One my favorite farmers market!! This is a good size farmers market and has everything to offer! Parking is easy in the structure across. Hasi bread was amazing! The raw honey is delicious. I also tried brothers products which had a large variety of hummus and yogurts. Their products actually give you a larger size for the same price compared to mother's products. The guy was very friendly and offered at least 10 different samples. The strawberries here were 3 baskets for $10 and super sweet! So much fun and amazing variety of vendors!

It's always nice to have a community farmers market which has ample parking, various vendors and comparable $. They have sweets that are gluten free in addition to all the other good stuff offered from breads to yogurts. I noticed their mixed berries are cheaper than Cerritos farmers market but you might want to keep an eye out on prices.... per lb $ amounts can add up fast when buying fruits etc. Vendors vary from time to time but regulars remain.

Every Saturday I would visit this market before my move to Phoenix & im so happy to see all of my farmers, they missed me so I got so many free treats EBT is accepted so stop settling for cheap stores and find you a local farmers market bc what you feed your family is what's kills or heals them! Look for Evelyn she has probiotic yogurts.

Nice mix of about 30 vendors, some prepared food ( crepes, tamales, empanadas) a couple of juice places, several honey vendors. Flowers and eggs and oddly enough several "healing crystals " vendors. Nothing fancy but everyone super friendly. Cute touch to have a tent section with tablecloth covered tables to enjoy your meals. Parking: SO easy. Free parking structure right across the street.

We come for the "Egg lady." We have been buying her eggs for like 6 years. Best eggs you will ever have. Yolks are orange. She even has Duck eggs, my favorite- sometimes. Otherwise, we enjoy the other vendors who offer seasonal fruits and vegetables. Another tip, for food: the Pupusa guy is decent and the empanda guy is also worth trying.

Love this farmer market. It's very small but it's not overwhelming. You can everything here from honey, organic fruits, veggies, juices, and good food. Their fruits are very delicious and have very good figs during the summer. I also enjoy that they're right next to Porto's right after picking up cake I come here to explore and buy for the week. Definitely worth a visit and has everything a farmers market needs

Nice variety and mix of items! I got a few bandanas for my pups from @mission_d.o.g.g.y, some pita chips + hummus from Mom's, and some fresh fruit and veggies.

The Downey Farmer's Market while small in vendor turnout still provides an assortment of homegrown, fresh goods & other items. My hubby & I strolled through it a year ago. I remember there being a few more vendors, I think, but this may be contingent upon the time of year. This past Saturday (9/6/14) my hubby, our two baby girls, my mom, & I decided to check it out once again. I hope that if any of the vendors ever read this - thank you! We appreciate your getting up early on what is probably a day off for you to stand out in the heat & promote your fresh baked goods, farm fresh veggies & eggs, savory fruits, sweet honey, fragrant flowers, and more. My mom bought a pack of almonds and other mixed nuts from Sweet Patty's booth. She also purchased some fig French yogurt, a small salad, & some hummus from another booth out of Glendale. I bought a small bottle of honey ($6.50) from a Downey couple. Of the 3 samples of honey, I really liked the wildflower honey the best. It rivals my favorite mountain wildflower honey brand from Durango, CO, where I used to live. I was so happy to see so many samples at the booths. My favorites to sample were the teas & the fruits (oranges & apples mainly). Not only is it nice to support these people and their small businesses, but it's also nice to get out and talk to them. We also encountered the Downey Symphony Orchestra. A nice lady described some of the upcoming opera & symphony events then gave us a brochure. I was hoping more of the local organizations of this nature would have a similar booth set up. Wells Fargo & Bank of America for sure have nearby outdoor ATMs nearby. I know there is Citibank & US Bank & a couple of smaller banks close, but I am not certain if their ATMs are easily accessible, so bring cash if you visit. Review #278

The 2016 YELP 500, Review #029: Enjoyed my time at the farmer's market today. The true highlight was meeting David who works at the Underground Farms booth (I bought tomatoes, peppers, zucchini and broccoli) and the amazing drinks found at a booth called Pupusas Asalvadoreñas (Thank you Merry for serving me even though I know you were closing up).

    Best strawberries !!!

They have the best stuff. Affordable prices for organic products. New items this time around and the vendors are very friendly always willing to help you out. If you haven't been here you must come and check it out! Bring cash not all vendors take debit/atm cards.

Love the variety of flowers they carry. Prices are reasonable.

Nice area but it's small. Spaces are a little tight. Lots of vendors and I even found the vendor who carries the yogurt that I enjoy.

Just go all the way to the back and you'll find plenty of spots. As we walked in, we saw a super long line for the variety of meat being sold at Buy Ranch Direct. Large varieties of Asian vegetables were available at many stalls and I spotted some of the same vegetable vendors from the Long Beach Farmers Market. We loved the variety of food vendors and stopped for some freshly cut and fried Belgian Fries with Garlic Aioli. Perfectly crispy with a super garlicky and delicious aioli. We sampled the Galbi from the Meatbox which was so tender. We wanted to purchase some meat from their freezer section, but it was too hot out to keep in the car for an extended amount of time. They also have a brick and mortar store in Fullerton. Overall, this Farmers Market is spacious enough not to feel crowded. I would definitely come back. One thing I found odd was that there was no place to sit to eat. No benches and no tables. Everyone was sitting on a curb.

I think the La Palma drive address listed in Yelp might be outdated unless there's also one still going on at that location in an alternate universe/timeline. When I came there were a few food vendors and a few produce vendors set up right in the parking lot to the east of the building and I could see the tents from a distance. I opted for pupusas and ate them in a little outdoor dining area right near the booths. The tables have umbrellas to keep you protected from the hot sun so that's a nice touch. The door leading into the building next to the dining area is also open so you have access to bathrooms if you need them. Parking - there are lots of parking spaces around... the farmers market wasn't crowded at all. It is a rather small farmers market so most likely you wouldn't spend too much time here.

I go to Farmer's Markets for produce, not the food vendors or other items such as pastries,…read morelotions, etc. For that reason, I am saying this is just an OK Farmer's market in the edge of Costa Mesa bordering Fountain Valley. In years past, this was quite a lively place with several product vendors. In the last coupe of years, it's very tiny. For me, I love plums, peaches, nectarines in the summer. Once in a while, there is a good singer guitar player entertaining the small crowd. It's a decent alternative if you can't go to the Thursday Farmer's Market at the Fairgrounds which is closed during the OC County fair from mid July to mid August. Price for the produce was #3.50 a lb. for the fruits this time but subject to change (increase). I don't remember if it was Organic, but I always soak my purchased fruit in baking soda and water for 30 minutes just in case there are pesticide residues to very dirty hands before I eat it. They also have vegetables, a honey vendor, and some food. Just an OK experience for me. Parking is easy until he surrounding stores open.

This FM happens every Saturday from 9am to 2pm. In comparison to other markets in the area, SoCo is on the smaller side. They offer all the major necessities: seasonal fruit, veggies, fresh juices, breads, hummus, and other dips. There's also a variety of local business owners selling handmade items like jewelry, fashion, and pottery pieces. I snagged a variety of beverages from 1987 Juices for a healthy start to my week, as well as strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries from the produce stand. Couldn't think of a better way to spend my Saturday and a haul of goodies always gets me excited for the upcoming week.
