I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Perry Lee, Virginia Trevino, and the entire team for their unwavering support and dedication. Thank you!

My family was allocated 9 hours per week for my mother's care and 9 hours per week for my father's care. Although both require assistance, my mother needs more support than my father. During the initial assessment, I was informed that the same caregiver would be assigned for all days, with the timesheets reflecting an alternating schedule for my mother and father, however the caregiver would primarily focus on my mother. This arrangement was suggested by PerryLee, not by me. Samya mentioned this during a phone call, and Jada reiterated it on the first day of service. On the first day, a caregiver arrived who did not present a professional appearance, wearing house shoes and displaying tattoos. She explained that her child had misplaced her shoes. Despite being told she had been with the company for 10 years, she revealed that she had recently moved to Texas and this was her first case with the agency. When our regular caregiver was unavailable, a substitute was sent who was not equipped to assist my mother with dementia. After her shift, she informed the agency that she would not return. While I respect her decision, the agency's response was inappropriate. They contacted the Harris County Area Agency on Aging and misrepresented the situation. This experience has led me to question the agency's practices and their suggestion of arrangements that were not initially agreed upon. I advise caution when dealing with this agency and recommend adhering strictly to the agreed terms of service.

DO NOT, AND I MEAN DO NOT use this Home Health Agency for any of your needs. Bio Home cut therapy…read moreoff after 21 days. They do 3-week recertifications instead of 30-day. Bio Home harasses the contract PTA and OTA by calling them and misusing their words. Bio Home won't call the actual PT evaluator and OT evaluator, who set the goals for the patient. When Debra did call the PT, she told the PT evaluator, "Well, we will give you only one more 3-week recert." The Physial Therapist said she has never been told by a home health agency how to do her job, especially when the patient is progressing. Basically, Bio Home does not want to initiate therapy on anyone over 80 years old, and they can't make a profit on it. After one 3-week therapy, Bio Home does not like to submit to Medicare for additional therapies due to the fact that Medicare can audit Bio Home if it suspects any fraud. This home health agency is obviously not running a legit business; why else would you be scared of an audit? The Director of Nursing Leslie makes any excuse possible not to do her job. When she had to come out to teach me how to use the PICC line, she hooked one antibiotic up, never stayed till it finished, nor did she hook the 2nd antibiotic up. She left it to me by verbally telling me how to unhook the line and then connect the following antibiotic and left. I unhooked the first antibiotic wrong. When I went to hook the 2nd one up, I had to call her that night. Finally, I told her that she needs to come out here the next day and show me all the steps in person, not instructing me over the phone. It was her job to stay throughout both antibiotics and flushing the lines on the very first day instead of leaving. I'm not a nurse nor familiar with a PICC line at all!!! The next time I saw Leslie was when she was teaching the nurse how to change the dressings each week. So the nurse would come each week and have to use youtube on her phone to know how to 1) change PICC dressings 2) flush a catheter 3) change an urinal bag on the catheter (not the catheter) 4) take a urine sample And the nurse did not know how to remove a PICC line because another nurse came to do that. When my father needed a new Foley catheter inserted and finally after week of telling the nurse, I called the agency. Leslie tried her darnest not to have to come out - first by telling me that she has to order the catheter and it usually takes a day to get delivered and another day to get it processed in their system, so I might as well go to my father's urologist. Leslie was not expecting that I had an extra catheter with the urinal insertation tray and urinal bag. So then Leslie could not make any more excuses. Even tried to say Dad had been to the urologist the week before. I had to correct her and tell her that Dad had not. I had only dropped a urine sample off, not a physical visit. Guess what? Leslie had to come out and show the nurse how to insert a Foley catheter. I guess that was easier than having the nurse use youtube. When Leslie was leaving that day, she saw my PTA arriving, so she unprofessionally approached him and asked him if Debra had called. He said Leslie knew very well that Debra had called and basically harassed him, and he's contract and not the PT, which is whom they should have called. Director of Nursing Leslie told the PTA in my front yard that "You need to prepare the daughter that her father is getting discharged from physical therapy because she doesn't seem to know that Bio Home is discharging from therapy." Well, how unethical and unprofessional can you get as a Director of Nursing? Basically, they won't tell me why but want the therapists to do their jobs. My PTA said He has never been approached by a home health agency like this before in the 15 years that he has be working in the field, nor has he had a home health agency twist his words when he was asked straight out Will this man ever walk without use of a cane or walker? PTA said 'Well, no, he needs a walker or cane - Debra cut him off on the phone and said "You said No. Okay. We are discharging him from physical therapy." Everyone said GET RID OF BIO HOME. They are one of the worst home health agencies. I only chose them because I had to make a quick decision on an infusion therapy home health agency due to the PICC line that my father only had for 2 weeks. When I refused to have their nurse come out, just so she could charge Medicare for taking vitals, because that's all she did, Bio Home called the primary physician on January 30 and threatened that they will have to discharge my father if their nurse cannot come visit (for vitals) What a lucrative way to make a profit!!! Cut the therapy but keep sending a nurse so you can charge for her to take vitals or watch youtube videos. BIO HOME PULLED ALL THIS CRAP OVER TWO WEEKS DURING CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS, AND MY DAD'S CHRISTMAS EVE BIRTHDAY. I discharged January 30 from them. This is the worst home health agency in Houston. DO NOT USE THEM

I have been caring for my 96 year old mother (with dementia) in my home for several years now and I can honestly say that I would not have been able to walk this journey had it not been for the help of the wonderful people at Touching Hearts at Home. Not only have I gotten so many tips and support from these folks, they have bent over backwards to provide us with caregivers so that my husband and I can continue to go to church, go to choir, and have "date" nights. These loving folks provide overnight care as well so we are able to take short vacations and visit friends and family (two of my children live out of state). Every caregiver treats my mom as though she was their own. It is such a wonderful feeling to know you are leaving your mother in such capable hands. To all those that are trying to figure out how to care for their elderly parent(s), I highly recommend that you contact these fine people. They have truly been lifesavers for me.
