This is one of the better antique shops in Carp. Reasonably priced without being too expensive. Lots of goodies so take your time looking and you will find something. The woman who owns the shop knows her stuff. Definitely stop by! read more

It's an antique store/thrift store with lots and lots of stuff, which is scattered and haphazardly placed. It's dusty and disorganised. Prices are very high in comparison to the nice and well placed thrift stores in Santa Barbara. The person sitting at the counter is unfriendly and stiff. Does not respond even to a good morning wish. Won't recommend the place. read more

Last October I was getting ready to move house when I visited this shop. I was not looking to buy anything since I had so much at home that needed to be rid of. But I spotted a set of silverware that would fit perfectly in my new pad, with price was so reasonable that I would be mad to pass them up. The shopkeeper wrapped them up for me, I paid, left, and was across the street when I heard someone calling after me. It was the shopkeeper, rushing to hand me a couple extra pieces as a gift for the move. Now I am far from a frequent reviewer, but I believe in bringing a little bit good attention to a business when I feel that they care about making their customers happy. I will end by saying that this silverware set has been bringing me joy every day since I moved in. That is a good purchase indeed. read more

I think I'm too next level with my thinking... Cause this place ain't it. Antique stores have a habit of being cliches...museums with useless piles of junk to look at instead of being places with fun, cool, useful things. What is the point of buying something just to look at it? Most stuff here is props for movie sets or something. When you bring in your inventory, do you even consider functionality as you go along? On top of it, it just seems like the inventory is whatever the place could collect or find...a random collection of both whatever and nothing at the same time. No thought put into it. I'm tired of writing. I should open my own antique shop and show people how to do it. read more

Found a vintage writing desk with leather top in great condition for a good price! We couldn't take it home in our rental, but they held it for us without hassle until we could pick it up a week later. Super friendly and knowledgeable about products. Many interesting finds. This is a nice little vintage/antique store in downtown Carpenteria with nice quality stuff. The location is a little small for the amount of stuff they have, so it seems a little cramped, but I appreciated that there were so many things to browse! I was able to go through the whole store in a half hour, medium-speed browsing. Though I didn't make a purchase on my first visit, I've been thinking of a figure I saw and intend to go back to buy it. Staff I talked to was friendly and polite. Everything looks clean and in good condition (for its age). Very cute shop. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area. read more

Nice place lots to look at most of it pretty typical. Some rare African items also some interesting dolls.

I have been visiting this store for many years and I hope for many more. There is such a wide variety of things available. Everything from antiques to collectible items. Lamps, glassware, China , wall hangings, figurines, jewelry, nautical items, hats, shoes, exotic items.... too much to list. There are always new items to see and it is clean, bright and airy store. Maribeth is always on hand to answer questions. Her kind , caring manner really lights up ones shopping experience. I always love to visit the store and it is difficult to keep from buying something on each visit. It is my go to store when searching for a one of a kind gift item. Their prices are comparable and reasonable. Some of the vendors are willing to give a break on their prices. I live about 40 minutes to the south of this store. I make a special trip to shop here on occasion. Although when I am passing through I stop in on my way to destinations north of Carpenteria. There are lots of spots to eat nearby and a great candy store across the street. I highly recommend this store to anyone that enjoys vintage and antiques. read more

A very nice and enjoyable antique shop. It's not huge, but still fun. As with any antique store with multiple vendors, the prices vary greatly depending on the vendor, but on the whole the prices here are on the high side. I did manage to find one great deal... but most things of interest were priced out of range. That said, I also just enjoy seeing things and they had some very cool items. One thing that shouldn't be missed is the shelves of vintage glass in the back of the store. I see vintage bottles all the time, but what is unique about these (other than the wonderful sorting job) is that they park each item with not only what it was, but where it was found! That's super cool. They don't except offers on anything under $50. That's always off putting. But whenever I'm in carpenteria... I'll be visiting! read more

Had the best experience in this Mall today. The person that helped me a sweet lady with dark hair. She opened many jewelry cases for me as that is what I normally purchase for my business. She gave exceptional customer service and offered a dealer discount which was much appreciated. My favorite store so far on my road trip. I will be back for sure. This place is eh compared to the other antique stores in downtown Carpinteria. This place has a lot of cool things to look at but so old or outdated that they don't necessarily want to buy them. The staff is annoying as I went in today and the lady must have continued to follow me and my roommate around the store for a good 15 min until we decided to leave. Items are not merchandised as cool as Whimsy antiques which is across the street. I have more of an appreciation for antiques when they are placed together in visually appealing displays. read more

We (my friend and I) have been visiting this gem of a store for a few years during my stay at my friend's condo in the summer. We tootle down Linden Ave. and always stop at this store and a few others and always find something. Plan on spending a bit of time here for there is LOTS to see. Many different antique and "otherwise" dealers have spots in here. It's well organized and everyone pretty much displays their wares here rather nicely and you can see they spend a lot of time washing and ironing cloth to make it beautifully presentable. This last visit this summer we found antique silk velvet ribbon, old stock from France, in every size and beautiful colors ...couldn't resist. Beautiful for making that special gift extra special by wrapping this ribbon around it or for adorning clothing, hats, weaving it through crochet work or for anything else you can think of. OK, the linens...such quality in the older cloth such as damask or pure linen weaves, heavy cottons and incredible embroidery. ...not to be found new anywhere around here with such quality...maybe possibly in Portugal still, and you will pay dearly.. We found a heavy cotton tablecloth, brand new from FRANCE, amazing pattern on it!! My favourite is the cloth towels for the guests, to use to dry themselves off, which are used in hotels across Europe. I am never going back to the thick terry towels. It's surprising how they really are absorbent and how soft they are next to the body because of the quality. I got a high quality woven tablecloth as well. We had a hard time choosing linens, the selection was huge. The lady behind the counter was so nice and helpful while we where having a great time in the store. We are seasoned shoppers and here we always find something. A great place to do your Christmas shopping. You will find amazing things! Anyways, we walked out with armful of goodies for very good prices and we will be back next summer. read more
