We purchased what we thought was going to be a great sectional couch. about a month or two after the delivery the couch started to fray. I thought maybe it was just because it was new and it got worse and worse. I reached out to the store and was told that I needed to contact the extended warranty guardsmen after sending multiple pictures to guardsmen they are response about a month later was it was poor quality by the manufacturer, well that was in progress, the store had agreed to order cushion replacements. OK that's great but what are you gonna do about the back of the couch? after months of not hearing anything I get a phone call that the cushion covers are now in and they wanted to pick the couch up and take it to the store to repair the cushions. The phone call came from a new person who stated she wasn't aware of any of this whole situation. Upon explaining it to her, she seemed to understand. I sent her pictures of what the couch was doing and I received a phone call a day or two later stating that they they would be reupholstering the whole couch in a few weeks. Two days after that call came in the lady that I had spoke to and sent an email to called me to inform me that I had a couple options to choose from one as they would just do the cushions and that would be at no cost to me and the other was to reupholster the whole thing and that would be a charge of $399.-$141 for the extended warranty. So after all this and the couch being poor quality, they wanted me to pay $259 to get the couch repaired. I told him I can go buy another couch and not have to worry about poor quality. I will never shop at HomePlus and would not recommend it to anybody as they are not concerned about the quality of products that they sell. read more

I was looking for some new furniture and had seen the commercials for HomePlus and figured why not. We walked in and was greeted by several salespersons which was great. So I am talking with my daughter and here he comes I am thinking "oh boy" all the sales pitches and being pushed into something and being followed" So you are not able to make a decision without one of them constantly asking you something, just let me take my time and look. That's when Matt Donaldson came over asked me just a few questions to see what I was looking for and said we have some great discounts going on this weekend and I will let you look and if you have any questions just come get me and I will help you. He also askEd me if I wanted anything to drink soda water and he headed back to whatever it was he was doing. I really appreciated that. Once I had made a selection of what I wanted he went over everything told me of all the discount specials going and then some with a lot knowledge of everything I needed to know about the furniture I was purchasing. Itake great not a long period of time f delivery and for $50 they will dispose of the old stuff. I know I will definitely be going back for some other items I nned. Matt was very kind and courteous and I hope when I return I will have the pleasure of working with him again. Today (Feb. 23, 2023) a loveseat sleeper was delivered to us from HomePlus in Binghamton. Here's a shout-out to Leo and Paul who made the delivery. They handled the loveseat with great care as well as a sofa that needed to be moved to another location in order to place the new sofa where the old one had been. Joel Husch was our salesman when we made the purchase at HomePlus earlier this month. He did a great job in helping us order the perfect piece for our needs. This was our first purchase from HomePlus, but it likely will NOT be our last one, as we were treated so well and given a good price compared with other furniture outlets in the area. We would definitely recommend this store to others, and specifically give special kudos to Joel, Leo, and Paul. In fact, one or two others at HomePlus took the time to assist with our purchase decision, but we don't have their names or we'd commend them as well. Best wishes and thanks for a great job! P.S. I purchased a couch and a loveseat from homePlus.The day it arrived, the loveseat fit perfectly. However, the couch would not even fit on the elevator so it had to go back. I spoke with my sales associate Jeremy and we decided on a 2nd loveseat which was delivered the following week. I love the furniture, the way it looks, sits and feels, very satisfied. The men who delivered the first time were Paul and Ryan. They could not do enough to help. Very, very good delivery men. The 2nd delivery was the same . The two men Paul and Leo were equally as good. All of the men were extremely polite and helpful. Setting up the delivery was another story. If I had to go through that each time, I would not make any more purchases at homePlus. It eventually got corrected, but should not have taken the time to do it. Also I had a credit after purchasing the 2nd loveseat. I purchased two lamps to use the in house credit only and once I had picked them out, asked if I could take them with me and was told I could. However, my salesperson didn't go and