The closest place to find bubble tea close to midtown as far as I know. The place is cute and the sofas are comfortable. The store can be easily missed and there are not that much parking. I used to love honey bubble..... But that was before it was discovered by anyone else and the company couldn't figure out how to handle more than 2 orders at a time. My husband and I placed our order and it looked like there were 10 drinks max ahead of us.... Since then I have been waiting OVER 40 minutes and still nothing. One of the employees even left the counter and wandered around wiping off very clean looking tables leaving them a person down making drinks. This is the epitome of inefficiency and extremely disappointing. They need to fix their "processes"- 3 employees handling each ticket at least 3 times and constantly moving thugs around... But not getting a drink finished. I appreciate having a customized order and don't mind waiting a little extra for quality.... But This was terrible and I don't plan to come here again. Unless they can guarantee a shorter wait time (I don't think 15 minutes is unreasonable?) Note- by the time I got my drinks, it'd been almost 50 minutes. Guess I'm the idiot for waiting. In Northern Virginia, "bubble tea" is really smoothie with dry hard tapioca, so when I first came to Honey Bubble in Atlanta, I was appalled that I was fooled for so long but grateful that I finally learned. This review saddens and angers me all at once... I have been coming to Honey Bubble for at least 5yrs and the night before last I left my wallet in the womens bathroom at closing time and there were only the closers and myself remining to leave for the night *two girls and two guys. I realized I had forgotten it on the hand dryer once I got home but they were closed. I then reached out to the owners Doug Hines and Mei Lynn and still no response from them. Still... I went there yesterday morning and arrived before the opener and waited then her and I walked in.. NO wallet. She called the owners and informed them of what happened and I gave her my phone number and followed up with a call later in the evening.No wallet... I have spoken to quite a few team members and some shift sups but still no contact from the owner OR a wallet. This brings about a few feelings... I am truly saddened and hurt by the types of individuals that would steal someones hard earned money and important medication and not care how it effects that persons life or their livelihood, I am also disappointed and hurt that an esablishment where I have frequented, promoted and supported for years (I mean I notice when they rearrange the furniture I loved this place that much) that those very people that I supported with my hard earned money wouldnt even care enough to reach out and at least say "Sorry this happened" especially if they are not assisting with investigating what actually happened to my belongings.. still.. this surely makes me think me think twice as to where I will spend my money in the future.. My favorite is unsweetened ginger green tea with aloe and lychee jelly. Everything there is delicious though.

Everything I have had there is above average, so I have no problem with the tea. The problem: three out of the five times that I have been there they were out of tapioca. One of the times that I got tapioca I had to wait fifteen minutes to get it. If you keep running out I suggest that you make more or you will start to loose customers. I have been to other bubble tea places that do much more business and have never experienced a tapioca shortage. read more

I went in today with my boyfriend. We both ordered and both requested soy milk as we we are both lactose intolerant and vegan. The cashier even repeated it back to us, so I can say with confidence we were not misheard. We get home, and it turns out we were definitely given actual milk instead of soy milk. As an establishment that offers so many different options to accommodate for such preferences, you'd think they'd actually take care to make sure they get such things right, but apparently not. The customer service here leaves much to be desired. When she asked what type of milk I wanted I asked if they had skim (otherwise I would have just gone with whatever they gave me). She said yes and continued on with my order. When I received it I I could tell something was definitely off, so I asked if it was lactose free or skim. I was met with a blank stare, until finally she tried to argue with me that they are the same thing... So I politely said this was not what I intended to order and I would have rather just had the whole milk, and I don't mind paying for a new one. She did provide a new one free of charge, but it was awkward and full of attitude, seeing as she wouldn't even respond when I thanked her. I will not be returning. read more

I love the bubble tea here, and the pastries are great, but sometimes the service is just terrible. I came in this evening and it took half an hour to get my drink. There were five people behind the counter and it seemed like none of them knew what was going on. I've been in on evenings where it's been just as busy and it's taken less than half the time to get my drink, so I don't know what was going on. read more

