I was in need of a CPAP battery. I called the number to the Flowood Mississippi location of Hometown medical. Tina answered my call and I explained to her what I was in search for. She stated that she was in but which was I closer to. I stated their Flowood was closer. It was then she asked me to please hold the that she would call the Flowood office and see if they had my item in the store. And less than 30 seconds she came back on the phone stating that the Flowood office did have the item I was in search of and she had instructed Anthony at the Flowood office to hold my item until I got there. It was with much thanks that I concluded my call with Tina I drove to the Flowood and upon entering I was greeted so . Warm and friendly. I asked for Anthony explaining that I was the individual that Tina had spoken with. Anthony retrieved the item I was in search of. He showed me how to hook the device up to my CPAP machine. Then he allowed me to hook it up by myself. Then I asked him about other items CPAP and they had those items as well. Anthony and I Went to his office where we were finalizing the purchase of my items. It was there that I met another employee, Kristen. Anthony was calculating the sale, Kristen and I discovered that we some of the same people in the town where I live. My interaction with all of these employees fit the name of a T. Hometown" medical. They are the worst company I've had to deal with. Tell them you don't want auto shipped supplies. They don't care, they ship anyway. They don't even send a detail invoice with price breakdown. Just a bill based on what insurance does not pay. Want to speak to someone on the phone? Nope. If you do manage to get a person to answer the switchboard, they send you to someone's voicemail. If your doctor recommends this place, kindly suggest you will find your own supplier or ask for someone else. Save yourself some headaches. It's hard enough to adjust to a CPAP as it is. I was told by my doctor that my cpap supplies would be ordered, a month or more ago. Hometown Medical Supplies never called me. They don't return calls, so it's almost impossible to speak with someone there. When I did speak with someone he told me he'd order my supplies to be delivered. They never came. Of course trying to get someone to talk to was almost impossible, she tells me they cannot order supplies because I'm not compliant. I'm not compliant because they wouldn't order (or even pick up the phone to call me) and now my machine is not working. And I'm about to leave MS. What are they being paid for? I'll get my supplies out of state! I tried to get my doctor to switch my orders to Blue Dot. Don't waste your time with Hometown Medical! read more

My prescription for a CPAP was sent to Hometown medical. I was contacted shortly after and was told I was to receive a CPAP machine in mid June. I have still not heard from them. I have called them three times since late June and have received no call backs. Their customer service seems non existent and they are either too busy or not concerned. I will be requesting my prescription be transferred to a more capable vendor. read more

They do a great job. My husband has a Bipap machine. The Respiratory Therapist helped him decide on a mask. Later on he wanted to try something else. They were patient and willing to help. Customer service calls to remind us it's time for new supplies. Also, our copay is determined at this time. We've had excellent service with Hometown Medical. read more

Terrible This business is an excellent example of why medical and insurance costs are so high. Even though I was a regular customer they charged $85 to rent a CPAP machine when the one I bought from them died. They quoted me $1,600 for a machine that cost less than $600. I researched online and compared prices. Don't fall for the slick commercials and showroom. read more

We unexpectedly needed medical equipment for my dad who is going through medical issues. Within one day he could no longer walk and needed a wheelchair. We called Hometown to try and find a wheelchair ramp for in front of our home. They had one in stock and brought out to car in an opened box with the ramp. Sold to us $169.04. I explained it might be too short of a ramp, but I would go ahead and buy it to see if it worked. It didn't and I called them same day. We never even tried it with wheel chair. It was obvious once we got it home it was too short. They would not refund the full amount!! I ended up taking a 25% loss. I was never told they do not do full refunds, it wasn't on door or receipt and they could not provide me in writing where this policy was stated. So, instead of returning my 40$, we are buying a higher slant and cheaper ramp, wheel chair and medical bed.... SOMEWHERE ELSE!! read more

Horrible business. I would give them zero stars if that was an option. I was told the product would be covered by Medicare and Insurance then received a bill. If they have to lie to do business, there are issues. Totally unethical. The customer service rep was unhelpful in resolving the issue and on top if they they charged an additional $15 late fee while trying to resolve it. I recommend anyone other than Hometown! read more

My first impression was not good at all. My appointment was at 10:30 I got there at 10:15. I got out of my car went to the door and it was locked. I understand all of the precautions that are being taken in light of COVID-19. The gentleman that came to the door did not greet me as a customer he greeted me as if I was at the wrong building. When he opened the door his first words to me was can I help you. Not good morning how can I help you. I said well, I have an appointment this morning, he said give me your name and I did, he looked around in the parking lot, there were several cars parked in the lot with along with a big white truck. My car which is a black Mercedes Benz was parked I front of the building. He said in some kind of non-impressionable way. Are you driving that car right there. I said yep I'm driving that car right there. I wanted to just forget the visit and go some place else just because of the way he addressed from the beginning.
