You go to their website pull up their menu they list all the prices on their pies call them up the order one and they change the prices example wanted to get the pesto sun-dried tomato with garlic sauce for $18.99 medium call them up and they say oh no it's $16.99 and $3 extra for the pesto sun-dried tomatoes and garlic so now it comes to $19.99 plus $6 and some cents delivery charge which now rounds it up to $25.40 bait and switch he would think they would update their system and not post it on their menu page to when you get blindsided. I would not recommend them you got to watch out for businesses like that.! read more

I was not feeling this pizza. I think it's a me thing. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad. It just wasn't to my taste. I ordered a small pizza with extra cheese, light sauce and pepperoni and I feel like I got some ham pieces or something in there. Just kind of tastes a little off on the meat. I don't eat ham. I really hate it. The cheese, maybe was too much cheese for me, cause it felt very plasticky but there were still a good cheese pull. I'm from out of town and I called for delivery and they told me 45 to 50 minutes and I got here probably in less than half an hour . So I was really pleased about that. I had also ordered garlic cheese bread and I ended up with breadsticks and I ordered some ranch because you have to have a certain amount for delivery which is fine but I didn't end up eating the breadsticks because that's not what I ordered. I did call to see if maybe I have been sent the wrong thing but the person who took my order they just heard me wrong. They offered to refund me if they could and I said I would be fine with that because I wasn't going to eat them, but I wasn't going to complain and take them back because I just didn't need the hassle. I really wanted to like this place because there are so many good reviews but I guess I'm just used to better Pizza and that's fine-if this is the best pizza in the area then this is what you're gonna eat and you're gonna love it . read more

We stopped y this place to grab a late pizza as we rolled in to town for the night. It was ready right when they said about 25 minutes from our call and was delicious! Ordered for pick up on a Wednesday night and was told it would take the standard 20-25 minutes. Arrived at the 25 minute mark and ended up waiting an additional 15-20 minutes. This wouldn't normally bother me so much, except that the longer I waited there the more I started questioning my choice of this place because the kids (teens) working there were seemingly taking advantage of the fact they had no apparent adult supervision. Hometown Pizza looks to be the pizza place in Ely, so here we are for lunch. It's a decent sized restaurant and seems clean and organized. We're seated and get menus. With pizza, it's pretty much standard across most pizza places as to what kind of pizza they have. So we just get a couple of combo types, I left it up to my friends to order. Pizza came out fine and the service was friendly enough. The crust was actually very good, and I ate the whole thing, meaning I liked the crust instead of eating the middle and leaving the crust. We all thought it was a fine lunch and off we go for the rest of our day. We'll be back if we need pizza in Ely again. read more

TLDR: Service sucks, pizza isn't good. Upon entering, we waited a couple of minutes at the front for an employee to finally come out of the back and take our order. There's no menu, just a sign with the sizes you can get. So we assume we will be sat down and given menus, but nope she just stands there silent, no greeting or anything. So we just order a pepperoni pizza. After a while someone brings it out to us but doesn't give us any plates and then disappears into the back so we couldn't ask for any. We eat the incredibly mediocre pizza which we place on napkins. There were at least 4 or 5 employees working that we could see sitting in the back. We came in mid-afternoon on a weekday for lunch. The buffet option for our family of six (4 kids ages 11, 11, 10, and 6 included!) was very affordable, and everyone was able to get something they liked. The person at the front asked what kind of pizzas we'd want and made them fresh for us. I also appreciated seeing her wash her hands about five times just while we were there. Craving some pizza, I saw this place had good ratings and looked like to only pizza joint in town. We a little disappointed in the dining area it wasn't what I was expecting but the pizza was pretty good when it was hot and we ended up taking it back to the hotel but had a piece in the car while it was hot and fresh. We did ask and they do deliver and the staff was friendly. They were pretty easy to get to in the heavy snow and icy roads so overall happy to have a good pizza dinner in town. read more

Wonderful Pizza! Hubster and I just got pizza here after a long 5 hour drive. I got the small Hawaiian and Hubster got the small 6 Meat pizza. Crust is homemade, crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. The sauce (we get light sauce) was very good, no overpowering spices. Cheese and toppings were generous. This was our dinner tonight with enough leftover for breakfast tomorrow! This is a small family run place so be patient after ordering...or order ahead! read more

As far as pizza goes, this was just average. The positives are they have a lot of options and sizes. They do have a small salad bar. The workers are very friendly, but we had a lot of people come with us and so it was a little much for the whole staff. They did really work hard to try to accommodate us as quickly as possible. The wings sauce was good, but the wings themselves could have been crisped longer. The skin was very rubbery the chicken inside, however, was well cooked. My husband wanted pizza and I craved salad so this place was the perfect compromise. The six-meat pizza was delicious, with a crispy crust and a generous amount of toppings. The salad bar offered plenty of choices and everything was fresh and nicely chilled. The staff was all super friendly, and genuinely seemed happy to be working there. For pizza in Ely this place is delicious! We've only eaten pizza here in town one other time and that other place was ridiculously expensive. Hometown pizza offers some great variety of specialty pizzas that are reasonably priced. We ordered two extra large pizzas one which was the Ely special and a pepperoni. We wanted to order chicken fingers but they did not have any on the menu so we ordered chicken wings instead. They had a variety of sauces to choose from and the ranch was very tasty. I would have to say that the chicken wings probably could've been cooked a little bit longer. They were a bit on the soggy side rather than crispy. Our order was more than enough food to feed five adults and two children. We even had leftover pizza for the next day. I did place this order over the phone and the wait was only 30 minutes. They do offer delivery however we opted to go to pick it up. I didn't realize they had a pick up window so I ended up going inside. There are two entrances into the building. I overheard one of the workers telling some walkins that their wait would be at least 50 minutes or more because they were so busy so if you plan on dining in you may want to call first. The inside was not super clean but it was reasonable. When I went to pay for my order they never asked me for my name BM over the phone so they had to find my order. They just took the name off of the caller ID so when I went in I was asking for the order under my name but it happened to be under my husbands. They do take cash or card here and I would highly recommend them if you are in town and craving some pizza. read more
