We used them for a year and a half. They were great and reliable for the first year. At some point the guy who was coming out changed. He would tell us the price is one thing, then charge us twice at a higher number. At one point we talked to the owner, who was very kind and fixed things, but the guy that came out did an incomplete job because we started seeing ants all over the place. When we brought this to our attention, the same guy who overcharged and double charged us said that we were behind, despite not showing any invoices. We talked to the owner again and got things squared away. He texts my wife asking if he can come out again, and my wife replies "We will be looking at other services until we are comfortable with the consistency and reliability of your service." His response was "I don't know what that means", so we left it at that. Today he calls my wife 5 times, which is just crazy. My wife didn't recognize the number so I called it, and he said "5 times it doesn't sound like something I'd do" I told him we requested to be canceled, and he said "okay, I'll put down you canceled". I responded with "you can tell the owner it was the lowlife that called", to which the guy laughed, and tried to stir things up. I simply said "I'm done with this conversation" and hung up. The owner is absolutely great. If it was him still coming out we'd still be all on board. But whoever this other guy is, has a screw loose, if he thinks lying about charges, double charging, and calling people 5 times, then lying about calling people 5 times in a row is acceptable. The only reason I haven't posted anything when all of this started is because the owner is so great to work with, and has resolved the issues in the past. But calling someone 5 times? Thats harassment. Come on people, let's use some common sense. Don't lie about it. read more

We've been using Angell Pest for our termite service for a few years now and have been very happy with them. They are very reasonably priced and are always there exactly when they say they will be (and that doesn't mean having to schedule weeks out. We normally call and they are there in the next couple of days). Not once have they tried to "up-sell" or get me to sign on for any "extras" I don't need. Great service from these folks. Called this morning due to ants. They were able to come to my house within a couple of hours and treat everything. The gentlemen that came out were extremely professional and courteous to my wife. Me and my fiance started a contract with this company. Due to personal relationships with my fiance's family and no communicating from either of us, they placed our account on hold. Me nor my fiance ever asked for it to be discontinued, but his sister's side of the family overstepped boundaries. Instead of handling things in a business perspective, they decided to take the word of a third party person. I would only recommend this company if you don't personally know them to avoid this issue. read more

This is my second review for Angell. It's now been 13 years that we've been using them to keep the critters at bay at our Victorian home. Old houses like ours are a special kind of challenge and Roger is always up for figuring out what crazy scheme the vermin have come up with. We just went through a sudden rat infestation but after a bit of trial-and-error, he found the problem and our house is quiet and calm again! Roger showed up as scheduled and got right into it. I called him with concerns about my crawlspace and needed a professional opinion. I live in a 1950's home for the past 10 years. I have noticed the foundation expidited in settling and moving lately. I needed to know why. After his analysis, he showed me moisture concerns that's entering the foundation from water run off and had some suggestions to resolve it. Also, what I thought was dirt dust was identified as mold. He explained the havoc and nature on wood if left untreated. I feel he did a great job being clear about what he saw. I did not feel sales pressure or that he was trying to over service me. It blew me away that he didn't charge me for the inspection. I asked for an estimate to clean the mold and after a week I have not received it. Must be pretty busy. If I use him I'll write another review. read more

These guys know their stuff, are customer focused, and honest. My wife and I bought our house this past summer and haven't had any pest issues since. However, we noticed what we thought were mouse droppings in the basement and didn't know if it was a past problem that had been remedied by the previous owner, or if it was a current problem in need of our attention. Since there was no other evidence of mice, we called Angell to get their professional opinion. Roger and his son came out to our house the very day we called, investigated the situation, and thankfully confirmed our hopes that the droppings were old, and a just a sign of a past issue. On top of thoroughly investigating the issue and giving us future pest control tips, they did not charge us for the visit since there was technically no issue to solve. I really appreciated their professional and understanding approach, and I will be sure to use them for any future pest issues I may have, as well as recommend them to my friends. read more

This is the BEST pest control company in Middle Tennessee. We started using them 9 1/2 years ago while living in Sylvan Park. We recently moved to 20 acres and had no doubt that they could handle all our extra new needs that come with living in the country. We were met with new pest problems when we moved into this house that had not been occupied in a long time. They set up critter traps in our attic and even repaired 2 attic (triangle gable louver) vents. They also set up mice traps, did tick & mosquito fogging, and carpenter ant treatment. I can't rave enough about this company and the people running it! Let me start from the beginning...we are selling our house so of course the buyers want a termite inspection as expected so earlier this week a PEST control company came out (I will not name the company) but the rep showed up in dress slacks and a button down shirt that caught my attention first because how in the world was this guy who looked all of 18 in his nicest attire gonna get in the mulch and in the crawl space and do a thorough check?! Then he goes into my garage and stands in the middle of the floor and is writing things on his clipboard while not moving around. I stood and watched him and even asked "can I move anything for you? Is anything in your way?" He says "no we just pretty much look around." Then he goes to the crawl space a very short time later he comes out and decided to tell me that he is done and he found old termite damage but nothing live. Well I'm shocked to hear this and in complete disbelief because we had the house checked when we purchased 4 years ago and twice since (the two times since were because it was included in our PEST protection contract we were in with Terminix last year) and we have NEVER been told there was previous damage and we have NEVER had to treat for termites. He says "I don't recommend treatment but I'll send my report to the buyer". So of course the buyer now wants treatment done which is totally understandable but we did not believe his report but instead of taking the chance of losing a buyer we decided that we would seek treatment but NOT with that company so I did a little research and came across this company which is highly recommended through reviews. I called and explained the situation to the man who answered Roger who come to find out is the owner and told him I wanted an estimate for treatment...he insisted on sending his guys out right away for a second opinion and explained how and why these things happen with bigger companies. Fast forward a few hours two men come to my house very nice and very knowledgeable! They looked my house over twice including the crawl space and even took the picture of the graph from the other company with him to double check those "problem areas" and found absolutely nothing! These guys were gaining nothing from me today and could have lied to me just like the other company did ONLY to rip me off of several hundred dollars but the did not! What a great business Rodger is running and whether or not the buyer still wants treatment (which would only be done by Angell) they just gained a lifetime client and believe me when I tell you I will recommend this company to any and EVERYONE because honesty and quality are very hard to find and these guys have it! read more
