The person could not schedule the inspection unless the call came from the sales agent. Apparently thats the only way "her computer lets her schedule" The inspection itself was not adequate. The inspector Dave seemed to speed through the inspection. We noticed one leak in the ejector pipe but failed to mention that in his report. Attention to detail and quality of service that you would expect from an inspection company is simply not there. This was a complete waste of my money.

We called MasterTech Environmental for an air quality test and moisture assessment. Tom Duff was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The air quality test showed no airborne mold, but the dampness in the ceiling was of concern. His team came out to remove parts of the drywall to assess for mold. Trace amounts of black mold were uncovered along with quite a bit of white mold. The team quickly removed all affected drywall and insulation. When I tell you these guys are thorough and work clean, I mean it. Tony, etc were meticulous with closing off the affected areas for safety and ensuring no mess was left behind. There wasn't an ounce of dust anywhere. It was as if they were never here! MasterTech Environmental does not replace the dry wall, but they recommended an incredibly reliable contractor who did. He also worked exceptionally clean and had my office back to normal in 2 days. Diane in the office is a sweetheart and her communication was second to none. She kept me updated on everything and ensured I received detailed reports complete with photos for insurance claims. Pricing was upfront and fair and they provide a 5 year guarantee on their work. While I wanted to get it fixed the prices I was given by other supposedly reputable companies in the area were astronomical. I delayed until I was given a realistic estimate from Mastertech. That is not to say it was cheap but reasonable by comparison. I was especially impressed when getting my estimate that I was being listened to and not talked at. The guys who came to my house were friendly and professional. They sent up a containment area so the rest of the house was safe from the work area. It only took a few days to clean out and clean up 40+ years of stuff in the basement. Now I have a perfectly clean and empty basement. Oh ,and I have a certificate stating my house was clean. Now for a side note to people like me who honestly don't know what you got till it's gone.....I will say that you must (let me emphasize this) must know what you want to keep before they start clearing out your stuff. They will save what you say you want to keep and anything they deem valuable like silverware or family photos If they can. They we're thorough and I was naive and didn't think they would toss out my closed plastic bins of media or a sculpture I made. This is not their fault. The things that were not damaged by the flood were damaged by Servpro and their crew. No protective covering was used on my floor while they were dragging wet things and debris and dropping stuff all over my floors they destroyed my floors upstairs and they now need to be replaced. They even cracked tile on my kitchen floor, they damaged the walls coming upstairs. They ruined my oak steps coming upstairs again by not covering them. They are all discolored and water damaged. While they cut parts of drywall they again covered nothing and my kids things were covered in drywall debris which they left. They put sewage soaked things on top of one of my sons 1 year old mattress. He now needs a new mattress. They left drywall debris and water soaked things behind. They ruined my 6 month old couch and loveseat . They said they tried to vacuum them but they couldn't get them clean. Well they made them dirty but I guess it's on me to fix it. I had to have my insurance company bring in someone else to clean up all the things left behind including items that were still wet. Servpro of Salem County refused to take down some walls that were wet. I had to argue with them. They made themselves at home coming upstairs walking through my entire home dragging dust and debris with them to use MY bathroom! They wear masks for Covid (but most of the time they had them off) but make themselves at home and use my bathroom? Again another company has to come in to finish the job correctly. I'm out so much more money now with things not originally damaged in the flood and covered through insurance. I am putting in a compliant with Servpro's insurance company to get the things they ruined, replaced. Servpro is a franchise so I cannot speak for all of them but this specific review is for Servpro of Salem County, NJ. Do not make the mistake with using this company, call someone else!