I LOVE the signature royal milk tea! They have pastries and macaroons as well. I used to come in a lot but unfortunately haven't been lately. The only thing I would change is that I wish they opened up at 8 so I could come before work, but I'm sure there's a good reason why they don't. I love milk teas, and was eager upon moving to Atlanta to find a place to get my fix. Honey Bubble is excellent. My mom ordered the signature Royal Milk Tea, which was delicious, not too sweet but still sweet enough to satisfy a craving. I ordered the lavender green tea milk tea and it was great. The green tea was prepared perfectly and wasn't even a little bit bitter, and the lavender was lovely and fresh, leaving a really nice (though not overwhelmingly strong aftertaste). We also sampled their Thai iced tea, which I usually enjoy, and found theirs to be equal to if not better than the best tea I've gotten elsewhere. Service was great, the young woman helping us was very friendly and attentive and prepared our teas quickly. The environment is adorable, with lots of seating, and the whole store smells of freshly brewed black tea. Prices were definitely reasonable, especially considering that the teas are freshly prepared and you can choose your sweetener and milk. We will absolutely be returning (I have to try their macarons), and I have a feeling that Honey Bubble will quickly become a guilty pleasure for me in Atlanta! read more

The first time I went to this place it was great. The second time I went, I did not like the way the tea was prepared, and the staff did not accommodate me. In fact they were rude to the point where I swore I would never go to this place again and nor would I take anyone else. If you don't like what they give you you're stuck with it, the customer is a victim at this place. You're better off at Starbucks. read more

I never liked bubble tea until I tried out this place. AMAZING. I recommend the signature honey bubble tea or the honey jasmine with a black tea base, whole milk, and tapioca pearls. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 is because one time an employee recommended getting coffee jelly instead of tapioca and it tasted awful...but as long as you stick to the tapioca this place is great. The ambiance is similar to that of a coffee shop (free wifi!), so this place is great for studying as well. read more

I had to check this place out specially after seeing all it's great reviews and of course because I love boba tea. The place is adorable... I love the cafe/lounge vibe but I was not impressed with my drink. I have had my fair share of boba tea from all over the world and I have never had one prepared quite like this. I ordered a jasmine tea with soy milk and pearls. The pearls were on the bottom as they should be the tea was there above while my milk sat on top. The milk was not shaken into my tea but was sitting on top like a cold, hard layer. I found this to be very odd as I have never been served a boba tea that looked this way. Clearly no consistency here. I did feel as though my tea was a little old too. It had that aftertaste you get from tea that has been in the fridge for a couple days to long. I took one sip and threw it away. I'm giving this place 2 stars only because I really enjoyed the setup here without that it would only get one. I'm a sucker for second chances so I'll probable return to see if they will do me better the second time around. read more

My daughter and I tried this place for the first time on yesterday. We were blown away by the massive amount of choices in tea's. We been lovers of Bubble tea's for several years now but there's not too many places around Atlanta that have it available. We kept out order relatively simple this first time. I had their signature honey bubble tea with the tapioca pearls while my daughter had the salted caramel - both were devine. If you don't like tapioca, try the aloe vera or the coffee bubbles. Their prices were very reasonable and their customer service was great. What we were disappointed in was the amounts of bakery items. Perhaps we hit it at the wrong time of the day(mid afternoon). They did have some macaroons and some cinnemon sticks but that was it, they didn't have most of the items listed under their bakery menu. No big deal since we went there for the bubble tea anyway. The one complaint I have is they have very limited parking. Part of this could be due to the fact that many of the customers that were already there, appear to have been there for hours, just socializing or doing homework(think Starbucks). I suppose there may be parking on the side street but I'm not sure. The area is known to be a bit sketchy so parking elsewhere might be risky. read more

I have visited Honey Bubble three times now. It is a fairly new place and the first two times I enjoyed the tea. However, I did have one time where I waited about 10 minutes for my tea!! The third visit I made was yesterday and unfortunately it will be my LAST! The large bubble tea used to be $4, which I already thought was high, but yesterday when I paid it was $4.99. I just handed over a five dollar bill expecting one dollar back, but when I got only a penny back I was shocked! I asked if there was an extra charge for something and the girl told me their prices just went up. She mumbled something about the cost of rent there or something being high so they increased their prices. I do NOT think this was the right thing to do for a new business to jack up their prices to cover their @$% and then potentially lose customers in the process. Very sad...I won't be returning to fork over $5 for a bubble tea...! Very disappointing. read more

