The hotel itself is unique, stylish, and made for a memorable stay. I also have to give a special shout-out to The Count House bar. My group stopped in late looking for a drink, and Sara and Rachel welcomed us with such warmth and genuine hospitality. They made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. Sara crafted what was, without question, the best Mezcal Old Fashioned I've ever had. It was perfectly balanced and expertly made. Between the outstanding cocktails and the incredible service from both Sara and Rachel, our night ended on the perfect note. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so memorable. I can't wait to stay at 21c Museum Hotel again and will absolutely be returning to The Count House on my next trip!

Centrally-located, awesome reception staff, spacious rooms and an actual museum. I like it…read more Upon arrival, you may be thinking this can't be the hotel. Once the offices of a bank, it feels a little corporate, but not modern-day corporate, more like early/mid-century corporate and I can get into that! You'll be greeting by the staff that will help with valet or luggage and directed to reception up on the second floor. When you get out of the elevator, you may again be doubting that you're in a hotel because there's the museum and depending on what artist is being exhibited, it may feel like you've wandered into an alternate universe of sculpture and paintings. Admittedly, it's a little sterile rather than luxurious or minimalist or maximalist (or whatever vibe a hotel is going for with their lobby). No signature scent. No floral displays. While at first it was a little off-putting, it wasn't a big deal because the museum concept is truly unique. My favorite amenity is the water. Seriously. They give you two refillable bottles and encourage you to use the water dispensers in the lobby and gym. I also appreciate the cozy robes in the room, Malin + Goetz products in large dispensers, cutting down on the small bottle waste that drives me insane. I usually don't do coffee in hotel rooms b/c it's so substandard (I despise Keurig) but here it's Nespresso, which is pretty good. Not a fan of the heating/cooling system in the room. I like to sleep with moving air and the thermostat in my room seemed to be locked. Note to self to always check this when I arrive because I sure as hell don't feel like doing so when it's time to go to bed. The gym is reallllly small and in the basement. I wouldn't look forward to working out down there, but it is what it is. There's one elliptical machine, a couple stationary bikes and treadmills. Cable weights, plenty of free weights and a couple kettlebells. It's just really small and I was grateful that I had it to myself because I need room when I'm doing a strength workout. And those chilled eucalyptus towels are LIFE, almost making up for the tiny windowless gym! I enjoyed my stay here. It might be my favorite of the three hotels that I've stayed in when visiting Durham. I think given the location and amenities, the value is good (when I was booking, it was significantly cheaper than the Marriott where I stayed the last time).

I loved my stay at Unscripted…read more It was walking distance to so many great things. It's across the street from the bull, 2 blocks from the farmers market, food hall, rise biscuits, and about 3 blocks away from tobacco campus, baseball stadium, and art center. The staff here are super friendly and accommodating. During my stay, there was karaoke in the evening. It was so nice! There were some amazing singing. Very friendly crowds, i got to experience the southern hospitality. I got a room with king bed and city view. It was nice to watch the sunset on the skyline each evening. It is next to the pool, so we can hear people at the pool. But it's very nice if you want to enjoy the pool. In terms of security, the place is locked at night. There's a security guard. I felt safe.

A colleague was locked out of her room due to a lock malfunction, but instead of a emergency repair, was put in another room with none of her belongings. Bedside clock display was brightly lit, and could not be adjusted. Finally had to wrap a towel around it to block the light in the room. Went to make a cup of coffee in the in-room pod coffee maker, and it was so scaled up that I never got over a small amount of coffee in the cup. This is basically a party hotel. It is a dark spot on the Hyatt hotel name.

Our rooms were comfy and clean and the air worked great. The freshly baked chocolate chip and sugar cookies hit the spot. Breakfast was better than the other Hamptons we've stayed in - lots to choose from - from cheesy omelets, make your own breakfast sandwiches, waffles, really good fruit salad, toast and bagels, etc. The service was top notch from check in and through our whole stay. We've already decided that this will be our go to spot from now on on our annual trip back home from down South. Great place!

Everything feels clean and new. There's so much common space from the dining room, to the large adjacent sitting room, to the outdoor sitting area/tables. I've had an excellent interaction with a staff member who quickly resolved an issue for me. One of the reasons I came back to stay again is because I find the rooms to be very quiet, but you can hear some cars go past. Cars I can tune out, loud neighbors I can't. Also the breakfast is varied and they have some items that are a bit healthier like chicken sausage (in addition to pork), and 3 kinds of eggs (boiled, scrambled, and sunny side up.

This place wasn't here the last time we were in town, but it's a perfect place to stay now. Located just off the Duke east campus, it's along Main Street, a couple minutes from Ninth street in one direction, downtown the other, and little jaunt to the Durham Bulls park and very close to the main freeways in the area. The building is very long - we were at the far end and it helped us get our steps in! The room we were in was at the end in a corner and was an odd shape - literally no other way to put it. The bedroom was good size, the couch room was just a little small. We have three little dudes sleeping in there and they did just fine. I just required a little feng shui! The bathroom had a random fifth wall that the toilet sat on. Not a big deal, just different than we've seen elsewhere. Our room was right over the parking garage, which was also very awkwardly shaped. There's a spot at the far end that you need to back into as we found it impossible to three point into it. Again, not a show stopper, but good to know ahead of time. The overflow lot across the street was much more straightforward. There's nice sitting space, a lively bar and a good medium sized workout area. The breakfast was solid, the market delightful, the staff lovely and the grounds overall very nice. It's a great property with some quirks and lot of really nice character. We'll be back!

I also liked the water refill station near the ice machine, where you can get hot, cold, and sparkling water. The gym is basic but solid, with free weights up to 50 lbs, a few upper body machines, leg machines, cardio equipment, and space to stretch. The lobby bar is also lively in the evenings and seems to attract a good crowd. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay.

Probably not. Bed comfort is subjective but I didn't find the mattress comfortable and had a hard time sleeping. When I woke up my back was hurting. They had one scratchy, ratty robe in the room. No bag for dirty laundry and the tv was fuzzy. Another huge negative for me is there was no microwave in the room and the refrigerator was tiny. Overall, the value isn't there for me.
