No fancy décor, no overdone plating--just honest, soul-warming food the way abuelita would make it. We ordered a few pupusas revueltas and they were thick, cheesy, and crispy at the edges--just how you want 'em. Each bite was loaded with flavor, and they didn't skimp on the fillings either (respectfully, some of y'all out there are serving tortillas with trust issues). The curtido came bagged up and packed with crunch and tang--exactly what you need to cut through that melted cheese goodness. Prices are humble, portions are generous, and while it may be a small spot, the flavors are huge. Whether you're a pupusa purist or just learning what curtido even is--this little cafeteria deserves a big spot on your food map. Bonus points: you'll leave full, happy, and maybe even planning your return trip before you've finished your last bite.

Our drinks tonight was white sangria which was prepared differently but was actually quite good. Our appetizer was a shrimp ceviche was was mouth watering delicious. Our main course was called a Tropicoqueta Tabla which was a piece of skirt steak and shrimp on top of avocado sauce. Finally a skirt steak cooked to perfection. Everything on this plate was worth repeating. Besides having a great DJ, the Latin Grill has mini shows which were entertaining. Since we arrived and to closing, they had a total of 6 shows. I preferred the star of the night to be the DJs which were doing an awesome job. The Latin Grill easily scores a 4.5 rating.

It was so loud that our party couldn't hear each other, and we could barely hear our server. Dining out should be enjoyable, not a struggle to have a conversation. Second, the service was extremely poor. The host refused to allow us to bring in my birthday balloons, claiming it wasn't allowed. Ironically, there was another party with a large balloon display visible throughout the restaurant. The inconsistency made no sense. Our server was difficult to find. Once the food was delivered, he essentially disappeared. I understand Saturdays are busy, but we were a large party and needed basic things like water refills and occasional check-ins. Instead, we were left waiting repeatedly. The biggest disappointment was the birthday celebration itself. We informed the staff multiple times that it was my birthday. We watched other tables receive recognition, yet nothing happened for us. When my cake finally arrived, it took over 10 minutes, and nobody brought plates or utensils. I eventually had to walk to the bar and get them myself. Overall, the restaurant feels disorganized, understaffed, and far too loud. Great food can only make up for so much. Unfortunately, my birthday experience was frustrating rather than memorable. I won't be returning, and neither will the nine guests who came with me. That's my honest experience.
