Let me start this review by saying one word: Wow…read more That's how pleased I am with the job that Julie did for me in late 2018 and early 2019 during the sale of my home. When I look to hire any professional for any sort of job - financial advisor, contractor, lawyer, and realtor - I look for someone who possesses these 3 attributes: First knowledge and expertise in the field. Second, someone who makes me feel comfortable to ask as many questions, regardless of how basic, without making me feel incompetent. And third, someone who will make the process as simple for me as possible and represent me to the fullest. Julie fit all 3 of those criteria. I met Julie 4 years ago, as she organized a community yard sale in our development, where Julie is also a resident. (At the time, I had just put my home on the market with a different agency. I was unhappy with the offers I was receiving, and my realtor at the time urged me to continue to drop the price. Eventually, I took my home off the market.) Fast forward 3 years, and I was ready to explore selling agin. I reached out to Julie, as she has a tremendous presence in the community. Julie was positive and reassuring. She gave me an honest assessment of the value of my home, and what she thought I needed to do in order to get the price that I was looking for. Admittedly, I was secretly pessimistic about my chances of achieving this. However, about a month after listing the house (in November, which is a tenuous time to list a home), I received an offer at asking-price! But the story didn't end there.... There was a snag in the closing, as the closing date was originally scheduled for mid-January, right in the middle of the federal government's shutdown, and my buyer's loan was a USDA loan. So, with the federal agencies closed, we were unable to complete the closing. However, my buyer needed to be in the home, so Julie helped to negotiate a very fair rental deal until the shutdown had ended. Despite the stress of the uncertainty, Julie worked diligently to ensure the sale went smoothly and all of my concerns were alleviated. She advised at the time of closing and when the apartment is rented. I said I had all the docs for her. She emails me with a phone call she received with someone telling her she can't sell said property. She informs me of the call but questions me like she's the police. This person who called her had no legal documents and mind you I listed my property before and she saw this. I felt like I dealing with a 5 yr old and I advised her that anyone could have been trying to make trouble for me. I then fired her and ended the contract because it's a rental property and it could have been a old tenant that called her. My time is valuable and anyone knows no one can just call and lay claim to a property so if other harassing calls came to her I would have been contacted with nonsense. I have legal rights to handle the estate and Ms. Jenkins showed her unprofessional and childish behavior in which she told me not to contact her anymore when in fact she bought hearsay from a crank call to me. I own properties around the world even in the islands and never had such craziness from a realtor. I have since hired a mature seasoned realtor that will not contact me with foolishness because they respect me and my time.
