I chose his bid although it was higher than another one because his ideas made more sense for a better long lasting product that's very important to a house. Building a new fence seemed a better option than rebuilding the old one. Everything was done beyond my expectations, a slight problem with the fence was quickly repaired. Because he did such a great job, I decided on my own to hire him directly without bothering with other bids due to working with him as well as the quality of his work. He really wants to be proud of the final product for his customers and his sense of workmanship and integrity. This time he put pavers instead of cement along the side of my house, an area outside my basement, several steps alongside two gardens for veggies or flowers as I eventually will decide. Then on the top of this is another area for pavers and a walkway to my side door. Added some mulch around some trees to prepare for plants when I find time to finish this lovely backyard. There's still a decent amount of grass remaining and I plan to have his company finish to the side and front of my house later this year. Highly recommend!

To completely ghost me and not even respond after agreeing to do the project is some of the most unprofessional behavior I've ever encountered. If he doesn't want to do my project, fine. Just be a decent human and tell me. Now I am several weeks behind on my project. Please save yourself weeks of headache and choose a different company!

Our driveway and a 5-foot tall retaining wall between our driveway and front yard were severely…read moredamaged and on the verge of collapse. We hired A-1 Stone to remove the concrete driveway and retaining wall, and then to rebuild the driveway with pavers and the retaining wall with concrete blocks. Additionally, proper drainage was installed behind the retaining wall. The work was performed by the company's owner, Paul Singh, along with two of his employees. Remarkably, A-1 Stone completed all the work in just three days, and the results are excellent. Everything looks great, and Paul and his team were a pleasure to work with. I would definitely consider contracting them again. I do have two (minor) recommendations for A-1 Stone to improve: Website Improvement: The company's website is somewhat lacking. It's difficult to see examples of their work or to assess their experience with specific types of projects. A portfolio showcasing past work would be very beneficial. Product Variety: The selection of colors and products they offered was rather limited. Other companies provided brochures featuring a range of stone colors and types, while A-1 Stone only offered a single option for our retaining wall: grey concrete blocks. Overall, it was a relief to work with A-1 Stone. They completed the job efficiently with great results, and there were no hassles or problems. Furthermore, both Paul and his employees spoke English, which made communication much easier, especially since many contractors employ workers who only speak Spanish or Portuguese.

Everyone was nice to work with and they are professionals at their jobs. Our landscape project involved completely deconstructing our existing yard, resurfacing it to reduce a sloped hill and adding large boulders, lovely plantings, sod and a flagstone entry path. They also added a gravel path and patio area to be covered in flagstone in the future. The transformation of our yard feels like a completely different space. Seattle Eastside Pavers installed pavers in our backyard in September 2023. We paid extra to have…read moresealant put in between to pavers to make sure that we don't have weeds growing there. This was primarily the reason why we paid to have the pavers done. 1 year in and there are weeds already growing in between the tiles. There are visible gaps in between the tiles where the sealant should have been applied. It looks like the sealant work was not done well (check pictures). There are a couple of loose tiles as well, near the entrance of the backyard, which just points to shoddy work. Communication has also been pretty poor. I don't hear back about any questions or messages that I send until I email back again asking for an update. Did nature create gaps in the tiles where the sealant should be? Is nature the reason for the poor communication? As a business you select what providers and materials you will work with. Its not the responsibility of the customer to get in contact with the suppliers you are using for doing the work you are paid for.
