Terrible experience from YQG Electric. I first received an invoice at an outrageous amount for them…read moresimply changing 4 outlets that took about an hour, which I had to supply and install my own covers for the outdoor ones as well. Communication was slow in attempt to correct the invoice amount and I requested to see the breakdown of the charges on the bill. Once I received a second corrected invoice it was still high and again did not provide a breakdown of charges (eg. labor and parts charged). I then gave up and paid the outstanding bill as I did not want any repercussions from the unrealistic due date on the invoice. To my surprise a week later Mike contacted me via telephone regarding the bill and advises they again will correct the invoice and credit an hour labor back ($180). A week went by and I received nothing from what I discussed with Mike. I then emailed inquiring about the phone conversation.. but never heard a response. It's now weeks later and I have not received any contact. Not impressed. Will be advising everyone I know and work with to steer clear of YQG. This is not how you do business. To leave a polite customer hanging.

Then for some reason I had flickering lights, and Sam was out of the country, so I called another electric company. He came out and fiddled around a couple things. Again, it was a while before I tried the generator again and it still didn't work. I talked with a neighbor down the road, and he gave me the number of the electrician he uses. I called them and they came out and told me it's a good thing it didn't work because it was not hooked up correctly. I could have caused an explosion, and even ruined my generator. That company (Efficient Electric) fixed it safely on their 2nd visit. I'm out the money I paid to United Electric in the end.

When I couldn't plug in a cord, after installation they were here right away. Turned out it was defective, from Amazon. They even checked in with us following our recent storm and power outage to make sure everything was working as they had planned. Haven't experienced this level of service in a long time!

However, the actual issue was merely a faulty thermostat. The company owner displayed unprofessional behavior towards me and my wife. They gave me an official quote and promised to pull permits for me. Everything went great and I'm happy with the work. I'm not sure if I'm just extremely happy to be done with my old panel or if they did such a good job. They put in grounding rods, replaced the connection to the line and the meter box. And replaced my old Pushmatic panel with a new Square D panel. All needed desperately. The price was very competitive. The job was done in a timely manner. And the city came out a few days later and approved it. I would work with them again!
