Beautiful golf course! Everything was plush. Tees, fairways, greens - all in great shape. Looking forward to play there again!

Matt has worked with most, if not all, of the leading junior golfers in our area. I sought Matt's advice over three years ago to work on my own golf game. Over the past 30+ years, I have had countless golf lessons from all sorts of teachers. Every teacher had his/her own 'fix.' However, nothing worked long-term until I met Matt. Matt is a phenomenal teacher. At his indoor training facility, Matt uses advanced video swing analysis, biometric feedback tools (K-Vest) and other evaluation tools (Blast Motion) to usher golf instruction into the 21st Century. TUBING EXPERIENCE REVIEW We finally learned we had to drive…read moreback up to the pro shop to pay. Upon doing so I learned that all the emails back and forth for a group reservation were pointless because they weren't given a name anyway. Our group just assumed we were to go to the bus next to the tube building since there were no signs or greetings from the employees lingering around. We loaded the bus figuring that was what to do. There was an employee and a driver and neither said a word to us. None of has have gone tuning before. I finally asked where we were going. The answer was "the creek". Once parked we weren't given any information. We had a handicapped person with us and the place they dropped us was literally a steep muddy slope under a bridge. A couple people started to panic about just getting in this water with no clue what to expect. The kid finally told us that there was an exit sign as we were all already in the water that was flowing some away! That was it. No other information! The float was great. Many shallow parts and lots of wildlife. Now that I know what to expect I'd do it again for the $20 and then giving a bus ride and cooler. Do NOT come if you are disabled. Maybe they could find a flat entry spot for people who cant do a slope into a muddy uneven ditch. The fact that the whole thing was done basically in silence was bizarre and a little scary.

The leader of the camp program is a senior with low enthusiasm for managing the lessons for kids. His helpers are teens with not much experience golfing or managing children. A better idea is paying a skilled golfer hourly for private lessons rather than wasting your money on this train wreck experience.

I signed up for four weeks of beginner golf lessons and had a pretty cool experience!…read more It was a bit challenging for me to figure out a day of the week where I would have no schedule conflicts for a consecutive 4 weeks. The vision is that each class builds upon past lessons and also introduces you to a new skill (putting, chipping, driving etc) Enrolling during the summer definitely meant that we experienced some scorching hot temps, but surprisingly there are little pockets of shade out there that would somehow make things bearable. My instructor was Phil who I tended to vibe with (probably because I grew up with coaches and can follow instruction.) He's pretty direct and could sometimes come off a little impatient, but if you understand his personality it's harmless and actually funny. Ultimately, he wants you to learn and enjoy the game and is very supportive when he witnesses your progress. It was nice to be able to stay after lessons sometimes just to hit at the range and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. If you're on the fence about lessons, I can attest that Play DCGolf is a great place to start!

Just finished up the classes, and feel really good about the value, and the things we learned in this beginners class. My class had four students including myself, and we learned all the basics - putting, using all the clubs, the different swings, golf course etiquette, and the basics to playing a game. We had enough instruction time, and alone time to practice in our own bays. Not needing clubs was a plus, as I hadn't committed to getting some at this point. They have disinfected loaners available to you if you need. The golf course/ driving range is nice, the instructor was a great instructor, and the classes were well structured. Thinking about taking the level 2 at some point! Highly recommend.

Recently open in Bel Air Md, this was my second time here…read more Located in the festival center, strip mall across parking lot from Kohls Friday 1p: $60/hr. CONCEPT: indoor. Bay. Plays like "bowling". Choose course or driving range. Swing into a screen. Take turns. Some putting If it's two of you, and you know how to work the machines, and you play ready w club in hand, you can maybe get 18in, in a little over 2hrs. But, just like the real thing, that's dependent on how well you play. No "walking/riding" from hole to hole, some "gimme" putts, and a triple bogey limit (some times bogey limit), reduces the usual 3.5- 4hr18 hole round. But if you are also just having fun and chatting and eating and drinking and get stuck on how to work the machine, time can fly by. 3 of us did only 5 holes in 1hr 15min, then just two of us finished the last 13holes in the final 45minutes, but admittedly rushed the last two holes. So $60(ea) for a round of golf INSIDE out of the elements isn't too bad. But can get pricey when you add in food and beer You will likely NOT get 18 in with 3 (avg or below players) in two hours Budget for each person paying for an hour, and an hour per person if you want to complete a full round (And you don't spend too much time pondering too long on what you did right/wrong or looking at your stats) Or...stick to nine holes and just have fun. My first time there were 6 of us, took 3hrs to do 9 holes but we had SOOOO much fun! Drinking and laughin and trying to stay out of the water! (Or trying to hit IN the water...I forget...we were drinking) Pros: plenty of parking. Bays are really cool: lots of virtual legit courses to choose from. And stats displayed to track your game Staff has been awesome, both times. Plenty of TVs Neutral: same sex bathrooms. Suggestion: like tee times on a course, they should give 5-10 minutes between each "hour booked" to cycle to the next group. If a group books 1-2p and takes their last swing at 2p, and there's a 2-3p booking right behind them, the second group will NOT start at 2p, and will get short changed by at least 5min to let the first group pack up and get out the way. Plus getting settled, learning how to run the machine, and entering your info...the 2nd group MIGHT get 45min playtime, of the 60min booked Not sure if the bays are on a timer like they do at 2nd Swing, but that would aid in "kicking people off". I was cognizant of the people behind us needing to start on time, BUT that also made me feel rushed. The staff made sure we knew when we were at 30/20/15min out and I made sure we ended at the very last minute. CONS: the food was not good Not necessarily the staff/cooks fault. It's just basic"bagged frozen cheap appetizers dropped in a deep fryer and served as-is". No seasoning, basic dip, and not appetizing at all ADVISE you eat before you get there $12/appetizers that are not good gets pricey. And there is nothing healthy on the current menu Overall I thoroughly enjoyed myself both times. Definitely will return, and bring friends!

Walked in around 4:20 for my 4:30-5:30 "(Indoor) Performance Studio lesson"…read more I was welcomed by Kelly King ( with whom I had the lesson with ) with a big smile and a handshake which always gives a good first impression. Since I was a little early and there was junior classes going on , I was told to take a seat until my time started. The seating area had full view of the facilities , water available and a TV where a golf tournament was on. For the ten minutes I was seated , I was watching Steve WenPetren coach the junior class that was going on . He seemed very engaged with each of the kids during practice and seemed supportive while also providing advice. Now onto my lesson. It was undoubtedly 100% the best hour I have ever spent on my golf swing ever. We used the TrackMan to measure swing characteristics and swing data . Within minutes , Kelly had me hitting straighter , further and more consistent with my pitching wedge, all backed up by hard data/numbers. We moved onto putting , pitching , driving and full iron shots , all within the hour. He helped me engage parts of my body to help my golf swing that not only looked better on camera but I can see with the swing data myself. I was also given some tips to take to the range and putting green to improve my game outside of lessons. I was semi-doubtful of how much I could change in an hour, but I was proved wrong and I will be back in the future. I was given an email with the data of almost every shot I hit ( including a couple of videos ). 100% would recommend. Thanks Kelly !
