Danny was the inspector in one of my deals. With his bare eyes, he decided that the house had TOXIC Chinese drywall, which of course killed the deal. Sellers had to spend over $1,000 to test the wall, especially since Danny decided to post the entire listing on his Facebook and claimed it had toxic Chinese drywall (and also to ridicule certain feature of the home, which his cronies ended up liking. So joke was on him). Of course the test came back negative. There was ZERO presence of toxic Chinese drywall; and sellers had to pay for repair of the places cut to send to the lab. After this ordeal, when the sellers decided he was not welcomed to their property, he decided to report me to the board of realtors. It's the owners' right who's welcomed to their property. Nothing to do with me. But his anger was fixated on me. He even posted my name on his Facebook page. I had people sending messages! I never even met the man in my entire life. Never knew he existed. But I became his target, as the agent. Only through this ordeal that I learned about Danny Blankenship. Through some of his own Facebook friends who have either dealt with me before and know my character and who I am, when they saw my name posted on his Facebook page, being slandered. The day of the inspection, Danny acted very odd the moment I said hello to him. I came at the end to make sure the doors were closed, since sellers were not here. I was never on his way. I never made it inside the house. I tried asking how did the inspection go, he acted all dramatic, jumped in his truck and left. So we barely even talked. The mere sight of me seemed to have either bothererd or disgusted him that day. Then he proceeded to lie on the report, citing TOXIC Chinese wall without a test. There's no way to confirm this without testing. If at first sight Danny doesn't like you for whatever personal odd reason, you're screwed. There will be no fair report. Just be prepared to put your listing back on the market. I never received an apology, which I'm sure he doesn't believe I deserve. read more

Update to my rating, while I was mislead by his technicians who said the reinspect fee would either be free or "nominal" after speaking with the manager Josh he agreed to do it personally for $75. Granted the term "nominal" is subjective but $75 is much closer to my definition than the original quote of $125 so we're going to have him accomplish the reinspect. Clueless with your personal information, if you value you privacy avoid HomeTeam Inspection Service and Dan Blankenship. We were buying a house and our agents old home inspector had retired so we gave HomeTeam Inspection Service and Dan Blankenship a try. Sadly it was one hassle after another. We sent an appointment day and time. A few hours later they called asking to reschedule an hour later in the day. My realtor and I arrived at the appointed day and time and no one showed up to do the inspection. We called several different numbers trying get someone and we finally got a call back. "Whoops, we did it yesterday" they said. But they didn't care enough to tell us they changed the time and they never sent the inspection report until after we called trying to find out where they were. As for customer service, there isn't any. In a world where real estate happens 24/7, these folks quit at 5pm and don't respond on weekends. And the worst is yet to dome. The day our report was finally emailed to us we started getting spam via email and text from some web data collection company we never heard of saying HomeTeam Inspection Service and Dan Blankenship had signed us up for their service. Yes, before the report was even emailed to us they had sold or given our personal information to a company we never heard of and uploaded the FULL INSPECTION REPORT with even more personal information to the same data collection company. In the first 4 days we got multiple unsolicited spam emails and texts from different companies, including actual HomeTeam Inspection Service sponsored spam trying to sell ADT security systems. After complaining to Dan Blankenship via their internal rating system I got an email saying "we didn't do that." After I sent copies of the spam showing "HomeTeam Inspection Service and Dan Blankenship had signed us up for their service" he said I don't have anything to do with that, thats corporate. He's a paying franchisee of HomeTeam Inspection Service and he doesn't know and doesn't care what they do with their customer data???? Really? Thankfully we knew the house we were buying needs lots of work and the inspection was a mere formality, but if Dan Blankenship is that clueless about running his business I have to wonder if his inspections are trustworthy. Plus even more of our personal info has been leaked to the web. You have been warned! read more

Very professional and polite. I thought I had received a good service on a buyer home inspection and a wind mitigation inspection. Unfortunately, 3 months after buying the home, we realized that one of the ceiling truss is cut in half in a very visible manner. This is a big issue as it's not a cheap repair and compromises the integrity of the home. If a hurricane were to hit the roof would be a goner and insurance would not cover. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. It's one thing to be thorough it's another to be completely inaccurate. This inspector reported conditions that did not exists. When asked about it face to face, he laughed and walked away. Not sure what the motives are of this particular inspector, but they are not in favor of the home buyer or anyone else. Unprofessional. The inspector neglected to go through the proper channels to schedule the pick up of his radon kit from my seller's home. When he arrived at her home, he didn't see the lockbox, so he decided to enter through the garage side door. But when he broke into the interior door and the alarm sounded, he continued inside to get his radon kit. He left the home with the alarm sounding, and never bothered to contact the seller, the buyer's agent, nor myself to let us know what he had done. I cannot recommend this company. read more

Exposed live electrical wiring, broken gutters, missing electrical box coverplates, and more. He never went in attic. We had to hire another home inspector to uncover these missed items.
