Dude at the desk was a head. He charged me for a adult price as a minor. Never gave me a chance reason with him.

What a joke. Do not show up here expecting 18 holes of golf. It's advertised completely wrong. Disappointed is an understatement

Driving range is very, very bad. The balls are old and hard. They damaged many of my clubs!

Over the last two years, I've truly evolved into a golfer, hitting the course almost every day…read more Golf has been a part of my life for a long time; back in my childhood, I used to mow people's lawns for money just to buy golf clubs at the Goodwill in my hometown. I grew up watching legends like Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus on TV with my grandpop. Having already worked with two different instructors as an adult, I was really just looking for a refresher to get back on track. I decided to try Dolphin Highlands Golf Course. Unfortunately, I missed my first appointment, but the staff was great about it and gave me some free range balls to make up for it. However, the environment was a bit distracting--it was hard to understand how people focus there with planes from the Middletown Airport flying overhead the entire time. When I finally made it to my second lesson, I met my coach 1-on-1. Tim is highly knowledgeable, clearly knows his stuff, and has been in the game for a long time. That said, during our session, he focused heavily on how PGA legends hit the ball, constantly referencing players like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and Arnold Palmer. Personally, I prefer a coach who assesses my natural swing and makes minor adjustments from there, rather than trying to completely restructure my form to copy someone else. After all, I am unique--complete with a beautiful face and bronze skin! I believe in playing my own way. Honestly, people should try hitting the way I do, because I can drive the ball incredibly far, especially for an amateur. While I still recommend him as a coach because of his expertise, he just wasn't the right fit for my personal goals. Everyone is different, and that's the beauty of being human; we all have the freedom to grow and make our own choices here in the US. I hope this review helps you decide if Dolphin Highlands is the right spot for you!

Ranger saw our frustration, took our commish out to survey who remained, came back and told us to tee off (now 10:20) of #16 and #17. When we got there, pro shop dude came out and ordered us back to #1. We said NO, unless all 16 get full refunds. NOT Beginner or POC Friendly - Disrespectful and Discriminatory Experience…read more My fiancé (white and experienced golfer) took my sister, her partner, and me (Black and Hispanic, beginner golfers) for a day out at Rich Valley. While he's played here before without issue, our diverse group was met with clear hostility. Despite being courteous--letting faster players play through--we were aggressively confronted by an older white staff member who skipped any greeting or introduction and immediately scolded us for being "too slow", claiming she received 3 complaints about our group. Her tone, language, and attitude were clearly meant to make us feel unwelcome, and her strong suggestion that we either "hurry up" or return when the "weather isn't as nice" was a passive aggressive attempt to push us off the course. When I tried to explain how unprofessional and racially charged her approach was, she doubled down. Only then did she mention a beginner-friendly course available on the property. Something that she could've led with if inclusivity or customer service mattered to this establishment. This experience left us feeling dismissed, disrespected, and judged not just for our inexperience, but for who we are. Unfortunately, this experience also confirms the stereotype: Rich Valley Golf is still an exclusionary space and extremely out of touch. POC and new golfers--spend your money somewhere else where you're respected and welcomed.