This is by far the best bubble tea in the city. The Signature Royal bubble tea is delicious. Its not too sweet, as most bubble tea I've tasted are. Its not as much of a secret anymore - my hidden gem has been discovered by the rest of Atlanta. On one hand, I like that they're doing well, but on the other hand, its pretty packed on a regular basis. From the beginning I was agitated. Firstly, no parking space maybe 10 cars at most. Also very crowded indoors. Then they had no coconut snowcap slushie. So I ordered a second choice the Japanese Wedding cake flavored snowcap slushie. They were out of that too. Finally decided just to do Thai Mango with aloe Vera jelly cause I didn't care at this point, I just wanted something cold in this heat. My wife ordered the Asian pear snowcap slushie. Now the real deal is the taste. To put it plainly, way too sweet! As if mango by itself isn't sweet enough? I couldn't even get through 1/4 a large size without my stomach starting to feel nauseated cause of the sweetness. The Asian pear has a chemical taste to it that reminded me of a kind of cleaner solution they used in my hospital. Probably just me though. My wife kept telling me her tongue felt tingly every time she bit into the aloe Vera jelly which made me think she was allergic to it but nothing came more from it by the end of the afternoon so it must just be something else. Either way, too much suspicion in these drinks just from these two choices alone. The only thing I liked about it was the short distance it was when I left from the Atlanta Zoo, but if you ask me now, I won't be putting my money here again. I'd rather drive a little further out to my favorite boba tea place that I know makes quality drinks that's not pumped full of sugar/syrup. This place is adorable, without literally being too cute. I love coming here to catch up with friends, or catch up on some work/study. There's a meeting room in the back which is great for small business or group meetings. The prices are fair. The options are unlimited, but you kind of have to know what you like before ordering since there's so much to decide as far as size, tapioca pearls, kind of milk, flavor, green tea, black tea, etc. But the aesthetic is amazing, as well as the music they play. If I could place a lower grade for this place I absolutely would. What an absolutely horrendous staff. I have been to this location multiple times before but will never be back again after this experience. The gentleman whom I asked about their pastries was not only condescending but was not even paying attention to my question. After he told me that the flavoring of the cupcakes he rolled his eyes and asked if I wanted one or not. I asked what kind of the frosting and he said he wasn't sure yet didn't ask the rest of his staff. Before purchasing the cupcake I made sure that the frosting was not buttercream to which he said there was not. When I tasted the buttercream I immediately took the cupcake back to see if I could exchange it to which the absolutely rude "manager" said "we don't do that". She also said that their manager was not there so there was nothing she should do even though the rest of the staff said she was the manager. Not only was a treated with absolute disrespect, it is so disgraceful how such a group works here. This occurred Sunday around 7pm and outside of the guy who rang me up, who was actually trying to help the situation the rest of the staff was absolutely horrendous. read more

I'm new to Atlanta, and I have to say this is one of my favorite stops now! Staff are great, the tea and products are top notch. I love that it is not too sweet and they use natural, real ingredients. This place blows Sweet Hut out of the water (too sickeningly sweet and fake tasting sugar/ingredients) in terms of service, quality and products! Add eco-friendly practices and interior, plus a relaxed coffee-house vibe and this goes in my top 5 faves in Atlanta so far. Truly a gem. Having just come back from taiwan, this all just tasted like the basic, factory pre-made boba shop with a few questionable practices. The tea always tasted off and had some kind of artificial flavor and the boba had the consistency of wet balls of paper towels. On top of this, I had to wait over 30 minutes to receive my grossly overpriced bubble tea while there was no AC. I'm sure 100% of the products sold in this store come either frozen or powdered and stored for inappropriate amounts of time. read more

I've had a lot of bubble tea, and I've had it from many different places. Folks, this truly is about as good as it gets. The bubbles/boba are made very well (which is usually the issue around at Atlanta), and the teas themselves are also quite tasty. Definitely recommended, even for boba fanatics :) read more
