Honest is a great place to get some amazing Indian street food in the Mooresville/Cary area! And an absolute plethora of veggie options to choose from, as well as specific diet options such as a Jain diet or Swaminariyan diet, everything is clearly labeled on their menu. They have a bunch of different options such as dosas, Manchurian, noodles, Indochinese foods, soups and various other items! I personally love their sandwiches, this time I went they had a new item on their menu called a singham dosa and it was filled with essentially a paneer Tikka masala and veggies, covered with amul cheese which is India's most popular cheese. It was amazing! I love their chutneys as well, and I tried their bhakhri pizza which is basically a flatbread pizza it was okay, a bit too much cheese. Service is quick, they have a tab system at the register so you can order as you please and they keep water jugs on the table as well as utensils and napkins so you dont have to keep asking for things and you know it's also clean! Love this place!

I'm going to update my review to add a few items I didn't review in my previous posts. It's my 6th time here and the portion size isn't abysmal anymore. The Bhaji Pav has a size bowl (rectangular) which seems a little more consistent coming out. The katappa sandwich was superb, both chaats were delicious and the bhakri pizza was also a solid. I agree with the previous reviewer that the flavor profile on the bhakri pizza is lacking, the sauce needs a bit more masala and the pizza needs a little salt. Issue is that amul cheese is sightly lower on the saltiness and if you order anything Indochinese, you won't taste the salt in the pizza at all. Rava dosa is a showstopper especially when you get the onion chilli with the masala add-on at the $1.99 upcharge. I like the friendliness of the owners and generally get the vibe that the folks love to do what they are doing.

I was really excited for this franchise after having tried it out in New Jersey. Pav bhaji holds a special place in my heart so I was excited that RTP will finally have a reliable spot for this Mumbai delicacy. We went here on the opening day for dine in and then did a pizza take out that weekend. There was a line of Customers and the place was full, meaning the Honest name had created enough buzz! Pav bhaji was good but the quantity was lesser than other Honest franchises. Pav was soft and I liked the bhaji taste. My husband liked this dahi puri plate as well. Veggie sandwich bread was super dry (either bread was left in open or stale) and veggies were minimal. I believe the price to value ratio is a little off as quantities don't do justice to the cost of dishes, especially sandwich and chaat. My biggest disappointment was the pizza takeout order. The cost was $11 ish with taxes but the takeout bag plus box weighed more than the pizza itself! The veggies were bare minimum on a small bread with cheese only half melted. It looked randomly put together. I was thoroughly disappointed. During our visit the staff was courteous! I hope they work on the quality of their food and the adjust the cost to reflect quantities or vice versa; this place really has potential based on the franchise if they take their food more seriously!

Love how they maintain cleanliness. The food is authentic and amazing. The entire staff is very attentive. Each entrée was more than one serving size. We will be back to try out other things on the menu.

We did take outs a few times, and we loved the food every single time. One of the best Indian vegetarian restaurants around.

Came across Honest exploring different places in the area while visiting my friend in Morrisville. We didn't have to waste time looking for parking, plenty of parking spaces were available. We got there around 6:30pm on a Sunday evening. They were quite busy but the staff was quick and friendly therefore we got a table a short while. The ambiance was good and the restaurant was clean. Hubby and I decided to get the chef's special "Schezwan Paneer Dosa" and the Chinese Bhel (spicy) my daughter had the vegetable grill sandwich. All items were spectacular and on the spot for the spice level which is very important to us. All the items came hot and fresh. I personally enjoyed the mango lassi and the masala chaas which was perfect kick to my taste buds!! You can count on this place for the value of food, quality and price. Next time when we are back, I will 100% come back again. Ps - not sure why there are negative reviews on this place. Fail to understand... will definitely recommend as a must visit place!

The decor was beautiful and peaceful. Fresh flowers, art work, large booths and small tables. Plenty of space and quiet. The outdoor dining area looked great too. The food was outstanding. I particularly loved the pomegranate stew (Fessen Joon) on basmati rice with saffron. Such a rich and flavorful sauce. When I asked the owner how to make it, she told me it cooks for 7 hours. I also enjoyed the very fresh salad with delicious homemade dill dressing. Wish I could have taken home a bottle of it. The highlight for my husband and I was meeting the warm and wonderful owner, Laxmi. She came out to chat after dinner and when we told her we were celebrating our anniversary, she brought us a piece of their freshly made walnut dark chocolate cake, which was fabulous. Reminded me of my favorite lava cake. You must try this place for lunch or dinner. You will be eager to return. Thank you Laxmi. It was such a pleasure to talk to you and enjoy your delicious food.

The menu includes a few options with tempeh but is mostly vegetable based, and is not full of artificial fake meats or weird fusion stuff. Ordering a sprout salad was a good decision. I was worried the nuts would be excessive but it was a reasonable amount, and the dressing and finely shaved vegetables made for a light experience. My vegetable stew came with some aromatic rice, and a satisfying flavor mix. Ordering tea was a good idea as well; almost everything in this cuisine seems to be lime-flavored. The overall portion size for price was not overly favorable. The location is near the hospital system and in an area with dicey parking, it does have its own parking spots outside and in an adjoining garage.

