I'm writing this review to share our experience with Azores so other homeowners can make an…read moreinformed decision. We hired Azores for two bathroom remodels. While the tile work turned out nicely, our overall experience raised serious concerns about their knowledge of basic construction, plumbing, and building-code requirements. The plumbing work was particularly concerning. Two drains were installed using flexible accordion tubing and improper trap configurations. When we raised our concerns, the contractor admitted they sometimes improperly install drains, stating that "usually no one cares." They first proposed fixing the issue with an S-trap, which is also not to code. These issues should have been addressed during planning , especially since the vanity cabinet was one of the first items we ordered through them. The framing work was another major concern. Azores agreed to install recessed mirrors and shampoo niches but planned to cut through existing wall studs without properly addressing the structural framing. The contractor told us that "usually people don't care about their studs being cut" and admitted they did not know there were building codes for this type of work. We ultimately had to properly frame two of the recessed mirrors ourselves because we were not comfortable with their approach. Most disappointing was their response. Rather than taking responsibility for these issues, Azores is charging us additional money to correct problems resulting from their own planning and workmanship. A nice tile finish does not make up for inadequate plumbing, framing, and code knowledge. We recommend that homeowners carefully evaluate Azores' trade expertise before hiring them.

I…read morehad a mediocre experience with our upstairs bathroom remodel and wanted to do it right this time. I saw Daniel and his company, TruBlue of Allen, got great reviews everywhere I looked so I reached out. He agreed to meet me the next day and came and always had a smile on his face and a "can-do" attitude. He showed confidence and I could tell he has done this many times. We agreed on his very reasonable estimate and the project began! I wanted to completely remove our existing shower and tub and make the tub are our new shower and the previous shower would become a an area for storage. He showed up to help me get tile and we got a great mix of tiles for our bathroom and we couldn't be happier! Fernando helped with all the tiling and a separate group of guys helped with the finishings and drywalls. Daniel's plumber is fantastic and you can tell that all these workers pay attention to detail and have worked in nice homes and do great work. This was so different than my previous experience which was mediocre. As the project finished, we were just so happy and I don't think you could get a better result in the very reasonable price range that Daniel offers. Nothing but great things to say about our experience. As with all things, stay in communication and make sure you are talking to the day-to-day workers as well as Daniel. His son David helped out as well and was helpful and informative and did great work while he was onsite. I can't remember the painter's name but he did a good job too and was always friendly. I love walking into our new kitchen and new master bathroom - both complete gut jobs with remarkable befores and afters! I will definitely use again when we're ready to remodel a guest bathroom and have and will continue to recommend him to anyone who asks!

The following is a review of the contractor's (Bath Masters of Collin County) work from the…read morehomeowner's perspective and is the homeowner's/customer's opinion. Homeowner observations: Breach of contract by contractor (see list of contract violations at bottom of review). Horrible project management (contractor relied on homeowner to report issues rather than understand issues from inspecting and talking with subs, contractor visited project site infrequently). Multiple times contractor communicated with homeowner that contractor would visit project site the following day, but would not show up. Poor communication (with customer and subcontractors). Homeowner had to act as project manager because the subcontractors did not understand the work they were supposed to perform (contractor did not inform subs of work to be performed). Poor communication resulted in re-work to correct errors in the work product. Contractor's words often did not match contractor's actions. Generally unprofessional conduct from contractor. Project completion delayed far beyond any reasonable timeframe (and project is still far from complete). Customer was a low priority (contractor did not put all hands on deck, or call in extra resources, as the project dragged on past the contract completion deadline). Contractor did not comply with written contract terms - multiple contract violations (see below). Written contract specified project completion in 3 weeks from starting demolition. Project is currently in week 8, is far from completion, and contractor has provided no schedule for completion. Homeowner had to live in a construction zone for the duration of the project without access to toilets and shower. Project completion delays caused hardships on customer. Customer did not cause project delays. Homeowner did not change the project specifications - homeowner stuck with the contract specifications (made no changes to materials selections and made no changes to contract deliverables). Homeowner always communicated back same day regarding any/all questions from contractor. Homeowner made home available for project work by contractor and subcontractors to the contractor. Homeowner submitted payments in timely manner (per milestones as specified in the contract). Interim project metrics (these metrics are project-to-date as the project is still not complete). Project completion deadline (Days to complete project per the signed contract): three weeks from start of demolition - project completion in 21 days. Percent of work completed by the date of contract completion deadline (3 week deadline): 11% Actual days from contract signing to project completion: Undetermined, since project is far from complete. Project is at 98 days (3.5 months) from contract signing and still counting (since project is far from complete). 12 times the contractor or contractor's workers communicated that work would be performed the following day, but no work was performed the following day (lack of credible project management). 34 days (more than one month) without functioning master bath toilet. 12 days without functioning guest bathroom toilet. 52 consecutive days without a functioning master bath shower (and project is still far from complete). Breach of contract - multiple contract violations: Late project completion (past three weeks due date as specified in contract). Contract specified that "all plumbing to be performed by a licensed master plumber". Contractor has violated this in five (5) instances thus far by using a non-plumber (with no license) to perform plumbing work. One of those instances resulted in a water leak onto flooring. Contract called for contractor to "remove trash daily". Contractor has violated this multiple times, the longest of which was trash on site and not picked up for more than one week. Based on homeowner's experience with contractor, homeowner does not recommend this contractor. This review is an interim review as the project is still not complete. Homeowner will make a final review when the project is complete.

