldn't put a BROKEN item back on the floor. The problem isn't that I used it -- the problem is that it doesn't function. Those are two very different things, and the distinction matters. After this lecture, she graciously announced she would make a 'one time exception' and accept my return. An exception. For a defective product. Returned with a receipt. The audacity of being made to feel like a charity case for returning merchandise that simply does not work is something I won't forget. In my opinion this specific location truly has the nicest layout and selection of different items than all the other Home Goods locations in the San Fernando Valley. The store is clean and very well organized. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I love driving the extra distance just for the better experience. I come in here when I need that one kitchen gadget that I can't seem to find anywhere else. Plus it's always under $5 which is a steal. They have a wide variety of all the home goodie's you are looking for. Prices are similar to their sister stores Marshall's and TJMaxx. Always a fun shopping adventure to go to HomeGoods. We were out in the Santa Clarita / Valencia area over the weekend and I was on the hunt for a lamp shade. I knew that I'd find other items, too. That turned out to be the case. Got a lamp shade, which unfortunately doesn't quite fit the lamp for which I was searching. It may still have a home with another lamp, or I can return it with minimal hassle. I did also get some of the coffee flavoring syrup we enjoy, plus some lower sugar dark snacking chocolate. Their gourmet foods section has lots of intriguing options. Spices, especially, are well priced in larger containers than you typically find at the grocery stores. If you need decorative pillows, this store has them in abundance! There are multiple rows dedicated to those fluffy accessories. The layout of this location is very different from the Simi Valley or Thousand Oaks stores, so I wasn't readily finding the departments the way I'm used to, but all the better for browsing. A clean ladies room came in handy after being on the road for an hour to get there after lunch in a remote area. The main reason for deducting a star was that they had only one checkout stand open. That's not normally the case at any HomeGoods, as their cashiers are usually plentiful and very friendly. Interestingly, we'd just been at a dinner gathering with friends. It came up that several of the women buy dimensional greetings cards at HomeGoods. Another friend said that she wasn't aware they had anything of the sort. The Valencia store has their stationery supplies, including greeting cards, gift bags, wrapping paper, and more in a featured section right now. It's front and center. Photo proof included. I came in today to return a comforter set that I had recently got. When I first got it I noticed a few stains and tried to wash them out, unfortunately I did not realize that I could not wash then return something which was made very clear to me later on. I went up to return it and the lady looks met dead in the eyes with a very rude tone and says "this had been washed" probably just because it was wet from the rain. I say "it's wet because it's raining" she then feels around the package and again says "this is clearly washed" again very rude so I admit and just asked if there is anything she can do and she says no which I understand. What I do not get is the attitude this bored housewife has. Even the past times I've been here she has always been very rude for no reason. Again, it is my fault for not realizing that you can not wash something and return it but it is that unmannerly lady's fault for having an attitude a simple "Unfortunately since this had been washed we can not take it back and sell it to others." would've have done. Again my fault for not realizing that you cannot return something washed, but what if I simply just took out of the package decided I didn't like it and it got wet front the rain while I was outside. I went there on Tuesday, May 13 11:36 AM. I felt that some of the prices were a bit high, but when I went to pay, it took literally 25 minutes to get to a cashier and there was only four people ahead of me. By the time I got to the cashier I was irritated she sensed that and she asked me "how are you today" in a very phony manner I didn't respond because I didn't want to complain. I paid. She took the receipt and literally threw it on the counter in front of me didn't say thank you didn't say have a nice day. Nothing I got mad and I told her she needs to hand it to me and then I proceeded to tell her that it was the worst cashier I've seen in a long time. her only response was to laugh at me. Buyer's Beware - Home Goods in Valencia I am making public a recent experience I had at the HomeGoods store in Valencia. I am sharing it to make others aware of the pick pocketing going on at that store. I have always loved that store and was so disappointed with what recently occurred. I was shopping in HomeGoods in Valencia on 2/21/25. I was pick pocketed. I had my wallet when I went into the store and when I left I had no wallet. I made a police report and when the sheriff came to take the report, he said there were 3 other people who were pick pocketed that very SAME day at HomeGoods. He mentioned that store is notorious for this crime and they do not seem too concerned about trying to stop it. If I was HomeGoods I would definitely want to make sure the shopping experience is pleasant and safe for its customers. Either a security guard at the front door or a sign as you enter that indicates to hold onto your valuables would make a difference. I spoke to two HomeGoods representatives and they were understanding and listened but they did not feel there was anything they could do. They are not taking responsibility. The management should look into this more and come up with a strategy to help, have better camera surveillance, and stop this as much as possible from happening to their customers. I do not think they are being upfront and fair to their customers which is a real shame. Buyer's Beware to all who frequent that store !! read more

