They got the check and cashed it within 6 days of the date we mailed it. This was July of 2024. In Janaury of 2026, they filed a claim in court saying we never paid them and they want to put a claim against our house.....ummm...certified mail and cashed check? So, contract signed in 2021, never completed job and now still harassing us.

Over the winter we had Tabor Homes complete an extensive interior remodel of our beach home in…read moreSurfside. This remodel involved a complete demo of all of the interior walls in the front part of the house and all of the flooring throughout the house. Since the front of the house was built as a summer cottage in the late 50's there was little to no insulation in the exterior walls and the HVAC could never keep it cool in the summer. Front of house was insulated, rewired, new drywall installed, updated kitchen installed, new HVAC system installed and new vinyl plank flow was installed throughout the whole house as well as new paint. The folks at Tabor did a fantastic job and completed the project on time as promised. I highly recommend them for any of your home projects.

On Monday evening, October 7, 2024 I called Scott from Rock Solid Construction of the Carolinas to…read moresee if he could dig a French Drain in the front of my house, plant 45 trees, shrubs and plants and install a weed barrier with 3-4" Carolina rock. I was in a panic because my plants were sitting in the driveway and my landscaper fell through. I met Scott through Lowe's Home Improvement. He came highly recommended by Lowe's and I was desperate. The hurricane in the Gulf could not be ruled out as the another torrential rain event and I had bare dirt which could turn my yard into a mudslide. The damage from Helene had left over 12" of water in my plant bed, just 2 inches below the mulch the builder put in. The plants had rotting roots and the water smelled like sewage. I needed help! I didn't know if he could get to my yard right away but he not only answered the phone late at night but had a capable crew at my door at 8 am the next morning! Juan and his staff worked hard all day and dug the drain. Scott showed up with gravel, the drain, weed barrier and drain box. That afternoon he personally delivered a truck load of the prettiest Carolina Rock I have ever seen! By 5 pm, all in one day! My drain was installed, new planting soil replaced the stinky sour plant bed, the weed barrier was cut and placed, and my plants were all safely placed in the ground! I watched Juan and his staff as they carefully put each one of my carefully chosen and delicate plants were put in the ground! My husband said Juan is an artist and complimented him several times! Then, Scott showed up with his trailer full of beautiful rock and it was generously and carefully installed as to not damage my plants. I am so grateful for the team effort that it took to get my yard from a pile of dirt to a gorgeous yard worthy of a magazine. I don't know what it took for everyone involved to do this so quickly and efficiently! But I can tell you this. No one else will be handling our backyard except Scott and Rock Solid Construction. We plan a 18' x 48' concrete patio, fire pit with Adirondack chairs, a cedar gazebo, outdoor kitchen and plant beds with palm trees and Carolina Rock! I can't wait to see it when it is finished! I have every confidence it will be as beautiful as my front yard, if not even more spectacular! Thank you for everything!! I am so proud! In one day!!! A miracle!