I wish I could speak to the quality of this contractor's construction or craftsmanship, but…read moreunfortunately -- or fortunately for us -- the project never reached that stage. After four weeks of discussions, revisions, and verbal agreements for a master bathroom remodel, Tim backed out of signing the contract at the very last minute. He provided no explanation, ignored two follow up emails requesting clarity, and ultimately ghosted us entirely. This behavior reflects directly on his professionalism, honesty, and integrity. In hindsight, there were early warning signs: repeated pressure to sign his contract before we had adequate time to review it, and a general impatience with ensuring all of our requirements were properly addressed. Despite this, we worked through the details and reached a verbal agreement, only for him to walk away when asked whether a digital signature would suffice or if he preferred a wet signature. With the amount of competition in this industry, professionalism, honesty and integrity matter. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend -- and will never endorse -- a contractor who fails to honor commitments and lacks these basic characteristics.

From the very beginning they rush you, make you sign something to only work with them (sketchy, red flag) and then they do mediocre work. They're going to take advantage of you and your home when you're in an emergency type situation. As immoral as they come. They messed up my bathroom tile, then made me feel bad when I asked them to do it right. As if I was asking too much when they didn't do it right in the first place? They also installed a random circular silver drain in the shower, when I asked for and ordered a square gold drain. Hello? The owner, Michael, simply chalked it up to "hiring workers that don't speak English." If that doesn't tell you all you need to know... The attention to detail and doing a decent, not even good, job is just not there. They didn't finish caulking behind the toilet or on top of the counter. They scratched the paint off of 3 doors, and refused to compensate or correct. They got dirt all over the walls and even got paint on my front door and hallway tile. They littered cigarette butts and a giant sponge (???) in my front yard. They left an entire garbage can of trash in my front yard. They even messed up my garage door, when that is an area of the house they were NOT authorized to do ANY work in. Who knows where else they were messing around while I wasn't home? When I asked them to remove the master toilet, I specifically and repeatedly asked them to cover the hole in the ground. When I arrived home two days later, I walked in to find the sewage hole completely gaping open, releasing toxic sewage fumes into my home and bedroom. Unbelievably thoughtless, careless, and downright hazardous/dangerous. They started trying to charge us hundreds of dollars at the end for things we already discussed, and then when we tried to talk to the owner, he basically said he'd just hand us over to his lawyer. He knows he is taking advantage of us, so he didn't want to discuss the money details with us. You can see in the attached videos/photos that they also threaten to take legal action against us, should we post an honest review. They don't have any basis to do so, but just want to scare customers into silence. That's why they don't have any other bad reviews on here. It's too late for me, but please, save yourself. He took out the cheap materials the other tile contractor was attempting to get past us (and would have if we hadn't found Chad) and replaced everything with quality materials and extra steps to make sure we didn't have problems with the shower in the future. We couldn't be more satisfied. He helped us with decisions and made the new custom shower look beautiful. Never a mess, never a problem, never a worry. He did a great job at a reasonable rate and we highly recommend him if you need any tile work done. We are about to remodel another master bathroom in our other home and we won't look for anyone else. Chad Weaver is the guy to call!
