Calm. Clean. Crystal clear. I'm describing this park and the water that stretches throughout the land it's situated on. Very peaceful. You can go fishing near the water or just reflect upon life. I hope you do enough reflections and meditation - maybe this park will inspire you to do just that. I love visiting this quiet and tucked away park in the winter and spring seasons. Bring your friends, doggie pals and family. You don't hear too much traffic noise, especially as you continue to wander far off into the grass. There are a few unique trees and birds here as well. At the front of the entrance you'll find a cosy yet large pavilion for holding gatherings and picnics. There's a small section of the park that's closed off for now (near the memorial obelisk). Other than that, there's plenty of concrete to stretch your legs and take a walk upon. Keep moving. That's always the goal. You'll find that here.

I've been to this park a few times now and its always nice. In the past, we have had meetings with my work team which is really lovely to switch things up and have some variety in the day. I am not sure how long the trail is, but there are always people out walking. Nice pavilion area, plenty of parking, restrooms, and benches to sit and chill on. Definitely recommend checking this park out!

Nice open park to exercise. Large memorial for 4 branches: army, navy, air force and coast guards. Dirt trails loop with bathroom facilities. Ample parking lot. Great to enjoy a late afternoon walk on a weekday as it wasn't crowded.

Yesterday was my first visit to this beautiful park and let me just begin with why have I not visited here sooner. First of all the people are just so kind and so welcoming I met friends there in a runners group and now I think I will become a runner that's how awesome it was here! You really just can't beat the big beautiful outdoors with good company and look at that sunset, truly a beautiful spot they even have a cute little stream and a nice playground. A great location I can't wait to go back!

After visiting for the first time, I believe this is my favorite Sugar Land public park for walking. It was not crowded during weekdays. The trail around a small lake was wide with scattered benches. Couple of emergency kiosks were placed along the trail also. Cell phone signal was strong. Bathrooms, kiddie playground, and picnic tables were available. Parking was plentiful. I don't mind returning for more walking.

There is actually alligators in the park we seen one and snakes too. People go fishing canoeing. People love having parties at the gazebo there. There is a dog park on the other side. There's more bugs on that side during the summer months . There is always someone there working out like classes by the gazebo by the dog parks. People are not too friendly but it's cool but there not mean either. Lot of people go to fly kits on their miniature hill. There is gravel opposed to paved trail so it's more endurance. When I leave my calves are burning and rocks are In my shoes if there too big.

Nice lake and monument. My daughter and I enjoyed the playground and dog park. The bathrooms and bbq areas were clean. Great location, near US59.

This is a kinda a hard review for me, as I was here for the SnowDrop Ultra 55 Hour Race and Relay that was held here from December 30th through January 1st. But there's so much going through my head seeing these men and women complete 100 miles to raise money for pediatric cancer that it's hard to put into words. The amazing push and dedication and drive of these athletes was amazing to see. The park is really nice, and unfortunately since this event isn't that big yet, there's plenty of parking, but I can see the parking getting to be an issue if/when the event grows. They have an awesome 3/4 mile walking track that I would love to try out someday as it's a nice gravel path. Sadly, it has been raining like crazy the days before and the track was muddy and full of puddles. The awesome parks department worked their butts off along with the some of the volunteers to put down more dirt and gravel to help get the track in better shape. And while it never really dried out, by the end it was a nice gravel track again with just mud. They have a nice pavilion and a water fountain, and decent bathrooms, although they are park bathrooms and open at the top. But since we were out there for three days and camping (ugh), it was awesome to have actual toilets to use. They did have porta potties on the course to use as well, though. And not once did they run out of toilet paper....I thought that was pretty freaking awesome! They have a dog park and a really nice mountain bike trail as well, but we pretty much stuck to the track with the ultra runners because of the mud. This is a really great park, although a bit of a drive from Clear Lake (take the beltway, trust me...so much quicker!). I would definitely come here again for a run, and know that there's a great place to run or hang out and enjoy!

I have been taking advantage of the nice fall weather and coming to this park for some walks/runs from time to time. I think they should have named it Grasshopper Park instead since I have come across tons of grasshoppers jumping about, or maybe it's just grasshopper season? I did see some laying eggs on the ground. I make sure to be cautious when running as to not step on them; sometimes one will surprise you and jump in front of you out of the blue. I find it to be a solitary trail most of the time, but I enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a doggy park here too. My boyfriend and I will bring the dogs for some play time and they really enjoy it. The dog park is divided so you can take separate the little dogs from the big dogs if you so choose or have both. There is also a playground area for the kiddos and a covered area with picnic tables where I have seen several social gatherings. I'm really curious to check out the bike trail area, and will be purchasing a mountain bike to do so soon.

Part of the issue is that the official maps and what's on google maps is very incomplete. There are a lot of other paths that aren't on the map that just kind of appear. If you don't cross over any bridges, you'll be inside the official part of the park and worst case, you just circle back around, but if you do go over that Crossover bridge, you'll be treated to some nice hiking, but there is no other way to circle back around because the 2nd bridge will put you in the "uncharted" part of the park and take you to the Pumpkin Lakes and you will have to come back the same way you came. This is kind of a shame and hopefully in time, they'll add another pedestrian bridge near Red Gully Lookout, but hey, you're there to walk so this is a way to walk more! For some reason, even though this is right next to an airport and a large suburban neighborhood, the GPS keeps going wonky too so don't count on that too much. This was my first visit with some other people who had never visited the park so I think we all became experts in the park and won't get turned around next time but a few extra signs wouldn't have hurt to help newcomers.

Once we were tired of playing in the sun, we ran across one of the open field areas to the tree covered playscapes. They were covered in pollen but still fun to play in (good thing we all took our allergy medicine cause we were all yellow once we were done with the slides!!) Lots of climbing choices and slide choices from short to long, straight to curly, and wavy and even parallel bars that I think you slide down on? My adult sister did it so it could work? Lol! Great hidden gem of a park!! I love that there is so much green space around the play area and no open roads so I don't have to worry about my kids running into traffic. It is also close to shopping centers so we could pop over after a trip to the park for refreshments, some A/C, or to run an errand or two. If you have not been here yet, please visit! It is totally worth the visit!

It is located to some baseball fields so sometimes the area will have lots of cars parked on the street during the games. The location has a private parking lot so it's never an issue to find an open spot. Going in the interior is pretty nice and clean for the most part. The only part that I found wasn't as clean was the bathroom. Honestly, its a gym, I didn't expect to much from that. The gym area is split into two basketball courts (full court-sized). The facility changes the layout of the gym to fit the different activities that people will take part in onsite. I've gone to play table tennis and basketball so I can offer insights on what takes place during those two sports. 1. Table Tennis: There are 5 tables and generally will all be in use. However, most of the time there wouldn't be too much of a wait time if at all. Generally people will just play doubles if there are too many people. Plus, people come and go, so it's not a big issue. 2. Basketball- When both courts are in use. They split it into two different sides. One side will have a full-court game going on. The other will have 3 baskets down and can potentially have three cramped half-court games going on. During these times the place is PACKED. This is especially so during holidays when lots of the schools are out on holiday. Bonus: I would definitely recommend checking the activity schedule before you go. It wouldn't be fun to show up expecting to play something when it's something else set up in the gym. They offer physical calendars on-site or you can just look it up on their website. Membership fees for individuals who are from Sugar Land is $10 for the whole year! Pretty amazing. I believe for those who are not from SL, it is currently $40 for the whole year which isn't a bad deal either honestly.
