As an ex employee: This company tends to over schedule or over anticipate. Among normal traditions of putting employees first, this company does the opposite. They tend to treat customers better than the employees. Due to scheduling issues and common lies to customers and bad pricing, they blamed the employees for the loss of customers. The regular words of the company was "We want to be different". Being different may not always be better, as companies who have been here for 15-25+ years are pretty well set and stone, as Atlus and or Homeshield make constant sales full of lies or sell $1 initial services because they lack customers then the technician is sent to the front lines to deal with the agitated customer which the company says is "Customer Service". I've been using Homeshield for a few years now and the dividends keep piling up. We first called because of ants...gone after a SINGLE treatment. We saw a couple of mice...gone within 2 visits. We added flea/tick treatment...have put zero flea meds on our pets this year!!!!! Had a nasty house guest and started seeing bugs...gone after 2 visits. This bunch is thorough and do an amazing job. UPSTANDING. CREDIBLE. GENUINE. HONORABLE. RESPECTABLE...and all the other positive adjectives you can think of describe my experience with this company! RAY in particular! In a routine visit to the vet I mentioned how my puppy has been scratching more than usual but I hadn't seen anything on him/fleas in the house. A rather unfortunate subletting experience in the past taught me what fleas look and SOUND like when there's an infestation, traumatizing. Anyways, the vet noticed "flea dirt" on my little man so I immediately went into overdrive (after being crushed that my baby had been exposed to fleas despite us rarely taking him outside). I purchased flea spray from petsmart (petarmor) and an organic vegan spray from amazon (wondercide) and sprayed my house DOWN while my puppy slept lol. I believe in letting chemicals marinate--so hours later and before he woke up, I swept, vacuumed, & mopped it all up. Determined to prevent an infestation, I called several companies for quotes. I'm so thankful a friend recommended a local spot bc orkin was charging $600 lol. Anyways, RAY came bright and early Monday to do an inspection. He was so comforting! He told me he could tell I had been proactive and only saw one carcass. He advised me to keep doing what I had been doing and only call for service if it didn't get better. He acknowledged my status as a student and respected my financial predicament. Most companies these days would do anything to sell their product and Ray didn't do that. He even offered me his card and invited me to email him with any pictures of future bugs I come across. Fortunately it never came to that point. I would recommend this company to any and everyone who needs pest control. And I would recommend Ray in particular lol. ***No, I was NOT paid for this review. We scheduled a treatment several days in advance. They were supposed to be at our home 2 days ago between 3pm and 5pm. They never showed or called to advise that they were not coming. My wife called them first thing yesterday morning to find out what happened. They were slightly apologetic and rescheduled for today between 3pm and 5pm. The tech was supposed to call when he was on his way. It's now 5:10. They have not arrived and have not called to let us know they are on there way or to explain why they are late. That's 2 afternoons that my wife has been stuck at home waiting for these people, and they have not even afforded us the courtesy of a phone call. That is not the way to treat customers. We will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I would not recommend this company. They knock on your door and tell you what a great deal they can give you on quarterly service. The salesman is pushy and when he gets you to sign up for service, he's really getting you to sign a contract which he does not explain. I only learned this today when calling to cancel my service. I'm in a situation where I just cannot afford it right now, yet I've been told that if I want to cancel, I have to pay for the remaining two services. Never again will you get my business as I feel the way you sell your services is shady and underhanded. read more

I love these guys! Ive been with them for about 9 years now and when I recently had a serious pest problem they came out that day to help me! They got rid of the problem and were really thorough. Morgan is one of the managers and came out herself. Very calm and explained things to me. Amber is my regular service rep and is always on time and very nice. If you call the office youll probably get Diana....she sat on the phone with me for awhile and calmed me down. You dont get all this attention with the big companies! The service tech I deal with the most is great! He is very genuine and seems to have my best interest at heart.

We were pretty happy with homeshield when we first signed up. The tech that came out seemed very knowledgable and was very nice and did a great job. The sales guy told us he would be our tech. Then every time after that we had someone else. The last time someone came out I had to call and remind them that it was our month for service. The tech that came out seemed very irritated, I wanted him to spray the inside of the house as well of the outside but instead he put ant bait in one window and sprayed the outside. I also asked him to check the glue traps in the garage but those weren't changed either. We will not be continuing our contract with them. read more

This company is wonderful. Had a little bit of growing pains in the beginning as far as coming out when somebody was home to spray the inside as well as the outside. That has all been resolved. They have been coming out for years now. We have a new representative now, Mr. Kevin Murphy who is simply wonderful. He is a very kind gentleman and instills a sense of confidence in the company. We rarely ever see any pests. This time around my daughter saw a spider for the first time in her life in our home (she is 9 believe it or not, that's what a good job this company does). Kevin came right out to spray and took care of some wasp nests in our window sills also. The representatives are always very respectful and kind and best of all, we rarely see any bugs!! While "I ain't afraid of no ghosts" and have no need to call Ghost Busters, spiders are a completely different matter!! I call the "bug busters" at Home Shield immediately.