When I need new stuff for the casa this is the place I go first. Last night I happened to be next door getting a hair cut and thought I should pop in. My wife had said we needed some new wine glasses because they tend to get broken, probably through overuse.... ;) So I knew where to go because I have been there before and the store is not that big. There was a whole aisle of glassware and many different wine glasses. I went through and weighed the options and opted for a pack of four stemless 20 oz (not big enough...lol) glass set. They were thicker than the ones we have been using which is good because when I stuck my big hand in those I tend to make them explode. Workers are not enforcing the mask policy for shoppers who are choosing to not wear a mask in the store. Watched multiple employees chit chat with the sans mask shopper without ever asking them to please put one on. Seems pointless to have a door counter and signs everywhere saying you must need a mask and zero interest in enforcement. I love Home Goods! Great to find pieces for your home or to gift to others. There are plenty of items that are trendy, beautiful, cute or useful all at a fraction of regular retail prices, amazing! Even if I don't need anything, I find myself stopping in frequently just to peruse and by peruse, that means stuffing my cart with items after a good 30 minutes of 'just looking' then bargaining with myself if I 'really' need everything in my cart OR 'REALLY' need everything in my cart. Most of the time logic doesn't win and my wallet takes a tiny beat down. Anyway, the store itself is pretty organized and allows you to weave in and out of the aisles. Their dining section always gets me right when I walk in, so many cute mugs, dishes, cake stands, I can't get enough! They also have cute picture frames, fake floral arrangements, blankets, pillows, cheese domes, and hit or miss pieces of trendy furniture! Parking is easy for the most part and customer lines move rather quickly. After becoming a home owner, Home Goods is one of my favorite places to shop and definitely a guilty pleasure :) read more

The selection of artificial plants was huge but not as nice as in the past. Wondering if they are using new vendors. Samantha helped me on the floor as well as at the register. This is to the employee Ruth and what seems to be her manager or supervisor, I was standing there waiting to be helped and was over looked by both of them and then they helped a customer that was behind me in line. I'm very upset to how I was not attended to! I guess they don't care about their customer service at this store! I will not come here anymore to shop! How can you not like Home Goods? They always have trendy and cool decor items and you always end up wanting to buy more than what you intended to. This place is located 2 stores away from TJ Maxx. Sometimes, the two are combined but here they are separated so the entire space is dedicated to home decor only! I came here for coat hangers, kitchen organizing products and laundry/bathroom accessories. Overall, prices are very fair and you can find a ton of cute decorative home items here. 50 coat hangers were $50 bucks here but the same ones can be found for $14 at Walmart. So, there are definitely items that are better here but others that may be cheaper or equal elsewhere. Their home furniture is very cute and trendy. I saw a bamboo bar cart, natural wood coat rack, and tons of bar and counter stool options. Right now, with COVID, there may be a line outside. The last time I checked, they did indeed have those cute hanging boho cat/dog beds that you see on TikTok. So, if your furry pet is trying to get on that chic "Tik Tok made me do it" trend, check-out this place. read more

I used to like coming to this store because I could typically find something special. However, my experience today was quite a deterrent. While standing in the checkout line, the woman behind me was not wearing a mask. I was 2 customers away from the cashier, so when it was my turn, I asked the cashier about their policy, and she said that they don't have an indoor mask mandate. She said that her managers reprimanded them for asking customers to wear their masks. She also reported that there's no mandate in her county to wear a mask. The California mandate will be lifted on 2/15/22 for vaccinated individuals, so I'm not sure where she's getting her misinformation from. Very disappointed that HomeGoods is not taking people's health and this pandemic more seriously! read more

I wanted to inform you of the worse customer experience at your Valencia location. I browsed through your clearance aisle and found a scented soap that was marked down to $2. I placed it in the cart and bought some other items. I was being rung up by your associate Zoe when she informed me that the price was wrong because it had another price under neath it that indicated it was more. I told her if it was going to be more not to worry about it because it wasn't worth it since the soap cover was open and the scent wasn't strong anyways. She then proceeded to walk away and go look up the price, chat with some other associate, then relabeled it as I waited for at least 4 minutes waiting for her return. I had a 2 yrs old that got figgity and a 7 yrs old that wanted to leave. As she came back she informed me that it was more. I told her in an irritated voice that I didn't want the product if it was going to be more and why she wasted my time to tell me that twice! I also mentioned that usually in retail you have to honor the price that's marked. How was it my mistake that it was priced wrong??! Then she explained to me it's store policy to ring up what's coming up in the system and then offhanded mention that sometimes customers like to peel off the stickers to get a better price! I was appalled by that remark! As if I really wanted to steal a damn $1!! Seriously?? I'm offended that she would accuse or insinuate to myself and any patrons that walk in that they would be trying to rip off Homegoods! She was so rude! I can't believe she said that!
