a row of jars of honey

Outstanding Honey !!! I just found this place and feel so lucky. Honey Pacifica produces some of the best honey I've ever had. I bought the 4 pound sampler pack and I'm very pleased with my purchase. It does cost a little more than the honey at Trader Joe's, but I feel it's worth it. Plus I love supporting local businesses and these folks are only a short 20 minute drive away. Check them out, you won't "bee" disappointed.

So I LOVE honey but have never tried filtered honey. The reason I wanted to try was because I want to support local business and be able to assist in keeping honey bees thriving. I went online and found this local business and figured I try it. Omg the honey is soooooo tasty better than filtered honey!

My honey pantry shelf. Try Honey Pacifica Buckwheat in coffee - so yummy!

I have a large collection of honeys. Most of them I use in a raw uncooked preparation (I.e. cheese plate, dressings). As my more economic everyday honey for jar-to-mouth, cooking and baking purposes, Honey Pacifica is it. It's a trusted name in the raw honey world. There are so many brands on the shelves today some of which are questionable. I heard about Honey Pacifica years ago when a chef friend told me that Wolfgang Puck only sourced his raw honey from this small producer. Naturally I went out and bought some. I've been buying a variety of their honeys ever since. You can find them at WholeFoods in the honey section (this is where I purchase), directly from their website and storefront in Long Beach, Ca, and at many of SoCal farmers markets. I use the Buckwheat honey regularly and for all you self proclaimed coffee aficionados out there skip to the following paragraph now...'cause I love their buckwheat honey in coffee with some cream on the weekends! Love the flavor it produces and the types of sweetness it lends. Typically flavored honeys don't interest me but I've found their Creamy Lemon Honey to be so versatile and delicious. I mix this into Fage 0% Fat Free Greek yogurt....it's better than anything you'll find on the shelves for flavored yogurts. It makes a great sweetened mint iced tea, dressing for salad (olive oil, oregano white balsamic vinegar, creamy lemon honey), and various smoothies. The lemony flavor shines through best in a non-cooked application Also I love their Avocado honey. Like wines, honey producers have good years and bad years affected by Mother Nature. 4 or 5 years ago they had an unbelievable batch of Avocado honey which is how I fell in love with it in the first place. I still actually have one jar left from that years harvest. My prized honey possession! However, I recently purchase a couple new jars of their avocado honey with the darkest color I've ever seen for avocado honey...haven't tried it yet. On their website you can purchase some of their honeys in a 6 or 12 pound quantity. You can save a lot by purchasing these in large sizes. When baking I try to substitute most recipes that call for granulated sugars with honey. For baking the rule of thumb is: use 3/4 cup honey for every 1 cup of white sugar. Also reduce other liquids in the recipe by 1/2 cup for every 1 cup of honey added. Decrease oven temp by 25 degrees. For the most part this works but it always depends on what your expectations are for the final results. Regardless, honey adds a lot of moisture to baked goods so reducing your liquid within a recipe is necessary.

Lately my allergies have been getting all worked up, with this crazy Southern CA weather we have been having. I have read online how good raw honey is for you, and so my search began. I bought my Coastal California Wildflower Honey from Lazy Acres Market, on Bellflower, in Long Beach. This honey is peppered with little brown bits, what I think may be the comb, and it is so thick. I spread some on a piece of toast and it was the best honey I have ever had! It is sweet, rich and so creamy. I can't wait to try all of the other honeys that Honey Pacifica has to offer, especially the avocado one. Right now at Lazy Acres, this honey is 30% off! Go and stock up!!!

Discovered this place hunting for beeswax and I love the quality of it. I plan on returning to try their other products that they have for sale. The place was a bit confusing to find but if you're in a room with mailboxes and a door that is split into two you're in the right place. Just ring or knock and someone will be there to help you shortly.

I love how close this place is too. I decided to ditch the store bought milk in plastic containers & go for glass & have been putting off coming here until I noticed that store bought milk started clumping & smelling weird well withing the "best buy" date and only a couple days after purchasing. I also started noticing clumping by the neck of the plastic jugs and finally had enough. I grabbed my youngest this morning & headed on over. It really is drive up, we parked right in front and hopped out. I should have taken more pictures but I was excited to get to see the selection & the old school milk man truck!!! Thats soo dope. [The only other place I've seen a part of history like that is at Happy Day Preschool because they have(had) a fire truck from the 40s on site.] Anyways. Yeah its a bit more expensive than the cheap plastic container store brand milk, but I got a gallon (2 half gallons) of regular whole milk & a pint of chocolate for right under 20 bucks. Thats still HELLA reasonable. And this was my first time so I was paying for the glass containers too. So you're telling me, no micro plastics, real milk for UNDER 20 bucks? Maaaaaaaaaannnn. Im hella beating myself up for not coming sooner. This milk even smells different. I tossed the rest of this other milk out. From now on we are a Broguiere family. I will be back.

Their chocolate milk is amazing. It's creamy and not too sweet. CASH ONLY. You can recycle the…read morebottles when you come back. Friendly service. Only issue is location and traffic. There is railroad in the street so sometime you can get stuck.