"Delightful vegan restaurant on Crabtree Blvd in Raleigh"…read more I'd heard of this for years and was happy to finally give it a try on a Saturday for lunch ~1:30pm. The restaurant is a bit set off from a strip mall, and has a small outdoor seating area. The inside has high ceilings and is airy, and is nicely decorated (I also enjoyed the "sci-fi themed" wallpaper in one restroom stall). We were greeted quickly and given a table right away. The specials on the wall sounded amazing-- it was hard to believe they were all vegan with burgers, bbq, "chicken", and more on there. We opted for simple-- the special cantaloupe soup for an appetizer and burgers (impossible) for lunch. Mine came with chips, and my girlfriend's came with mac and cheese. Food came out in maybe 15 minutes. The cantaloupe soup was AMAZING... perfect for a summer day... super refreshing and tasty. The cheeseburgers were good too-- well dressed with an aioli, if I remember right, as well as fresh lettuce, tomatoes, etc. I appreciated that I didn't have to pop a lactase, too, since all vegan! The chips I think were store-made and were absolutely tasty-- we got a lot too and snacked off them for the next few days. And my girlfriend liked the mac and cheese. Service was friendly throughout, and cups were refilled. And I felt the prices were reasonable for what we got. Overall, I'd DEFINITELY come back and am eager to try some of their fake meat dishes like the BBQ.

Cornmeal battered mushrooms- good portion size, delicious and a hit. Mess of collards- large portion, didnt see any bacon at all and the apple cider vinegar element was strong. Onions could have been chopped smaller. Meatloaf plate- very flavorful, the smoked local potatoes were a star too. It came with more collards Southern plate- this plate was a disappointing flop. Popcorn chkn (fried seitan) lacked salt and any flavor in the batter but the vessel had potential. Mashed potatoes were a little cold and also no flavor or salt. Coleslaw needed any flavor. Sauteed vegetables were plenty but again, zero salt or seasoning coming through. The hushpuppies had potential just needed to be a little smaller or a different shape to be balanced. Drinks: Flower and Flame- just a tad heavy handed on the smoke spritz G and Tea- this was delicious and I switched to this after tasting my wife's. Cardamom, mint and lemon make this refreshing!

Lunch with Mom at @elementgastropub Downtown Raleigh, NC…read more My mom supporting me, means everything to me!!! We ordered the Sweet Chili Sauce wings with house ranch for our appetizer! Mom loved those! I ordered the Carolina BBQ Sandwich which was smoked vegan BBQ tossed in hybrid eastern- Western style sauce (whatever that means lol), creamy coleslaw on a Brioche bun with a side Kale Caesar Salad. Mom ordered the Philly Cheese steak which was chopped seitan "steak", marinated mushrooms, house made cheese, peppers, onions served on a soft hoagie roll. It also came with my favorite chips by Caroline Kettle chips @carolinakettle! So, glad they support local! Mom didn't really care for the cheese steak. I tried it as well & it wasn't my favorite. But, we had an amazing time for lunch on this beautiful day! oh, & I also had a Carolina Mule! Which was I want to try their brunch the next time I go back home to visit! #VeganLunch #LunchWithMom #Element #Gastropub #RaleighNC

"Vegan faux meat dishes near the Raleigh Convention Center"…read more Stopped here on the Saturday of GalaxyCon in July at 5pm. There are a lot of outdoor tables with umbrellas, but we opted for the interior. The interior was a bit dark but still comfortable, especially near the windows. We got to pick our table and were given menus promptly. I went for the faux Philly cheesesteak and a side salad with Bleu cheese. My girlfriend got the western nodeo burger and a side salad with ranch. Service was good- there was a little confusion about our order and what table we were at, but they were apologetic about it. And we still got our food within 20 minutes and regularly were offered drink refills. My food was fine. The vegan Bleu cheese dressing was quite runny and tasted ok but not nearly as good as the real thing. Honestly, I felt the same about the cheesesteak. The faux meat was oddly rubbery, and the cheese was just ok. It also wasn't very large. In contrast, my girlfriend's dishes were excellent- the ranch dressing was epic and the burger was super tasty. Warning- it was hot, especially the jalapeños. But delicious. If I went back, I'd get her order for sure. Price was pretty good especially for the burger- most entrees were in the $15-20 range, but did not come with sides. Overall, a good vegan option near the convention center and Marriott hotel.

My husband and I went on a late Saturday afternoon and we were seated immediately. We shared the Fido's Fries as an appetizer and I got the Chili Cheese Dogs as my entree. The Fido's Fries were beer battered fries, topped with cheese, bacon (we got the pork option but they have soy), scallions, & sour cream (on the side). The fries were absolutely delicious! I loved my chili cheese dogs as well. It was a very generous portion because it was two dogs and a ton of frickles. As a dog lover, I adored all of the dog art & statues around the place. The menu is even dog themed. I mean they call appetizers kibbles & bits. That could not be any cuter! There is indoor seating (with a bar) and outdoor seating. As you can probably already tell, the restaurant is dog friendly (with their outdoor area). They even have a dog friendly menu (called puppy meals). Service was superb!
