Had to have the back window replaced in the rear door, they came to the house the first time the technician took 3.5 hours to replace the window in which he had problems with, ended up breaking the window switch and had a nylon brushing fall out, needed to reschedule another appt. Made the second appt where they broke another window switch, had to leave again, three days later went back to the shop after being told my part was in and it wasn't, they called me a week later told me my part was in it should only take ten minutes, it did, got home and the whole door casting wasn't attached to the door and had to return to the shop for the FIFTH TIME, another technician took care of it and very polite but it seemed like forever to get this resolved, the waiting area is a shit show,nasty dirty doesn't offer anything however always looking to sell you wiper blades will I go back, very unlikely and I'll inform my insurance company of what services I received read more

My windshield glass was cracked due to debris flying off of a truck traveling in front of my car on the interstate. I called Safelight and spoke to a customer service rep. The call with the rep was professional and efficient. Unlike so many things today, it literally took only the one call to communicate my need and schedule the appointment. The appointment was scheduled such that the repair would occur at my home 2 days after my call. For the repair, the technician arrived at the early side of my appointment window, which I greatly appreciated. The repair was completed within a couple of hours, with car and driveway left spotless. We scheduled a mobile service fix of our car window, which was shattered and had glass everywhere, so we didn't want to drive to get it fixed. The first available time for a member of the Socastee (Myrtle Beach) location to drive a mile down the road to fix our window was 8a-1p...FIVE DAYS LATER. We waited the five days just to have the employee call out sick the day of the scheduled fix and somehow there was NO OTHER EMPLOYEE WHO COULD DO IT THAT DAY OR FOR NEARLY ANOTHER WEEK AFTER!!! First let me say I use Safelite. I like their service, and never had an experience other than posititve, until recently. I brought a vehicle in from Colorado, gave them the VIN scheduled the install, and then oop's they sent the wrong windshield then, tried to blame Ford for 2 different types of windshields. Only problem with that excuse, is they had the VIN to make sure the correct parts were ordered. The at home experience turned into 83 minutes of waiting at Safelite for them to correct their mistake and subject me to possibly catching the Wuhan while waiting in their cramped quarters. But as a side note for those in SC looking for free glass. It ain't free, and the insurance companies consider it a loss just as if you had an accident. Your premiums will be adjusted read more

Stopped by Safelite and they told me to check with my insurance provider for no out of pocket expense. Sure enough they were correct. Safelite technician Stephen came to my home repaired the chip in in my windshield, so well that my wife couldn't tell where it was damaged and it was on the passenger side. Stephen was professional and kept me in formed as to when he would arrive. Great job, Safelite and Stephen. I would highly recommend Safelite to anyone! read more

Stay away if you have a camera system in your car! Do NOT let them Recalibrate your windshield. They damaged my camera system after recalibration, which was an add on and I declined, yet they did it anyway. and the Nissan dealership said they damaged it during recalibration Now Nissan has to charge me $400 to fix the issue with my 2-year-old car. read more

I would not use Safelite again. I have a small chip in my windshield. We reported the chip to StateFarm on the StateFarm app. I missed the call from Safelite. When I returned the call the Safelite recording said that all scheduling in online. This required the re-entry of all the information given to StateFarm and reentry of the StateFarm insurance information. I have a Safelite claim number, but there is no where to input that number on the website. Very inconvenient. I think I will refile my claim with StateFarm and ask for a different installer. read more

BEWARE this company!!!!' This is the second time Safelite has been insanely difficult to deal with. First several years ago in the Upstate Greenville, SC area and now here in Myrtle Beach. After preregistration and two confirmation emails saying they were ready to do the work, my husband takes the vehicle to them at the scheduled time. Only to be told they have never heard of our insurance company. This after having spoken to someone in person and them inputting the information by hand. Received a confirmation and scheduled the appointment. "They then say, you can pay today nearly $500 and you will probably get a reimbursement from your insurance company." They are a rip off!!! Deal with someone else local. These people are NOT to be trusted. So frustrating and wasted time!!!! Wish I could give negative stars rating!!! read more

This only applies to safelite in general not this installer. When they suggest new wiper blades DO NOT USE THE WIPER BLADES FROM SAFELITE. 2 sets are now on my truck and in a light rain the bounce across my windshield. The service techs In Lebanon Pa and Myrtle Beach Sc were very professional Lebanon replaced them with a set that does the same thing. Myrtle Beach said they would but they will continue to do the same thing, the wiper blades they use are absolutely Junk. read more

Cancelled on me twice, the second time didn't even call me until I had already waited 3 hours for the Safelite guy to show up -- wasted my afternoon. Somehow TWICE my window piece was misplaced, and that's why they cancelled both times on me. Inconvenient and annoying when you're on a serious time constraint. I'm a new safe light customer and set my appointment up through my insurance company for today between 8am-12pm. I received an email stating that they would see me later. 12pm I called to see what happened but was unsuccessful by the front desk, still no one showed up called back again at 3:06pm for the front desk to tell me that the glass for my vehicle was not in and had just arrived. This is poor customer service because I feel like someone could have reached out to me to let me know that the glass for my vehicle was not in, and I would not have taken the day off waiting on them.
