This cute pier and platform beach house style decor with surrounding light warm colors and friendly workers will definitely help sniff your way around the store without feeling guilty or pressured into buying anything. Candles: The candles themselves are great! They have a well balanced fragrance that is subtle but not too weak and true to their word, the candles burned for approximately 60+ hours. So far, I burned about 20-25 hours and it's still going on strong with a little under half-way. Story Time: Although I come in here with the intension of just browsing without buying, the effort into each artwork that was shown on the candle drew me into sniffing every-single candle! These handmade beauties also has a simple design on the containers that gave a unique name (Cinque Terre Trek, Deep Sea Dive, Dune Tour, Hawaiian Punch, etc,.) that actually very closely resembles the scent itself. Each of these candles are a representation of their time within a specific part of the world and to recreate that adventure they captured it into a form of a scent... FU#*@(% genius! And yes, the name of each candle truly represents scent in which it gives off!!!!!! Fair caveat ... traveling constantly due to work led me into many hotel bathrooms which in turn, most of these candles seem to represent. IE: Smells like the Hilton, Four Seasons, Hyatt, Lux, Christina's bathroom (that was a trip...) :p So, if you're in Provincetown, don't forget to take in the beach scenery, enjoy the food and like their sign says out-front, take the time to stop into Scents of Adventure and 'sniff around'!

The shop itself is simple and serene, decorated in neutrals with a pretty chandelier in the window. The sweet girl at the counter greeted me and explained that there are five major scents, each one based on one of the towns in the Vineyard. It was such a cute concept! I wandered around and checked out each of the fragrances. There are only a handful of products for each fragrance, plus some men's products (aftershave and a moisturizer). They also have some gorgeous pre-made gift baskets that would make a great hostess or bridal shower gift. I settled on the Tisbury fragrance, which was subtle and sweet and reminded me of the smell of fresh cut grass and the mornings spent walking to Morning Glory Farm. The Edgartown scent was a close second, with grapefruit undertones. I selected a combination package of shower gel and body lotion, which was priced at $40. They also offered body butters, a body scrub, and scented candles. The company has a website, but it won't be offering the products for purchase online until later this summer. I am absolutely thrilled I stumbled upon this shop so that I could bring a little reminder of vacation home with me!
