Hmm... where to start. Essentially, the property managers at J Carroll Molloy are slumlords. By…read morename, that would be Christina, Dave, and Ed.. but mostly Ed. Thus far in 2021, I have been without heat and hot water on three separate occasions (it's been less than 5 months), had my water completely turned off without notice twice, endured OVERNIGHT (10PM-6AM) roadwork 10 feet from my bedroom window for 2 months WITHOUT NOTICE, had circuit breaker fail and (since they will not allow me access to my own breaker) I waited for 3 days to be able to utilize any of my kitchen appliances. Their response rate to ANY form of communication rests at about 15%, and the embarrassingly nonchalant, unprofessional nature of their entire property management team would be impressive if it wasn't for the catastrophic interruptions to my every day life. Y'all thought I was finished?? Every July-September for 4 years, my apartment has become infested with cockroaches. That, of course, follows the yearly springtime ant infestation. J Carroll Molloy's 'Property Management Team' has been out to treat said infestations a grand total of ONE time.. in 4 years. They haven't cut the grass or trimmed the bushes in ~15 months (it's in the lease), and my bathroom has been crumbling for nearly 2 years. Their solution to a rotted shower wall, a dismounted radiator cover, and a sink that, quite literally just fell off the wall was..... to reinstall the sink. That's it. My shower wall continues to rot. The radiator cover remains unfastened and protruding from the wall... the dry spackle sits, as it has for almost 2 years, un-sanded and unpainted. Then again, I guess that doesn't really matter since I can't take a shower anyway. They, as a whole, refuse to respond to vital communication in a timely manner, whether that's by text, email, phone call, or carrier pigeon. This all happens without much recourse, as Nick Molloy's (the company's namesake and 'broker of record') email gets bounced back as a 'temporary problem with delivery.' So instead, it seems that a group of leeches ('partners' at this point.. embarrassing) have decided to disregard property management and prevent Mr. Molloy (a truly good man in my own interactions with him) from appropriately tending to the properties his name represents. The unspoken message they have sent repeatedly is that I now pay too little in rent (since the lease says they can't increase it), and that my discomfort with my living situation is my own problem. Well.. now it's your problem too, Ed. Let me know when you get the water and heat back on (again). Send a pigeon. It'll be faster and more reliable than any other communication you've attempted. If you tried real hard, you might even be able to remember exactly how to send one of those bad boys.. but I won't hold my breath as I'm completely sure that your incompetence isn't limited to electronics. Hope ya had fun golfing today. You probably suck at that too, though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Talk to ya soon! (I won't)

When we were ready to take that same step, their experience and recommendation gave us a lot of confidence in choosing to work with Jon. After meeting with Jon and Madeline and beginning our home search, it didn't take long for us to realize we were in great hands. As first-time homebuyers, there was a lot about the process that was new to us, so having their knowledge and guidance was incredibly valuable. They were always quick to respond, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and made what could have been a stressful process feel much more manageable. Jon consistently made us feel like he was looking out for us rather than just trying to get us into a house. He was honest about the properties we looked at and whether he thought they were actually worth the money. His experience flipping homes was also a huge benefit. He would get into crawl spaces, get down on the ground, and take a close look at the structural aspects of a property. Because of the confidence we had in his knowledge and judgment, we felt comfortable waiving an inspection when we needed to make a strong offer. Madeline was amazing at keeping everything organized once we had an accepted offer. She made sure we stayed on top of the paperwork, deadlines, and all of the decisions that needed to be made leading up to closing. We honestly cannot say enough good things about Christopher Real Estate. We had such a great experience with Jon and Madeline, and we continue to recommend them to anyone who asks about buying our home.

Throughout the whole process Jon was responsive and reliable as was his whole team. A huge plus is that his work background means he has a keen eye for specific details while walking through prospective homes. We always felt like we were in good hands with Jon and that he really cares. We closed our home with ease and referred our close friends shortly after!
