Very comfortable when you walk in and out by the docks, only problem is your hair always in your face haha So we had an awesome server Brandon, he forgot my chowder BUT no bigger of course and he brought me a bowl to make up for it. I ordered a cup so sweet. I love a server who you can vibe with and we just can smile while doing so. He should get a promotion We started with the three cheese dip, VERY good. I thought Bahama Breeze was another cheap place with bar food and spotty service, but was definitely proven wrong. Four adults and 3 youngsters came in for dinner without reservations and were quickly seated at a nice table. Service was very good and our waitress did well keeping us all happy, even the young ones. Its a really nice place with a large bar and high cielings. Our orders came out quickly and perfect. We were well resuplied with drinks. As we were celebrating 2 of the young folks birthdays, we brought our own cupcakes - no problem! Our waitress brought us extra plates and candles. First time at Bahama Breeze! It's a close drive from the airport and was very crowded on a Saturday dinner but we only waited 15 mins for a table. At 6pm they have a live music playing so it gets even louder. The tables are very close to each other. The parking lot is huge which is a plus. The waitress was very nice and refilled our waters! We split the coconut fried shrimp which was all right. The sauce wasn't good so I just ate it without any sauce. I got the jerk mahi mahi as my man dish and it was really good! We're sad to see Bahama Breeze leave this area! We had to pay one last visit - we had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon, there was live music which is always nice. It was also national margarita day and the classic margaritas were $2.22 - a great deal! My husband had the honey butter chicken sandwich - he really enjoyed it. With our whole team in Tampa and staying within walking distance at the Westin, this was an easy choice for a gathering. They arranged the rear dining room, set up an open bar and a table with finger foods. More than 50 of us crowded into here, drinking, eating and socializing. The venue is nice. Both visits were during the week of the Stadium Series, so yes, this was thoroughly field-tested under real-world conditions. Haven't been to this Bahama Breeze in forever and I feel like it was still pretty good. I was looking for a place for a small bite, good drinks, great view, & easy free parking on the way to Clearwater Beach. This was it. We wanted inside seating and they sat us at the perfect table with the best of both worlds - A/C and great water view. We still felt like a tourist here. Our server was enthusiastic and friendly. Flew into Tampa and met my friend here for dinner. The location is amazing. With great views of the bay and great live music. The service was ok. The food was good. Bahama Breeze was walking distance from HIE. They had an extensive bar area - so I didn't feel weird eating solo. They had a small $6 margarita menu. I tried the dragon fruit and the coconut. I booked a reservation on Open Table for Bahama Breeze. My daughter and I needed a little tropical escape. We were seated in a comfortable booth inside and ordered a Pain Killer and a Bahamarita to drink. There were so many great sounding dishes on the menu, and we wound up ordering dinner from the 2 for $25 menu. My daughter got the Grilled Chicken with Cilantro-Crema and I ordered the Stuffed Plantain Bowl. I was originally thinking about getting the Rasta Pasta. I do not eat seafood but our server said that it could be made without the shrimp. This is great to know as I may try it next time. We both really enjoyed our drinks and dinner choices, and found them both to be very filling. My plantain bowl was so unique and was a delicious dish full of flavor. I absolutely love plantains! I ended up at Bahama Breeze in Tampa two nights in a row while I was in town for work because my hotel restaurant was under renovation -- and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. The first night I had a business dinner with my boss. We ordered the seafood paella, mahi mahi, and the jerk chicken wings. The wings were some of the best I've had -- not overly spicy, just packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. I ordered the mahi mahi and really enjoyed it; the fish was cooked just right, and the rice and cherry tomatoes complemented it really well. My boss loved the paella. For dessert, we shared the key lime pie and the flaming pineapple butter cake. The butter cake was fantastic and was the perfect way to end the meal. Service the first night was excellent -- Chris took great care of us and made the whole dinner experience smooth and enjoyable. The second night I went back just for a drink and dessert and sat at the bar. Brian was bartending, and the service was just as good. Great conversation, excellent drinks, and a fun, relaxed atmosphere. I ended up meeting some new people at the bar and really enjoyed the social hour. I also ordered the key lime pie again -- it was that good. Overall, the food was great, the service was excellent both nights, and the atmosphere was exactly what I needed after long workdays. Came in for the 2 for $25 Dinner special running now til November and this special did not disappoint. I wish their were more options than just 4 meals but for $25 two meals you can't go wrong! I ordered the tropical salad and it was light and refreshing. I usually get the tostada salad and this was very similar just with fruit instead. I like this location because it's on the water but with the wind blowing like crazy we did sit inside. I feel like the lighting could be brighter indoors it was a little dim to read the menu. When we first got there we for sure thought there was going to be a wait but to our surprise they had room for all 8 of us inside and we were sat within minutes. I got the cilantro lime chicken. It says that it's a small portion but it was the perfect portion if you'd ask me. I could've ate more but shouldn't . Passing through Tampa during my international travels; I dined out at Bahama Breeze. I ordered the speciality drink RITA Flight which consists of three miniature Margaritas (Classic, Dragon Fruit and Cocorita). They all looked different but tasted the same (Nasty). I asked the waiter for a Heineken (can't go wrong with that I thought). The waiter advised that there were no more. Okay , well let me have a classic margarita. The color of it was a ghost white and a couple of sips made me so sick it ruined my entire trip. The Server had a poor attitude, the drinks were terrible, and there is not one thing Bahamas about the place. In closing, I feel that if a person is not willing to serve people from all walks of life (race, color, creed, etc.) should go into a profession where he doesn't have to deal with people period!!! The rating is more for the oysters and not the service or atmosphere. First let me say for $18.99 per half dozen these were very upsetting. The size was very small and they served us more on some plates I'm guessing for that reason. The raw oysters had a significant amount of shells cracked on the oysters making it difficult to enjoy. Rockefeller was mostly spinach and sauce still had a good flavor but too much for my taste Garlic Butter was just that garlic and butter maybe if they charbroiled them it would have a butter taste Lastly, Jerk! I knew when I saw it I should've passed but anyway it's just like anything else that has jerk in the title. Jerk sauce just brush on the tops and baked for a couple minutes. Then came 6 of the smallest raw oysters I've ever seen. Was tempted to send them back. They're approx 3 bucks each. So not worth the money. Coconut shrimp appy was crunchy with a great dip. The tuna tango salad had some kind of jerk seasoning on the tuna. There was nothing on the menu about this overpowering jerk seasoning. Salad was fine, tuna was a disappointment.
