I set up an account and made an appointment.. Hoped in a Lyft and went over.. Oh my gosh, these people are amazing! I have never done a Brazilian sugar wax before (or any type of wax for that matter) and Nicki definitely helped put me at ease. I go here for spray tans a couple times a year. I have fair skin and as a guy, I don't want to look Orange. They have custom airbrush that can give you a great even complexion without looking fake. Got lots of compliments :) and I also got my airbrush about a week before my vacation (due to my scheduling conflicts) and it still looked great once I landed in Mexico. They have great staff that make you feel very comfortable, and this is the only place I will go in all of SF. read more

The owner, Nycole, did my lash lift 2 weeks ago. I've had them in the past at other locations, and it seems one of my eyes take longer to curl. After she finished, Nycole noticed the difference and graciously kept me longer to try to fix the issue. At the end of the session, my left eye was curled and the right was still pretty flat, but the perm solution was not safe to re apply for another week. I returned for a complimentary retouch and now both eyes have beautifully curled lashes! I love that Nycole is genuinely committed to quality care and patient satisfaction. I LOVE Sugar Society! All of their products are natural & organic which goes a long way if you care about your skin. I've waxed & sugared at MANY different places in the city, and they are by far the best :) Shockingly it hurts significantly less when I do a bikini sugaring at Sugar Society, and I don't break out or even go red. Products are natural & smell/react well with my skin (they don't even use talcum powder Powder) Their prices are pretty standard as well (and comparing to Barre in the Marina, much cheaper!). Their small salon is so beautifully decorated, it's a pleasure to be in there. All the small touches (fluffy blanket to lie on, plants & scented candles) are appreciated! I came for a spray tan and I love the place and my stylist was sweet and amazing and I opted for the standard Dry Oil spray tan option, and I would give 5 stars for service but super disappointed about the actual tan. I wore loose clothes and do spray tan occasionally so know that drill, but it just came out really splotchy and missed spots and I crossed my legs after the tan while having lunch and it left a patchy area. I think the spray formula has some issues and that's my only reason for a lower review, it was expensive and was sadly a C outcome at best. read more

I discovered this place through classpass. They were offering a half set lash extension. I didnt know what that meant but figured id give it a try (not enough credits for full set). Location is great lots of great eats! Anyway, the interior design was so cute! So much cute furniture! Loved it. Hannah helped me out today! Right away, she was so hospitable and friendly! She explained what a half set consists of, so its really just the outer edges of eyes, with some near inner part of eye just to blend it. She asked if id like a cat eye effect, which i said yes to since never tried that! Was an hour long session. Good music playing in background to keep me from falling asleep :) relaxing table thing too! The outcome was even better than i expected!!! I honestly love the half set bc its quite natural looking!! Was full enough to my liking! She even gave me a little spoolie thing to maintain my lashes couldnt be happier with my visit here! Keeping a salon clean & recognising practical ways to appeal to your customer to me requires very little. Don't wax women in front of a store window, take out the trash, don't chat while your customer waits partially naked for her service. I hope this helps. This place is literally a 1-stop shop and offers SO many beauty services. Nycole is amazing at what she does! She always gives consistently flawless/even tans that are the perfect, natural color (not orangey at all)! I am SO GLAD I found Erica! I am hooked on her spray tans-- from the rapid tans to the 8 hour you really can't go wrong. She is super quick (which worries me the first time I was there), but my tans turn out stellar every time :) i am really digging the Dry Oil solution she has too!! I was recently a little bummed they were closed on NYE (2017), so I had to go elsewhere. This other place took a longer time and were very thorough, but now it's a day later and I'm blotchy (and kinda orange) all over. LESSON LEARNED: ALWAYS GO TO ERICA. I've been in a couple times to visit erica. The first appoint was a lash extension / brow tint. I'm a blonde and was hesitant to get a tint but it turned out SO WELL. I booked my appointment through ClassPass and had to unfortunately cancel due to an emergency. ClassPass policy states that late cancellations will incur a $15 fee BUT will refund you of your credits so that you can rebook. Luckily I was able to find a slot the next day so I rebooked. I am traveling the next day so was super excited about getting my lashes done, took me about 45 minutes to get there by bart/uber as I don't have a car, only to be told that not only did I incur the $15 late fee (which is initially no problem) but they will not take me in for my appointment and my 31 credits will not be refunded- if I wanted service I'd have to pay full price.... PRETTY FRUSTRATING AND SO ANNOYING. Manager simply put the blame on ClassPass and offered no resolution and no customer service - not a good way to gain clientele and have people become promoters of this small business. They seem pretty new to ClassPass as their policies do not match and while ClassPass states you can still rebook and be refunded, This Sugar Society place states otherwise. They should really have it written on their ClassPass page that their policies are different from ClassPass cause I KNOW this would piss a ton of people off. I've easily rebooked and was refunded with many other services through ClassPass so this place has got to get it together... Anyways, I was refunded by Class Pass for both my credits and the $15 but still annoyed I was excited and took the time to check this place out.. read more

I get sugared by Nycole. She is professional and friendly and a perfectionist when it comes to getting it exactly the way I want. Her studio is in Salon Village, a conglomerate of beauty-related salons. If you arrive after hours, you are buzzed in at the front door. Parking on the street is usually not so bad but if you find yourself circling around for parking during certain time of the day, you can park in Jackson Street parking lot. Her studio is adorable and very cozy. I love the decor on the walls, the rich colors of the walls, and everything just feels so welcoming ad warm. Oh and I think she sometimes offers wine, so if you are into a little extra pampering like that, it could be extra enjoyable! read more

My usual tanning spot just closed, and with Halloween right around the corner, I needed to find a new spray tanning spot and fast! After reading the rave reviews for this place, I decided to give it a try. Online booking was super easy, and I was pleased to find availability, especially right before Halloween! This was my first spray tan with an actual person as I've always just done the automatic booths. While the ladies were all very personable and professional, and the experience was not nearly as awkward as I had anticipated, my spray tan unfortunately didn't turn out so well... I woke up this morning to find multiple streaks down both the backs of my legs/thighs and the sides of my stomach. I've had many spray tans before so I know the rules (wait 7-8 hours to shower, don't sweat, etc), and I followed them! The color also turned out too light, which I'm actually glad about now given the streak situation. Maybe this was just an off experience, but I'm pretty disappointed! Three stars since everyone was really friendly and the "spray experience" was comfortable, but max two for the actual tan results. Guess I'll be incorporating tights into my Halloween costume. read more
