We'd read reviews regarding the difficulties cancelling a contract, asked about them, and were told we'd be "free to cancel" with 30 days prior notice before the next treatment; this wording was used to give us false confidence that the company would do right by us. We were wrong, then charged for the entire quarter within 24 hours of cancellation-- without warning-- simply sent an emailed invoice when our account had already been drafted (and without a call we'd been awaiting, having been told someone would reach out regarding our concerns). Never will we ever use these services again, and I suggest you strongly reconsider if not absolutely certain you want locked in for a year here. read more

This is my initial service and the tech totally disrespected my home. I am furious! This guy entered my home with his work boots on and no shoe covers, struggled to open the attic and at one point I had to tell him, "If you keep pushing in the door like that you're going to break it!", then he sprayed a chemical in the garage and also sprayed it on my new car. After walking all through the yard and treating the outside, he comes back in to treat the last bathroom with his shoes on, and mind you the sprinklers have ran this morning and I have to stop him and tell him to take his shoes off because he has to walk on carpet to get to the bathroom. I ask about the chemical that he sprayed in the garage and tell him that he sprayed it all over my car. His response, "It should be fine! If you have any problems with your paint just call in." Stafford, Tx - Something has changed with this company. Do not use them! They cannot get into by back and side yards with the gate locked but they charged my credit card. I was tired of calling and complaining and I cancelled the service. They came out anyway. They can't put the spray in the line and they charged me full price and will not give me a refund. The serviceman never sprayed inside my home. When I finally connected with the sells representative she stated, I would not be charged for this visit. They realized the exterminator didn't come inside the home to finish's the job. After the serviceman returned and finished exterminating my home, two days later I received a bill for $145. When I called Home Team pest defense, the support service stated to forget the bill. I would not be charged. A few weeks after I started getting calls throughout the day telling me the bill was due. I built my home in 2004 and always tried to support this company's business. Beyond the negativity many have expressed about their work. They will NEVER receive another dollar from me or my time. Rude customer service and management team. I had to make 5 separate appointments in 6 weeks for ant infestations in the kitchen and bedrooms. The final straw was a No call no show of a scheduled appointment. I had to go out and purchase my own products to treat the ants after they no showed my appointment. All I got was a lousy $30 for the no show despite spending over $100 for their services and $70 for my own products. This company isn't worth the hassle, there is plenty of other competition. When the "$30 refund check" arrived in the mail it was only for $25. read more

Terrible customer service. We leave messages on their voicemail but they are never returned. We have to call repeatedly to get scheduled for service. Roaches and spiders are still seen inside the house after their quarterly treatment. We also bought termite warranty through this company and had to schedule the annual termite inspection 3 times before someone showed up. Very frustrating to deal with this company. HomeTeam's internal insecticide system was a feature of our new home that went from dirt lot to finished four-bedroom in 2013. Though it's apparent that others have been disappointed by HomeTeam's performance and I respect that, I have to say we've had positive experience. Our technician the entire time, Hugo, is "Johnny on the spot," friendly/chill/courteous and effective. We've had three instances of different types of insects showing up inside. Nothing too gnarly but still must be gone! Each time, HomeTeam/Hugo came out ASAP (A few months ago within the hour! Happily, he must have been nearby. Hugo investigated and found that they were red ants and how they were entering the house -- a mound hidden by grass that I didn't see next to the foundation). Like the Toyota Tacoma work truck he uses, he gets the job done and has been utterly reliable. We love having that peace of mind and not having uninvited house guests -- at least for long! read more

HomeTeam is the best when it comes to pests. :) We have used HomeTeam since moving into our home a few years ago, and I would recommend them to ANYBODY in Houston looking for a reliable, fast, and trustworthy pest control team. A representative calls you to tell you that someone is coming out at least 4-5 days in advance, so I never worry about missing a treatment, and if you need to reschedule, they are happy to accommodate. The techs are always on-time and friendly (Brandon is the BEST!!), and do a thorough job spraying around our house even when it is 137 degrees outside. Of the few times we have had to call them on the weekend to schedule someone to come out for a specific pest issue, they were able to take care of it within 2-3 days, and made sure to continue to follow up on that particular concern to make sure the issue was resolved. I do not know what happened to management but it's really getting bad. Maybe they do not care about image. I have to admit the tech is the only one who picks up the phone and talks, otherwise the clerks are a complete waste of time and " management" does not return calls. I miss Chuck. We used this service for many years. The Stafford office and staff is awful. I have received multiple phone calls over the past year each time a payment is due. We have requested each time we receive these calls to put us on auto pay. The last person I spoke with seemed to have made the adjustment but I guess I'll see next time. The service people are not reliable. I was called and told my service would be on a specific date. The technician never showed. No phone call, no rescheduling, no communication whatsoever. I had to call and set up a new appointment. When the technician was here, he broke the door on my TAEXX system and did not let me know. I found the door on the grass. I have spoken to customer service to have a manager call me. They told me that they would send Melissa an email and have her call. As of today, I have not received any communication from that office as well as my TAEXX door is still broken. read more

Hugo does a thorough job and is likeable, professional and timely. Much appreciated. We've never had a problem with insects in or around the house. He always makes sure I know he's there and gets right to work. I especially appreciate the fact that he takes an extension brush and brushes the ceiling on my patio, the eaves around the roofline and all around the brick to the entrance of my home. No pesky old spider webs hanging about or wasp nests. I intend to keep this service and not try to do it myself - I know I wouldn't do half as good a job, lol.