get them. I went to Homeplus to take advantage of a promotion. When I got there the staff had no idea about the promotion and couldn't answer any of my questions. They contacted a manager to get some information and the manager was supposed to call me back. 2 days and no return call. I stopped there instead only to talk to the person who was supposed to return my call, not even an apology from him, also the other staff person I talked to never put my order in. I was required to pay another $149 for delivery and set-up and was told it would be in their store in 1 week. 1 week passed and again no call as to delivery. I called and was told by the person who answered the phone that if they didn't call they didn't have it. A few days later I checked in again and had to leave a message. No return call until several hours later only to be told the order would be delivered the next day. No proper notice whatsoever and rudeness from the assistant manager. Stopped by to confirm delivery and the assistant manager was gone, again got a nasty attitude from the person at the store. Worst experience I've ever had. Poor customer service equals a non-returning customer. I would not recommend and won't return read more

We are recurrent customers at HomePlus but here is how our latest experience transpired: From the second we walked through the door we were taken care of by John, who was super helpful and caring making sure we found what met our needs best instead of selling what he could sell. Ben in customer service took care of us while checking out. He was amazing! Super helpful and informative. Then finally the delivery guys, Brandon and Leo, were professional and kind and even dealt with us after having to change our delivery date (twice) AND me not being home when they came early to deliver (miscommunication is all). They were very patient, considerate and polite when delivering into my tiny apartment. They set everything up for us and made sure we were satisfied before they left. We had a great experience with HomePlus in Binghamton NY. We visited the showroom to look for a new bed and could not find exactly what we were looking for in stock. However, Kevin Mack helped us find the perfect bed that was exactly what we had in mind from the Ashley Catalog. He gave us a great package deal with delivery, set-up, and removal of the old bed, and even took another single that we were looking to get rid of as well! The order took two weeks, but the delivery was only one day after that expected timeline of the bed being on hand at the outlet. The delivery was today, and we had no issues whatsoever. Paul and Romeo (I believe), did a fantastic job with set-up, did not make any kind of mess and were super-fast and friendly in getting the job done. I just redecorated my livingroom. So I went in to HomePlus to see if they had some furniture that would help in my new decor. Well, I was greeted by Jeremy what a great guy and exsteamly helpful. He helped me find a loveseat and recliner that are perfect! We ordered it and it was delivered to my home by two great guys that were very careful and moved my new rug back so they didn't take a chance of stepping on it with something on there shoes thank you Joe and Ryan for your care. Last year we stopped into home plus to buy some new recliners, sales representative Matt helped us out and got us 2 very nice chairs. So today we were in the market for a new mattress, again Sales representative Matt to the rescue. I like that the reps are not overly pushy, yea they wanna make a sale but they want a happy customer too. Upon arrival we start looking at mattresses and Matt pops over to say high and ask if we needed help. Of course I say no just browsing. Ok he says what are u looking for I explain, he explains the sections and how things are laid out and let's us continue browsing. Ok now we have a few questions, Matt is more than helpful and knows his business. After a while we decide what we want, great he said and that was it. Matt offered us drinks when we got there which was very nice and was great with any of the questions I had. I found a couch I loved and decided I was going to finance it. It only took them 5 minutes to get me approved. I got a great deal on the couch since Matt was able to find me a coupon. All said and done I was in an out in less than 45 minutes. Couch is getting delivered on Tuesday I honestly couldn't be happier. Great customer service and Matt didn't try and hassle me into getting anything I didn't want. He was very professional in trying to determine our needs by asking some questions and pointing my wife and myself in the right direction. We absolutely love our new entertainment center! We had been browsing around trying to find something that would be within our price range but also BIG! I started a chat with Mike and he said come down to come on down. We were on a tims crunch but decided why not? We had purchased this set from a competitor 5 years ago & it had already been replaced twice. We were greeted by Matt D. Shortly after browsing around the store.
