We had the rehearsal dinner here for my daughter and new son-in-law and the venue garden room was perfect for our size. We had about 50 guests. Although I didn't book the venue myself for this event, I had looked at it previously as an option for the bridal shower, so I'm glad the grooms family chose to have the rehearsal dinner here. I have been wanting to check out Honey Locust Farms for a while. Since it was such a nice day, I ventured out to grab a coffee and check out their nursery. Upon entering their cafe/ gift shop, I noticed they had a Stranger Things Theme. There were a few families that were enjoying the large sitting area with couches, tables and table games. They really spent a long time crafting this theme and I really enjoyed all of the themed touches. I ordered a "Plain Jane" ice coffee which was delicious. You could see small pieces of graham cracker that added a good flavor. They had some baked goods available in addition to soda. They also offered a coffee flight which is something I would order if I was spending time with friends. There was one barista which did a great job keeping up with orders and communicating with customers. Next, I ventured out to check out their event space. They had an indoor event space with a shaded outdoor space right next to it with a bar area as well. After checking out the event space I looked at their flower, herbs and small cactuses outside the cafe. They had a small selection but good quality plants for a modest price. I also checked out their selection of pots and various plants outside the event space in additional to looking at their selection of trees and shrubs. Honey Locust would be a place I'd come to get coffee with friends as well as watch for any events they might have with the community. The theming they do in the coffee shop is fun and definitely worth coming to check out with your friends or family. All age levels would enjoy time here. read more

Absolutely gorgeous! This is a wedding and event venue, plant nursery, and cafe all in one. It's in far Rockwall (kind of in the middle of nowhere) but in my opinion a hidden gem like this is worth the drive. I got to visit during their Harry Potter pop up with butter beer coffee options and delicious pastries. Beautiful venue! No doubt. My wife loved the aesthetic of their venue. However it is ridiculously hot in their green house venue. So if you are interested in renting make sure you rent the venue with central air which is attached to their coffee house. The ladies are very nice and accommodating. So I would recommend you renting this space just be aware that the greenhouse gets really hot so maybe in the fall it's better but definitely not in May - September. read more

This re ire is based on attending a special event held at their greenhouse and courtyard only and not as a customer to their coffee shop (which btw is so pretty clean and well decorated) Beautiful venue! No doubt. from April - through the End of May maybe even through the first week of June for the rental of the greenhouse and courtyard. 5 stars for the atmosphere aesthetic and decor 5 Stars for the service attitude and friendliness of staff 3 stars for the parking (it's not paved it's gravel and it was uneven in some areas making it tuff to navigate with heels. 2 stars for not having great signage and for the location. In real estate location location location. It is in the middle of nowhere if you are not from this area. 45 minutes from Dallas Frisco and Plano area. But I also understand that it might not seem like a long haul for many but I live in a small town and that's a lot of driving one way for me. Plus there is a lot of construction as you drive through Lake Ray Huber and service road bc they are expanding the highway (30E) 1 star for the greenhouse not having central air it's Texas in the middle of the summer every venue needs and should be a requirement for central air. I melted and got over heated. Thank goodness for the Coffee shop that does have central air. I did see that there is a smaller space for rental that is fully air conditioned and is attached to the coffee shop which is beautifully decorated and aesthetically pleasing to the eye but it is a lot smaller that the venue with the greenhouse and courtyard. Over all I am giving it a 3 stars. Otherwise without this brutal Texas heat I would have giving this place a 5 star but il from out of state and it was ridiculously too hot. read more

What a hidden gem!! If you're looking for a cozy, peaceful spot with AMAZING coffee, this is it. The pistachio cream iced coffee is absolutely incredible - easily my favorite drink in Rockwall!! The shop itself is gorgeous, and one of the coolest things is literally everything you see if for sale! The staff is always warm, welcoming, and makes every visit enjoyable! They also have a wonderful selection of candles that I lose my money to every time. One thing that could use work is the bakery selection. Not a huge fan of the strawberry shortcake cookie. But honestly, the coffee and overall experience more than makes up for it! I recommend this to every one I meet! Five stars without a doubt! read more

Love this place. Have been here several times for various plants and a class. Each time the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Their prices are awesome even if they don't quite have as much as the bigger nurseries in the area; I still prefer to shop here. They also put on a lot of fun classes. We did one for Mother's Day and had a blast. Light apps and drinks were included in the class price too. Definitely check this place out. read more

We hosted a baby shower here, and it was a wonderful experience. The Honey Locust team was easy to work with and made sure our event was exactly as we wanted! Everything was handled professionally and our event went off without a hitch! I purchased 9 Waxleaf Ligustrum plants from Honey Locust Farms on 4/11/23...However they didn't have 9 and I'm so mad at myself for my ignorance. The staff was very attentive until today and I agreed to take 2 of what I was told were the same plant just needed a little extra love. I put trust into their employee, since I am by no means a plant identification expert. The plants have been planted and are being nurtured in my yard and I have noticed that they are different plants- 7 are waxleaf and the 2 that needed love are different. I called today to see if we could come up with a solution...I want to bring the 2 different shrubs back and get the correct replacements. The first women I spoke to was very nice and said she would look to see if they had replacements and would call me back. The phone call I received back was very different. The lady that sold me the plants called and argued with me about them being the same but that they were a different variety...that would mean they are different, correct? I said I was happy to send a picture and was not looking to cause any problems. Then the "manager" Sarah jumped on the phone with a very divisive tone and said they cannot return any plants...especially ones that have been planted. I asked her again why, when it would seem like a minimal cost to keep a happy returning customer, and she said it's just their policy. When I questioned their customer service, the trust I put into them as a nursery and that I would like them to make it right she said they wouldn't make it right. When I asked to speak to her manager she said she is her manager, that the owner isn't available. I then questioned what was wrong with people these days being held accountable and having kindness she proceeded to say they have great customer service and then hung up on me. It saddens my heart that I wasn't trying to be difficult, or even accusatory at first. I just wanted to fix my hedge I worked so hard to plant. Maybe think twice before you purchase or use Honey Locust Farms for anything. Honey Locust Farms has come up with a solution. the owner and his daughters have been helpful moving forward. read more

I pass by here everyday. It's just beautiful in passing. I have been a few times and they are great! I got my mom a rose bush and some cute stuff in the in the store. Everything is great quality. I don't have a green thumb, but visiting this place makes me want to try. :) read more
